    * Why do you want to join the clan? I would like to join to help others.
    * What do you want to do in the clan? Have fun mining and making housez.
    * Wich rank do you wish to aqquire? ranked forst to third most wanted rank. Head Stoneminer, Stone Miner, Reditechit or whatever.
    * What is special about you? I am very smart and I can have access to any computer and easily 'hack' scripts to my liking, I also have 4 younger kids, and I am young, so I have leadership abilities. Not asking for much.
    * What is your redstone experience? I am normal, I use redstone regularly, not specially, but usually.

    THANK YOU

posted a message on I'm addicted to my mob trap
Welcome to the club. I do stuff like that too. But what you COULD do is direct the items into a area into your house. Remember, they only last five minutes, so spend at least 5 minutes mining then come back. Better yet, destroy the trap or don't pick up the items. You can easily go out and collect the drops from Mobs that die in daylight. But you may want to make a special moat around your house. Just in case. Try making a moat all around your house and use logic gates or doors with Redstone to get off the moat. The moat is directed into one spot in your home where you pick up the goodies. Believe me, someone made a moat HOUSE. Where it was sitting on glass and water. Seriously. Try doing it so you can stay in your house and still collect.

    Hope I helped.

posted a message on How to survive your first night!
Okay, you just started playing. Okay Mr. Tuff Guy, you became a guru on every topic of Minecraft. Minepedia and the Forums have enhanced your knowledge based off your friends.

You click Play. Then, it loads.

    'Oh CRAP!'

Yeah. Fail. We all had this moment. Wetting your pants is NOT an option. Pause. Lookie here.

    Building your first Shelter
First, people will ALWAYS say 'GO GET THAT DARN WOOD NAO!' I say build a shelter first. I focus on survival first, then safety.
So either find a mountain and build a small cave, or build a house. If you just want to get it over with, dig with your bare hands (You know the button) at least 3 blocks deep, 2 blocks wide, and 2 blocks tall. Or 2x2x3.
Then, you go and chop down the tree trunks outside and get at least 20 wood. If you want more wood to get rid of boredom, then go for 30. If you want to get inside before nightfall QUICK, then just hole up with 20 or more. Even if you see the sun set, you got a minute and a half before monsters spawn. YOU CAN DO IT.
If you want quicker results, then craft planks out of wood. You get a lot more bricks, so use four planks to make a work bench. Make a cubby hole with room for 3 more bricks next to it to the right or left. Then use two Dirt Blocks to wall up part of the entrance. do the bottom.

Once you have a workbench, craft this recipe:
    :wood: :wood:
    :wood: :|:
    [] :|:
    [] :|:

You have made your first tool. An axe.
Okay, so you COULD have gone to the wiki. Noob.

How to stay Entertained on your First Night.

Okay, you holed up in fear. You've just sealed your Fate. You shall live! You shall...you're bored.
    Try making swords:
    [] :wood:
    [] :wood:
    [] :|:

Swords are a great thing to have. But you need to MINE for minerals later. DON'T do it in your home. I've done it once, and it SCREWED IT UP. If by awesome chance, you see :cobblestone: floating around, DIG IT WITH A PICK AXE!
    :wood: :wood: :wood:
    [] :|: []
    [] :|: []
    [] :|: []

Mine it for all is worth. If you see :stone: then STILL mine it. Using the Cobblestone you have achieved, 'upgrade' your weapons and tools by replacing planks with cobblestone. They last longer and mine better minerals.

Still bored? Okay, Mr. I-am-not-grateful-for-living. Stick your head out your barricade and blow raspberry at all the enemy mobs you see. I'm waiting for the red screen!

What to do in the Aftermath
Okay, you hid out for a long time. NOW YOU'RE REALLY BORED. Try to venture out (IN THE DAY) and look for :coalore:. I know, COAL! Many have found coal right next to their home but only if you dug through a mountain. Hitting coal with your fists = dust. Hitting with a pick axe, I like cobblestone, = coal. :Coal: :Coal: :Coal: time! Now do the following recipe:

    [] [] []
    [] :Coal: []
    [] :|: []

I think that's the recipe. Now you made :--+: and not your pants wet. Place these in your home in case you die (BOTTOM SECTION) so monsters don't spawn in there. Also, you can now venture out wildily in the country, in the day away from sight of your shelter. Why? You can make a TOWER! My first letter of my name is T; and my favorite letter. So I make huge towers of them out of dirt and place torches on them. I can always find the tower I placed on my house following the towers before it.

You also want to do this and build 'temp shelters' to live in. If you can't make it home, you can go into an emergency shelter right on the nearest tower. They have chests with a sword or two and has grilled pork at ready. There is a workbench and a forge at ready. When day comes, you can fill up the chests again and go home.

Try finding saplings from trees. If you want to go pyromaniac, then at least keep two saplings from the leaves of the tree that is going to be burnt. You must plant saplings in your house if you depend on wood.

    Try farming. Make a hoe:
    :cobblestone: :cobblestone: []
    [] :|: []
    [] :|: []

If you have only wood, replace the cobblestone with planks. Now right-click on ANY grass. You will 'till' it for farming and it will give out any seeds for farming. Plant seeds in a sunny spot next to trees and get buckets of water to make the tilled dirt 'hydrated'. It goes x2 faster when you do that. When the tips of the wheat is brown, or, in the Painterly Pack, the whole wheat brown, then try tilling the wheat. You will gain wheat and even seeds. Craft three wheat in a row horizontally in the workbench to make bread. You may be able to cook bread into LOVELY AWESOMELY TOAST!

