Quote from Swinger
I dubbed it "Tower of Ambi" in hopes that where ever I was in the world, I would see the tower and know how to find home.
Is that a reference to The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages?
Anyway, my first night was in creative. I spawned in a jungle, built a shack near a lake out of wood that I dubbed "the pioneer house", and tried to make a crafting table by placing oak wood planks in a 2x2 square. When that failed, I kept blowing up TNT until I punched into a cave system, then built a "mining facility"- pretty much just a cubic building made out of iron, lit with redstone torches (I couldn't understand why it was so dark ), decorated with several exhibits of ores (I used an obsidian block as a substitute for a coal block because this was back in 1.2.5, way before coal blocks were added) and with a derpy yellow wisp pixel art on the ceiling (this was shortly after I got Sonic Colors)- above the pit. After many failed attempts, I finally built a Nether portal out of sheer curiosity to see what the Nether was like. I got hopelessly lost. I tried to get back by building another portal, hoping I would be close to my house. I wasn't. After wandering hopelessly, I finally gave up, settled in a cave in another jungle, and built a hut out of gold and diamond ore. Then I tried survival mode.
My first time in survival mode was fun. Basically, I ran around in a desert until I found a forest. I was used to instantly breaking blocks in creative mode, so my fruitless rapid-clicking on a tree perplexed me to no end. I finally googled "how to get wood in Minecraft". A quick look at the wiki revealed that I had to hold left-click to break a block. By that time it was nighttime, so I gave up and deleted my world.
It's amazing how time flies, isn't it? Maybe I'll go back to my first world and use command blocks to link my first and second bases...

My reaction:(Enters Twilight Forest) Woah, this place is pretty cool! (notices health bar at top of screen) HOLY CRUD, IS THAT A NAGA?!
Yep. I spawned in a Naga Courtyard. This should be interesting.

So, how close was I?
Anyway, jokes aside, there's something I wanted to ask you guys.
For quite some time, I've been planning to make a CTM map of my own (I've even brainstormed most of the areas) but when it comes to building the actual areas, I'm stuck. (Seriously, I'm struggling to build just the spawn lobby.)
So, if you don't mind, is it okay if you gave me some newbie mapmaker tips, such as what tools to use, how to tackle building areas, ect.? I would really appreciate the feedback! If any of you are interested in the map itself, just let me know. Thanks!

One rubric to bring them all and in the darkness bind them.
...I couldn't resist.

It's a tutorial. You get it almost as soon as you enter the map to demonstrate how the monument works.

Well, amalon did put some saddled pigs there, although horses would be faster, easier to control, and give you move inventory space (as you wouldn't have to fill your inventory with carrots on sticks). I don't mean to be rude, however; he built that area long before 1.6 was released. Speaking of that area, did anyone else hum the Gerudo Desert music to themselves while traveling through it?
As for horses in CTM maps, I would recommend making them optional and mid- to late-game, sort of like Epona in Ocarina of Time, and giving the player saddled pigs as an early-game mode of transportation. Also, you could use mules with chests to easily transport items between areas and intersections, as an alternative to minecart stations.

Now you know how Antvenom feels...
Also, the new knight strongholds requiring you to use a boss trophy to enter them (as shown by the change log) is, in my opinion, a pretty cool feature. At the very least, it gives boss trophies an use besides decoration.

That has got to be the most mature page get ever. I approve.
Congratulations to everyone who helped to reach this milestone!

It's a movie about a guy who is stuck in one day: every time he dies or the day ends, the day starts over.
As for why everyone's mentioning it, well, if you play the map, it'll make sense.

Your avatar made that about 15x funnier. Anyway, glad to help!
Hey, thanks! I'm just glad to help you guys.

Don't be too hard on yourself; it was your first map, after all! I'm sure BD2 will be far better! (Bedrock Dreams 2, not Black Desert 2. Even Vechz himself disliked Black Desert 2.)
As for Starshine, well, I'm going through a similar thing with an adventure map I'm working on, so you're not alone.
..Welp, Xekaj got some feedback, you got to pummel Devastation Gauntlet like a boss, and I finally found a reason to hate you (namely, for suggesting that an already tricky map be made harder).
Everyone's a winner!
EDIT: Aaaand unintentional page get.

Trust me, you're not the only one.
If it makes you feel any better, I'll probably hate you with a burning passion after you release Starshine... heck, I might even start hating you after I play Bedrock Dreams!
Oh, and thanks for the information! My idea was that you could use the "scrolls" that Xekaj showed us to spawn a boss mob at your leisure. Now I just need to figure out how the "scroll" thing works...

Well, according to the wiki, using magic powder on redcap goblins turns them into villagers, so it should mean that you can have an unlimited (albeit somewhat dangerous) access to villagers and the items that they trade.

I barely even know you, and I like you already.
Hmmm...I think I have an idea for an application for this, so answer me this: does this let you spawn modified mobs (for example, an invisible cave spider that drops nether wart)?
