    Texture packs on pc are free because they are made by players as a hobby and released by those players for free.

    Texture packs on xbox cost a tiny amount of money because they were made by people who do this stuff for a living and who need to eat and pay rent.

    It's not rocket surgery son.

    I would travel the world with no fixed abode, I would see my planet in it's entirety.

    I would seek out the greatest teachers in the world.

    For example I'd pay the worlds greatest stunt driver to teach me to drive.
    I'd pay the worlds greatest fitness experts to teach me to achieve maximum physical potential.
    I'd pay the worlds greatest pilots, martial artists, philosophers, scientists... well you get it.

    I'd already have been to the International Space Station multiple times and would without doubt be the civilian with the worlds most hours in space... Like I said, I'd see the planet in it's entirety.

    I'd invest heavily in longevity R&D, human augmentation, robotics and private space travel (with a view towards commercial industry, so mining on the moon etc).

    My sole occupation would be using that wealth to drive myself and as much of humanity as possible into the kind of future we were promised before it was stolen from us by the shortsighted greed of those unworthy of such wealth.

    A future where sickness, old age and death are being defeated, where automation and AI frees humanity from the bonds of wage slavery and consequently money and consequently, poverty.
    A future of limitless exploration among the stars, finally achieving the destiny all humans know in their hearts is true.

    Vote for me, SBP and I'll use all my money to end all money.

    posted a message on Sonic Ether's Unbelievable Shaders [compatible with Minecraft 1.12.2 via OptiFine]
    Ok, clean Minecraft .jar, optifine installed via magic launcher, no other mods.
    Magic launcher says optifine is "ok".

    Then I install shaders mod using provided installer.

    Go back to magic launcher and it says optifine has "1 error".
    Test runs the game fine but with no apparent effect from shaders mod.

    Now if I install shaders on clean .jar without optifine and run... It works! (shadows, motion blur etc all present), except the water is a bit messed up.

    So I'm pretty confused, I read the OP carefully, I installed everything in the correct order, my pc can totally handle the shaders (as I said, it seems to semi-work without optifine and I can run the game without lag).
    It's driving me nuts because I've had a taste of how good my game could look with this mod. >.

    This was in the log, I assume it's the '1 error' magic launcher was reporting for optifine.

    So I can't connect to Planet Minecraft, been like this for about 2 days.
    I know it's not down, checked all the "is it down?" websites and they say yo it's up.

    I'm wondering if it's a ban of some kind, I'm pretty sure I'm a member in good standing, but you never know with these things... no information except a "can't connect" browser page doesn't explain much.

    But if it is a ban... jeez fine (not that I did anything wrong to my knowledge) but I at least want to take all my stuff down, skins etc.
    If it's a blanket ISP ban... a redirect to a page stating wtf is going on and an email for appeals would be nice.

    Anyway, just wondering what the story is... so can anyone reading this connect?

    I don't think you need to be so formal about it.
    Just choose a pack, make a video reviewing it and upload.

    The nature of the internet is... if you're good recognition will follow.

    Just start doing the videos and if they are quality, you'll get the acknowledgment you so clearly seek.

    not sure if this is caused by Smart Moving or the login is currently buggy for 1.1 minecraft clients. Gonna try playing with a clean jar.

    update: it's fine on a clean jar. then i installed the other standalone package (hh-uh) and the helmet was gone again. something is fishy here.

    I have the exact same bug, using the smart moving modloader package.

    This issue has been happening with a couple of mods, I just read somebody in the zepp mod had the same problem.
    The creator of that mod recommended redownloading modloader... so maybe it's a modloader issue that has now been fixed?

    All I know is it's not an issue exclusive to this mod so it has to be something else the mod users have in common... ie; modloader?
    Anyway, it's probably been fixed now.

    On a side note... How badly would Ropes+ conflict with the Ziplines mod?

    Or is that a dumb question? (as in the two would annihilate each other and create a black hole no rope arrow will pull you out of?)

    The vines with anchors on them should be tree trunks I believe. ;)