DON'T use gold for armor OR weapons OR tools. Guess what? As hard as those are to find, they are useful as PLANKS! Studying has confirmed that gold and plank tools and such last as long as each other. So use Diamonds or Iron, the two most powerful minerals.

    Rules for the After aftermath.
Okay, you got chests filled up with diamond armor and tools. You want a bigger challenge. You stay outside in the night at dark. You finally start to conquer all of the mobs and make a Slime Farm. I am so proud.

Now, either CHEAT or find at least 15 :obsidian: . VERY hard to find. Place them in a portal kind of way. You know what I'm talking about... Portal Recipe is in the Minecraft Wiki. Now, once you light it, you must go in. It is your Fate that was sealed long ago. In you enter and hear the screams of Ghasts and the groaning oinks of Zombie Pigmen.
March and get Lightstone and Slow Sand. Then, RUN BACK TO THE PORTAL LIKE THE EARTH JUST PRONOUNCED JUSTIN BIEBER DEAD! Once you teleport back, you realize that, in your adventures, you see the occasional Ghast or Zombie Pigman. The portal works for THEM TOO! So try to either hole it up with dirt or mine a piece out of the frame.

Once you are FINALLY bored with SSP, then try out SMP. SMP is much better, because there is a community and monsters are no more. Now, look at one of my previous threads in the SMP thread about making a server of your own!

    Thank you for reading.

I would love to be a builder or whatnot. But here is an idea, give the newbie members a tour of all the jobs and the workers! They can try out all of the jobs (including the Captain) and have 'fake' fights with other people starring as zombies and skeletons to test their worthyness of being a Guard or Militia!

Great! Okay, you need three things:

    1. A LOT of :cobblestone: or a hacker.
    2. A currency
    3. COMMUNITY!
    4. Something FUN to do.

    1.
Okay, self explanatory, but try using Invedit or sending off lackeys to mine for cobblestone. Dirt is also useful, but Cobblestone is more prefered.

    2.
I try to use :GoldBar: Gold bars, but you can use something else that is also rare like:
:Ham: :Bacon: Pork and/or Cooked Pork (Cooked being better) Advantages: Self-renewing. Disadvantages: Easy to find, can 1-Up Pork easily.

:Diamond: Diamond Bars. Advantages: Rare and is good for amour and weapons, like olden times. Disadvantages: Almost impossible to find.

]" title="-<->" /> Feathers. Advantages: Between Rare and Common, and is useful for arrows. Disadvantages: Almost none, but is a little more on the Common side.

:Sheep: Wool. Advantages: No use yet, and looks great in houses. Disadvantages, 'money farming'.

    :Flint: Flint. See Wool.

:Coal: Coal. (Thanks to City Builder!) Advantages: There is an abundant amount, but is hard to find. Also, it has uses. Disadvantages: Only if you hate coal.

Use the money accordingly by using Q to drop the money onto the peddler's head(s) and the peddler dropping the item onto the buyers head. Easy!

    .3

Listen, community and people AREN'T RARE. Just get your friends and build a (slightly) cool area, then publish a video tour of it on YouTube or Facebook. Doing this will allow people to flood PM you with 'WUT IZ UR IP LOL' messages.

    .4
Make sure you are ALWAYS doing something. It is much more boring to get a premade map then to make it all on your own. Call council meetings almost every week, and make sure you get some adventure included. Examples are:
[] Recruit a griefer to remove all torches and coal. Let the monsters come into the community. Fight!
[] Try sending out someone to claim, let say, 10 diamond blocks to get money.
[] Move the kingdom to a 'summer home' for awhile.

You can set rules, so people will act better and LIKE the rules, because it rids of some noobs. You can make Spleef arenas to have griefers in a death sentence. You can find two rule breakers who SHOULD be exiled and throw them into a Spleef fight to exile the loser and make the winner come back again. Endless possibilities!

    Tips:
[] Try to make 'noob' chests, where newbies can grab some items to get started.
[] Make lots. Don't share, just offer lots for sale, and sell supplies.
[] Divide into reigions, like making one a 'noob' land, where newbies can start out, and buy lots in the 'Player' land once they are ready.
[] Protect from griefers by playing your server for an hour or two at a time daily, to look out for griefers.
[] Make entertainment. People are always waiting for the boredom time when Minecraft just snaps. Make 'Spleef' arenas where entertainment is charged as always.
    [] HAVE FUN!

Please post any ideas to grow this helpful thread!

posted a message on I would like to see...
Post your multiplayer game ideas here! Not just Surviving anymore...

    Team Survival
You are randomly placed on a team, across from you on the other side of the hill or whatever is the other team. You need to build a shelter and make sure the other players die. You get points for killing them or crafting traps that are then tripped. Enemy Mobs still come out at night, so you need to split up your team into builders and miners. And maybe even ruin the works of the other team. If you die, you go into sandbox mode on another island to just play and build with other 'ghosts'. The last team standing wins. Everything is fair play except for hacking and glitching. You can make traps like freezers, which, is a chest that flies open and releases water that freezes the player for about 1 min or so. You can make fake dummies which pop out in front of someone to scare them away, if the dummy is successful in touching the person, the victim loses 2 hearts. If the player is low on hearts (2 or 1) they will die from heart attack of fright.

Good idea? I would like to see more action and more teamwork involved in making enemies on the other team.
    Remember, post your idea!

EDIT: Whoops, didn't see suggestions thread. Please move!
