Hello. We use 1.7.10 version of the mod and the launcher crashes at the end of 2/7 initializing stage. We add Ram, latest java and forge. It just keeps crashing any soulutions? Thank you.
You need to post a crash report (in a spoiler, please) for anyone to be able to see what is going on.
Does anyone know of a mod which mass replaces blocks? I'm trying to rebuild my spawned Easterling fortress with high-elven blocks, but its rather cumbersome to do by hand.
That's kind of the problem. I've tried getting LotR mobs to spawn in the normal Overworld with absolutely no success. Less than no success, in fact, considering how often the game refused to load with my various config edits.
Somewhat related, but tangentially, I noticed on the wiki that fruit is harvested by breaking the leaves. Do the leaves grow back at some point or does harvesting simply result in a bare trunk? If the latter, I have to question the efficacy of this system.
I got them to spawn, it just took a minute for them to show up.
Honestly, I've had exactly *zero* luck getting LotR mobs to spawn in the Overworld using JAS, so if that's your primary reason for using it, I'd look somewhere else. Plus, there are a bunch of gameplay changes that you may or may not want depending on what other mods are in your pack, especially the enchanting system. Then there's the fact that LotR is practically a mod pack in an of itself. There's new stones, ores, trees with custom wood, crops, quests, an entire biome system separate from vanilla, NPC factions... Good grief, it's almost a separate game.
Not that you can't have other mods in addition to LotR. I've got almost 50 running.
Isn't that only in the special dimension though? I haven't seen anything in the overworld yet myself. I didn't try spawning anything in either, but I guess I should try that and make sure it works before I get public opinion on whether it's worth it or not. I did see that it adds a whole ton of new things and like you said, it's like a modpack in itself, but I don't plan to use the dimension. Not sure if I can make that work or if it's worth the time and effort.
EDIT:
I was able to get Trolls to spawn in the Overworld, though I did notice at first they were spawning and instantly despawning for some reason, but then that stopped on it's own, which is strange. All I did was change their type to MONSTER in the entityhandlers and change their weights and such in the SpawnListEntries.
JAS works on everything that I know of unless the mod has it's own spawn system should work don't know if the world object is going to override though.
I'm more looking for an opinion. I know that JAS will work to spawn the creatures after I set them correctly as monsters. I just want to see if it's worth loading such a hefty mod such as LOTR solely for the mobs and creatures, or if it's too "heavy" of a mod to load just for that and isn't really worth it in the long run and/or causes too much stress/lag on a server with an already hefty mod pack.
Is it feasible to use this mod in a large mod pack solely for the awesome creatures in combo with something like JAS? Or does loading the game hog too many resources for it to be playable with a modpack that already uses around 2gb of memory? Has anyone else done this?
which mod is it you are using, have you checked the mods forum page/faq/wiki for if its fully mp compatible like you want it to be?
I am using the Weather, Storms & Tornadoes mod. It has a "per player" setting in the config, but I don't see a Wiki page for it linked on the curseforge page. Not only that, it has other settings like this that suggest it would work on a server:
# How often in ticks to sync high-wind storm data between server and clients. Might want to increase this for dedicated servers.
I:tickerRateSyncWeatherHighWind=4
# How often in ticks to sync low-wind storm data between server and clients. Might want to increase this for dedicated servers.
I:tickerRateSyncWeatherLowWind=50
I am running a modded minecraft server on 1.7.10, and have added Weather, Storms & Tornadoes. My friend sees a tornado, but I do not. Is it not supposed to show everyone the same weather?
I want the library to add new books when they are found or crafted, to the library. I had it working one time, and ever since I can't get it to work again. I don't know what the configuration was either.
Any idea what the config needs to look like to make it work? This is what I have now:
Hi! I have a issue and could really use the help. I used to play Dr.Zharks for awhile until something happened and now it won't work. I have latest versions that I downloaded on the download forums on his site and it still doesn't work. This is the message.
The game crashed whilst initializing game
Error: java.lang.NullPointerException: Initializing game
I really want to play this again but I always get this. Could really use the help. I'm using 1.12.2
Did you use Mo' Creatures before on 1.12.2 or a different MC version? The latest version I see of Mo' Creatures is for 1.12.1, not 1.12.2.
i have downloaded Minecraft java edition to my windows 10 computer. when i try to use forge, i get nothing. windows media player wont recognize the jar file. i have downloaded jarfix and nothing. i have downloaded the latest version of java by using internet explorer 11 since edge is crap. i have watched a million youtube videos, i have asked many questions over several hours and have not found an answer to my problem. i need mods. i thought mods could be used with the java edition. My computer is about 4 years old- if that makes a difference? I'm new to all of this so I'm learning. i've created a RUN.bat thing and at the last step, nothing. thanks for any help you can provide.
Are you trying to install Forge? Or is Forge already installed, and you're trying to run the server with Forge?
EpicSiegeMod-13.160.jar seems like it would be a mod that might encourage that kind of behavior. Try removing that temporarily and see if it resolves the problem?
I'm trying to add items to chests in Restructured from a mod called MineFantasy2. I can't seem to get the format correct because the config changes to chests.cfg_errored_(date).
I know the proper format for items w/out NBT data is this:
1

Will it ever be possible to have a version compatible with Wolf Armor on older MC versions?

Sorry for the late reply. I deleted this mod almost as fast as I added it. Wasn't worth the headache to strip it down for just a couple creatures.

I'm trying to add items to chests in Restructured from a mod called MineFantasy2. I can't seem to get the format correct because the config changes to chests.cfg_errored_(date).
I know the proper format for items w/out NBT data is this:
"mod:itemname"=min,max,weight
I've tried:
"minefantasy2:MF_Com_plank{MF_CustomMaterials:{main_metal:'refinedwood'}}"=1,1,15
"minefantasy2:MF_Com_plank.withTag{MF_CustomMaterials:{main_metal:'refinedwood'}}"=1,1,15
"minefantasy2:MF_Com_plank.withTag({MF_CustomMaterials:{main_metal:'refinedwood'}})"=1,1,15
Does anyone know how to make it work or if it even does work?
