day 4(for me):I got my hatchet and chopped some logs up from my fire wood. then I put gloves on to make some sticks. then I put half of the remaining log into a hole i dug, and covered the rest with gasoline then lit it with a flint.
I thought it would last forever and I fell asleep. when I woke up, I saw a little green bug. Thinking it was a creeper, I threw the last of the log at it. I ate pork but my hand still hurts now. anyone think I should get some ghast meat to heal it?
not real, but sounds like something I would do if I went without minecraft for about 5 months.
Wow. Seriously? You're doing a parody to Diary of a Creeper/Miner's Eternity?
I do NOT approve. Ask the guys who made those stories to go ahead and LET YOU USE THAT STUFF.
~Superbloxty The ***** **** tit **** ***** ***** anus.
Mod edit: Don't continue this line of conversation in this thread.
If you are talking about the story; READ THE TOP OF THE PAGE where it clearly states that this story is not copying others even if it might seem and please give the guy a break. He is new to this and has some fresh ideas that others might actually like. If you are talking about Jesonomi, he is right, you are acting like a douche.
Kind sir, you won and a mine. you win at everything, and happy belated new year. I've actually been with minecraft for 4 months now, and am familiar with trolls and flame warmongers, but thank you. also, check the red text next to his ~superbloxty. mods hate him. :smile.gif:
Damn, i wanted to reply to this uber-awesome thread right after Jesonomi's post but it didnt work! This is the best story yet on this forum! I really did read it with lot of interest!! This thread deserves diamonds.
Aww, look at DOAC/a Miner's Eternity. those epic-sauciness stories inspired me to write this. I wrote this in about 30 minutes and expanded it from chapter 2 to chapter 4, or whatever chapter it may be on. My sequel will come out quite soon,
I like this idea a lot. Though would you really need to go in drawing mode? Can't you just select it on your hotbar and paint if the block is near enough?
I think charcoal should be something like this though:
[] []
[] []
[] [] = 8x Charcoal
or better
[] [] []
[] []
[] [] = 4x Charcoal
so you can make it while exploring.
Would give a use to those mountains of coal I have lying around.
But I don't think that makes much sense. (Seriously, can coal turn into charcoal?)
It would make more sense if you burn wood for it. I suppose there would be no need for a drawing mode but then it would be harder to draw and I'm not sure if it would work too well from different angles. Also there would be no erase. I think drawing would be a big gui like a crafting table but with a big box having whatever the texture of the box you're drawing on. Then on the side it would have draw & erase.
charcoal is burned coal.
coal on coal action in a furnace, anyone?
I'm on my laptop, and since i bought my account I have never been able to play the legit version of minecraft on my computer. The General loading bar never goes past about 5% when instead of downloading packages, lwjgl.jar 0-100%
and then minecraft.jar 0-100% like on my laptop, i get INSTA "Fatal error (4): unable to download lwjgl.jar."
i've tried un-installing manually and automatically, java, and minecraft, and guess what? FATAL ERROR (4) AGAIN. YOU GOTTA HELP ME, YOU KNOW WHAT TO DO, OH LORD :iapprove:!!!
also, my laptop's wireless isn't very good, so badly functioning multiplayer, and tiny render distance. on my computer, i have a pirated beta 1.1.9. thats wrong, i know. but its the only way to get my minecraft. I'm sorry. please don't ban me. multiplayer is disabled on it, so it's not like a free full minecraft. thank you for your time, tell me any possible fix please. ;_;
I am Fairly new to minecraft, and Brand new to the forums, but i know enough to get by.
I was inspired to write this story by reading many other stories. I know it's probably cliche or corny, but here goes. Please note that if I reference someone's work, or merge my story close to it, I AM NOT COPYING.
Prologue
"Hey 'Neil!" I called into the other capsule using the spaceship's PA.
"'Niel?" I said again. I waited a bit. No reply. I go into the Navigation Room to see what prank he's doing. I notice we're near our destination that NASA programmed for 'Niel and I. Niel Armstrong is a good hearted, lovable, but conceited man. He also has a fetish for pranks. I'm Mike. An Astronaut who loves to create things. One time I had to craft a makeshift LN adapter To save Armstrong at Apollo 11.
I snapped back to the present. 'Niel was gone, and I was approaching the target planet. Before I could react, An enormous flash of light as bright as the sun, yet as clear as diamond flooded my mind and I knew no more. It seemed like sleeping overnight, but maybe I was in a coma. Anyways, I found myself in a place much like Earth, except it was undiscovered, untouched, uninhabited. Virgin. And the whole area was compromised of Blocks.
