Probably got ninja'd, but only alpha users get all future updates for free because of an old promise he made to alpha testers.
Beta users get the finished product and all bugfixes. You'll likely have to pay for new content and stuff though.

I have seen several videos of the edge of the minecraft world. The chunks get screwy and you start lagging. Nothing new. Though it has started to look cooler in recent updates.

b. overfeed them
