well, i've made myself a little obsidian base for anyone who happens to be in my save when reunion 2012 happens. there's an iron door with a button to open it from the outside, and anyone can access it at the moment. but what if an ultra griefer joins forces with those creepers and helps them open the door???

i tried it, both here and YouTube, and all the designs were nice, except i need one for a small enclosure, like one that can fit around a door frame. slightly bigger, maybe, but not by much. anyone have any suggestions? oh, and don't just say, use the NOT gate or whatever, because such diagrams perplex me. and no i'm not dumb, i go to Hunter. provide a link to a video or draw up a diagram and i will understand better. thanx! here is some to help you along your journey on the land of Post Replai!

Okay, this won't look exactly like how you should make it, but I'll explain the gate and how it connects. Once you understand the gate connections, it should be pretty simple for you to understand how to re-organize it to fit your room. If not, just ask.
Anyway,
[>>-i>] = lever = Redstone = Redstone ON TOP OF A BLOCK = Red Torch ON TOP OF A BLOCK = Red Torch ON THE SIDE OF A BLOCK
(very important difference there) = Block (any block) = Iron Door = Button/pressure plate. Doesn't really matter
[] = Air. Nothing is there, just a space
Okay so as long as you keep the input in the same place, you can move one of the buttons/pressure plates outside and make the lever inside.
Also, you can build this underground. Make sure the Lever and Button are 1 block above the Redstone if you make it underground. Same with the door.
To help make sure you understand the AND Gate, here are the stages of design. Use the same Legend as above
First stage, setup three blocks next to each other. Any blocks
Second, set two torches on the two ends
Third, set a torch on the side of the middle block, pointing in the direction you want the output going (towards the door)