Even I had turned to be made of blocks.
Chapter 1: A New Beginning
Upon looking around, I found pigs, cows, and chickens. There were trees, and an ocean. I was on a beach, apparently. On the opposite side of the ocean was a desert, and nearby me, there was also a cave with some veins of coal at its lip. I also noticed ten red hearts that I couldn't directly look at, and under them, some sort of an inventory bar. It was the same setup as my helmet status, accessories and hull, but in my body, I figured since there was no helmet on my head. Was the light related to this? Also, My ocular implants were diluted. I couldn't see through anything and everything on command, although I could still see very far.
I checked my Journal. The year had changed from 2080, to a constantly changing number. And all of my bookmarked dates were gone. even 2018, when Armstrong got his body restored into a cyborg. Oh, The advances in technology since 2010. There was one date left. It was the first number I could make out on the journal. 4587328. It read "E74 ERROR. NO CONNECTION. NO KNOWN TIME. RESETTING. CALCULATING YEAR. MANUALLY INSERT DATES UNTIL DATES CAN BE CALCULATED." The sun was moving quite fast, so I decided to fashion a small dagger out of some branches I broke off of a tree. I then went to work slashing logs off of the trees.
High noon, and I had about 5 neat stacks of 64 wooden planks apiece. What to do? I looked back at the cave. Coal, eh? Maybe I could fashion some torches with my branches and that coal! And if there's gravel-- YES! There is! I could extract flint from them and strike a light with the torches! I just found a spot to secure a nice shelter too! I fashioned a pickax and got to work. I dug out a 10x5 little hole and used the left over cobble to make a better pick. The coal was much easier to mine, and I soon had several torches blazing in my cave. A pig had wandered into my alcove, so I killed it and it was done and over with. Pork. Lovely. I held the pork in the flame of one of my torches, and cooked it nicely. Chapter 2: The Horrors and Wonders of the New World
Whilst enjoying the beautiful sunset, something occurred to me. What sorts of creatures might come out at night on this planet? I ruled out all other possible explanations besides the fact that since this planet is much like earth, the same creatures might appear, such as some weak wolves and foxes, to prey on the weaker animals. Since there might be a pack of wolves wandering their way into my home, I Put together a stone-blade sword and waited. And waited. And waited.
As might be expected, a spider came through the hole into my cave. Except this spider was unnatural; Maybe even a little satanic. It was a wide as i was tall, and half my height. It's fangs were about a foot long, like ivory shanks. The spider tried to pounce, but I caught it in mid-flight. Its weight was immense for its size, and it's fangs still managed to lacerate my right shoulder. I toppled to the ground, but not after letting it's body sink through my sword.
The fight was won, and the spider emptied it's innards into my wall, the spoils being useful string. But alas, at a heavy cost. My right arm was ruined, and was gashing out with blood. According to my "HUD"(as I liked to call it,) I had four hearts and counting. DOWN. I felt very hungry, so I ate the pork I had. Almost at once, My shoulder's bleeding had stopped, the gaping hole instantly filled in, scabbed, and scarred. The hearts on my HUD increased to 8 and stayed that way. This world is amazing! Food heals you! Maybe this world isn't so similar to Earth after all!
Realizing that more monsters might come into my home, I covered most of the opening with cobblestone, put together a door on my Flat-packable . Emergency . Working . Bench( or FEWB for short,) placed it into my left over 1x2 doorway, and nailed it into the left of the opening for a hinge. Afterward, I compacted a small bed out of dirt that I collected on the way to the cave. It took awhile to get to sleep, but I managed to recover some of my strength in an uncomfortable, yet satisfying sleep.
I awoke with a start, feeling ready to take on anything in the world. I left my cave, a new spring in my step.
I decided to collect some more logs, since I might need the planks and sticks later. I was watching the leaves of the last tree for today drop down, when I spotted a pile of leaves in the shape of a human. He had a permanent expression of terror and shock on his face. He had his arms blown off, apparently. He shied closer, saying in near-inaudible words, "hel-lo?" I walked towards him excitedly, thinking that maybe I wasn't alone. "Hello there, Fellow! Covered in leaves I see! Are you hiding from someone?" He tried to say something, but a sizzling sound only came out. sssssSSSSSSsssss..... Oh no. His eyes were completely empty, and so was his mouth. I soiled myself, looking into the green face of horror. All was lost. A grenade-like explosion came from almost nowhere, Blowing off the front of my body. as my intestines, stomach, and heart all slowly spilled out, I saw that the creature's legs were left behind. There were four of them, and they were more like feet. I lay down, waiting for the lord to take me.
