As an item? I'm fine with it. Outside of screwing over SMP (again) with a new ore type, I do like having more gems. I'm like a magpie, I just like hordeing shiny, glittery objects.

As currency, I can only wonder what they're smoking up at Mojang inc. Gold nuggets would have worked far better. Coins you can make out of nuggets, for that matter.

    Quote from marcopolo1613

I need to have the ore generation classes from each mod that runs meta data, i.e. redpower, forge, etc., then I can patch through the generation. But I need permissions, classes, and time, which all need to wait until at least the tenth, because that is when I am done with school.

edit: oh and BOD's one year aniversery is the 20th :D

I was one of the first users of this mod, I'm very happy to see you're still updating! Keep up the good work. :)

This is phenomenal! I hope you'll consider releasing a MCEdit schematic for it, possibly.

Us Baldur's Gate minecraft fans need to form a clan or a union or a guild or something.

It's possible that this issue is related to this.

Watch your processes in the Task Manager, or in Process Explorer, to see if there are other processes interfering with Minecraft. Other processes using a high percentage of CPU might indicate a conflict.

I fully agree, what i don't see is how people can claim that Yogscast must have handeled Minecon perfectly without doing anything wrong at any point whatsoever. Even when they did apologize for dropping f-bombs on the show.

Everyone makes mistakes, mojang sure made many related to minecon, the minecon organizers seems to have done their fair share too. So why can't people admit that also the Yogscast can make mistakes? Honestly i couldn't care less if the yogscast did swear in front of a kid or not as they defenetly wouldn't do it on purpose. But swearing is natural to them (after all they ARE British :tongue.gif: ) so why are people so determined on that they can't possibly have accidentaly sweared in front of a kid while signing something. It's not like it suddenly make them bad people or anything, it just makes them human...

Because Yogscasts' mistakes hasn't gotten people harassed, slandered and DDOSed after they paid good money to fly across half the world to help a multimillionaire promote his own game. Yogscasts' mistakes are, at worst, not thinking of the children, and it only happened because Mojang ****ed up the screening in the first place.

So did they actually say yogscast made minecraft popular or just yogsBox.

If yogsBox you can't really deny that modders have contributed a lot to minecraft.

The mutually growing popularity of both has made Minecraft what it is today. Minecraft gave the impetus that helped Yogscast explode from a somewhat popular WoW thing into the internet mainstream; Yogscast's promotion of the game helped boost Minecraft's sales substantially. This is why it's so distressing - both sides have a lot to lose, alienating each other, yet Notch seems to think he can do throw them under a bus without repercussion. At best it shows he's rather ignorant of Yogscasts' accomplishments; at worst, that he's become very, very full of himself.

Social Media is not a paid job, and if you're expecting money for it, you should probably negotiate those terms up front, instead of trying to use leverage on the back end of the whole thing.

They were likely specifically asking for compensation for appearing at the convention, which probably only entailed paying for the tickets and lodging there (which would be as expensive as hell, going from the UK to Vegas). And since, yes, you're right, social media ISN'T a paid job (while game development sure as **** is), I'm willing to bet that Simon and Lewis weren't exactly in a prime position to foot the whole bill for plane tickets and lodging on their own.

This is basically what I am saying, though certain assholes keep seeing me as supporting one side or the other depending on what preconceived biases that they already hold.

It kind of sucks to be in the position of being insulted and bullied because of other people's flaws.

I would be happy if this turned out to be a major misunderstanding or bizarre troll on Notch's part, pleased as punch. But until either that or an apology from Notch he's in the wrong here.

    Quote from Da_Greatest_Mage

Yeah, it is hard work not blindly believing every single thing I have ever read on the internet.

See this is why I insult people. I pay compliments and what happens? I get my hand bit. : /

Good one dude. Totally got me there.

Yes, let's take one side of the story and prosecute the "villain" of that story with out giving said "villain" an chance to defend their selves.

But seriously, you guys have no idea what has happened besides some rage tweets from notch, speculation, and in general crowd effect.

I for one, while only really starting to watch Yogscast quite recently, will stick to it that they are innocent until proven guilty.

In nine out of ten Minecraft issues, I have sided with Notch. The last time I criticized him and Mojang was during the authentication server failures in February. I'm not (was not) a Notch hater before this. But good job on keeping an open mind, yourself.

I don't think he was trying to insult you. At least I didn't get that from his post.

Nah, I was, it's alright dude.

Just because everyone else was too dumb to ask for compensation doesn't mean it was right to screw the Yogscast over, especially when the other participants were probably more able to foot the bill than the Yogscast was; especially Deadmaus, and probably had to travel less far than the Yogscast did.

Deliberations over payment might very well have just been a discussion on if payment was to be rendered or not. It might have been that Yogscast asked and Notch was wrankled by the fact that they even asked for payment.

OH MY GOD WHAT THE HELL IS THAT? KILL IT! KILL IT WITH FIRE!

Wait, nevermind, that's just the gap in Simon's teeth. I should really know better. I used to react the same way to my own gap until I got used to it.

How dare they ask for money for plane tickets that are going to cost thousands and thousands of dollars for a round trip from the multi-millionaire so they can promote his game.

If you can't understand why the Yogscast would not only want but need compensation for this and deserved compensation for this you're a troll or just really dumb.
