Taking another look at the map, I can see it doesn't need another wool. I was just worried about how once one team gets the wool, the game would become a sort of double-lockdown, where the team without the wool guards the Monument Dungeon, and the team with the wool guards the other team's Fleecy Box. This could still pose an issue, but the trees are laid out well enough that teams shouldn't get too easily locked down when running the wool.
Also, I experimented with the blaze spawners. They will spawn in daylight so long as it happens to be raining. In full daylight, without rain, they are inert.
Yeah, I was intending the Monument dungeon to be the main lockdown point. It would thus encourage people to try to go back and get better supplies (and fire resist potions, they're really handy) via the optional dungeons. It could then become a tradeoff between trying to get to the wool and control the high ground or going for the optional dungeon(s) while the other team tries to rush the wool.
Also, I may make something of a compromise and just put a bedrock ceiling over that specific part of the map.
Yeah wow it's not like he was near the creeper or whatever, smartass. Don't come around here acting like you own the place, and arguing with the regulars. Hybran is one of the best Minecraft players out there, so shut your stupid mouth, okay?
Yes, he probably should have made it so that the creeper could actually GET to the blaze, but that's no reason to be rude.
I'd like to point out that the creeper and blaze spawners in the monument dungeon do not spawn mobs in the daytime. Also, the optional dungeons is a great idea, but when there's only one wool dungeon to go for, it's better to just rush the wool rather than go for the optional dungeons. The monument dungeon somewhat balances out the single wool, but all in all, there should be more wools.
Also, I advise you to replace the dirt blocks in the Jungle Trees with Jungle Wood blocks. It would look much nicer.
Otherwise, this map looks really nice. A lot of variety in how to approach it.
I believe the blazes should spawn, right? There is some room not directly exposed to the sun. Regardless, the creepers have to be changed... I was originally considering putting a bedrock roof over the whole thing. I think I may still do that. Regarding the additional wools (This is in reply to The_Forgotten as well), it was intended to provide quick but still fun matches. If people really think it needs another wool, though, I might make the optional dungeons non-optional, but slightly easier.
Also be careful not to make the place too big if you're not going to give hints as to it's location. A good example was the Hall of Flame north, where it was fairly obvious where you had to go, despite the fact that everything looked the same. The Rattlebone Crypts were repetitive, had to be cleared out step-by-step, etc., but it was fairly small and the wool wasn't in danger.
Also, you could tunnel Rattlebone. I never tested if you could tunnel HoF North... anyone know offhand?
Hey! We could do something like a "hint chest" for things that need to be found(like the waking up chapters) or how to get past an area, and it would be full of awesome riddles by me and Del. That would be awesome.
I actually had an idea a while back for the CTM map I'm currently making: add a room with a series of halls that have progressively clearer hints as to where the objectives can be found... If I decide to do that, can I enlist the two of you? It would mean you'd get exclusive pre-access to my map...

I believe some loot was added, and it might have been the update where a couple shortcuts were added.

Yeah, I realized that after posting. That's why I edited my post.

Well, if you head over to reddit.com/r/mctourney, they've got a great community there where you can form a team and play against other people.

What's the exchange rate for those points? I mean, what are 5 Practical points worth compared to 5 Awesome points?
Also: My next RFW map is coming soon... a more standard map, this time, but still with its own twists.

I'd almost consider it a mid-game weapon, depending on the enchants.

humble start:
"I bet there's something behind here."
*digs out gravel, reveals creeper spawners*
O_O (and yes, he had a facecam)