He didn't come. I closed my eyes and as the last of my blood came out, everything became blank. I woke up, and the day was bright. Was I in heaven? I still had my HUD in my vision, and I was in the same spot as I was after the light in my spaceship. What witchcraft was this? How did I lose the last drop of blood from my last heart(literally,) and LIVE!? I went to the top of the highest part of the cliff where my home was carved in to, and jumped off.
My legs splintered and cracked, my eyes filled to the brim with tears. I ignored the pain, and waited. It didn't take long to bleed out like last time, since there were huge openings for blood to escape. Like last time, too, I did respawn.
Chapter 3: An unexpected friend
Inside my cave, there was another green creature. I decided to call them creepers, since they creeped around. What was it doing there? Out of instinct, I set up a blockade that the creeper couldn't get through, but by that time, he noticed me. I could have sworn that I heard him saying "sorry about last time" before the horrible sizzling started again. Except this time, the creeper turned around and sprinted into the farthest corner of the room, and the sizzling stopped. It might have been something I smelled earlier, or it was the insanity settling in after seeing how much like a video game this world was, but I could now clearly hear it say "No explode... NO EXPLODE." I quickly replied with a rude retort, maybe out of anger for the creeper's kind. It's best not to say anything about that. I struck a rather defiant conversation with the creeper that lasted 'till nightfall. He kept saying something about a type of rock called netherrack, and not exploding. The creeper also said something about some places called Creeptopolis, and Providence, and about some person called Charle. I just found a quest to push both this planet's reference to a video-game, but also my very possible insanity!
I let the creeper out of my cave by breaking down part of the barricade, and opening the door for him; only to be greeted by the sizzling again as he walked out. thank god that he didn't destroy my base. I noticed that the face of horror that was on the other creeper wasn't present for this one. It had a faint smile. A group of rather slow walking folk who looked brutally injured passed by, and I followed them, hoping to make some friends of my own race. As I approached them, one of the shorter ones turned around and screeched. All the others screeched, and before I knew it, one was talking very slowly, "Noooooooooot...... CHaaaaaaaaRLE...... KILL BAAAAAAAD HUUUUUMAAAAAAAN......." Zombies... Well, if green people could explode, and death wasn't even comparable to a papercut, Zombies WOULD seem logical... I pulled out my stone sword and started the massacre. The creeper came running back to me, yelling "STOP IT, ZHARLE!!!! THIS HUMAN IS FRIENDLY LIKE CHARLE!!!! YOU TOO, CROOKANT AND SHADOWLURKER!!!!" "he..... frieeeeendly?" "Yes, he is, now-- I SAID, STOP IT, CROOKANT. THIS HUMAN HAS HAD ENOUGH; erm... excuse me, what is your name, human?" "Mike, and what is your name, creeper?"
"Duffman, now please follow me to creeptopolis. our skeleton scientist created a portal to a place we have come to call the Nether. We believe it has materials that stop our sizzling whenever we are near the humans. Normally, I would explode if I came this close to you, but with the nether necklace I'm wearing, I can come closer, although I can still explode." "Gooooooooo.... Creeptooooopoooooolissssss......." "Keep your head on, Shadowlurker. We're going to be there soon." Duffman talked about what I had to do in the Nether. Apparently, There's a different stone I have to collect, but it's only navigable to Zombies, although they aren't fast(or coordinated) enough to dodge these giant-white-monsters-called-Ghast's attacks, which happened to be the material I needed to gather but on fire.
Chapter 4: Creeptopolis
Within a minute, The zombies, Duffman and I were at Creeptopolis. I've been at the same area before, but the entrance is very well hidden. Upon a second's inspection, I saw there was a refined glass roof, a park at the center of the crude city, that had a small tower with a blue cage on top, and close by, portal with a dark-purple frame, filled with a light-purple jello-like substance that would take me to the Nether in the blink of an eye. I talked to a rather large creeper called Jonno, and he told me the exact mission. I was to use wheat tied together as a rope to get to the Nether mountaintops where the material called Lightstone was. He also explained to me about zombie pigmen, who wouldn't hunt me on sight, but rather, chase me down as a horde of ten to fifty, should I hit one of them.
Epilogue
I wasn't excited, but for the sake of peace, I took the resources they offered, and stepped into the portal. It looked as if I was in a pool of water, but felt like I was being put inside of a meat grinder. After four seconds of near-infinite pain, my stomach lurched, and I found myself in a burning hell. everything was evil looking. I stepped out, only to find that, seconds later, the frame of my end of the portal had completely degraded.
