    You're wrong about being able to use a block to send a signal in all directions. You can't send them downward. The only method is to make steps going down. This is not compact at all, since you also need to ensure you can use repeaters.

    Actually, you can make a redstone signal go down without steps. And you don't need repeaters. You do it like this.

    T = Redstone Torch
    R = Redstone Wire
    B = Solid Block
    I = Input
    O = Output

    TBRRRRI
    R
    BT
    R
    TB
    R
    BT
    RRRRRRO

    This works with torches, and therefore needs no repeaters as long as it goes down.

    I agree. Burnouts are becoming annoying and little more than an irritation.

    No. The end is like the final fight of Minecraft, the climax. It's not an adventure world, it's a battle. So no ores.

    Well, I understand what everyone's saying about it being a bug and it makes sense it's being removed, but I still love slab stone. It's a great block. Maybe it could just be an actual block and jeb could assign it a block ID.

    I like basically all of these ideas, except the autumn and blossom forests. The autumn one you are basing on a season, so it doesn't make that much sense. And the blossom forest with no mobs? It's just like a regular forest that you've lit up.

    I also think the savannah biome should have sand in it.

    posted a message on [Idea] New Mob! Creeper Jockey
    I don't support this idea for the following reasons.

    1) It's overpowered. The creeper jockey (the name doesn't make sense either, it sounds like a skeleton riding a creeper) comes up to you and just blows up. Not only has it got enhanced speed from the spider, it can also jump three blocks.

    2) There is no escape. Keep in mind the spider is faster than you, so no quick running away like you do with regular creepers. There are two options:

    - The creeper is actually in the process of exploding, so if you were smart, who would you hit first? That's right, the creeper. However, since the spider is the one walking, the creeper jockey isn't knocked back and explodes anyway.

    - Since you want to avoid the previous mess, this time who do you hit? You hit the spider. Success! The spider is knocked back, taking the creeper with them. You keep this up, all the while thinking how clever you are. Eventually, the spider dies. The creeper is already exploding, so as soon as the spider dies it falls to the ground and blows you to bits.

    posted a message on Tombstones
    Quote from Endosutra

    So yesterday I was thinking it'd be interesting if you could make headstones. How? Not just as a decorative element either, it could serve some in game purpose. What? I'm thinking it'd require 2 blocks of either dirt/gravel or sand following the headstone (space for reviving which I'll explain). What do you mean, following the headstone? Maybe if you somehow could enchant the headstone your next death will make you spawn at your nearest enchanted tombstone (initially suffocating because you're six feet under : P). So why would anyone use that, if they just suffocate as soon as they respawn? And we already have beds for resetting spawn point. When you get out of the ground you're a zombie (until you find a cure), maybe initially weak in sunlight. Umm, no. What is the cure? What if it isn't easy to get? The upside would be you would still have all your gear though. Enchanted tombstones could be hard to destroy but placing a flower on the grave would prevent that player from reviving there. Flowers are really easy to get, what if you just put flowers on all but one of someone's headstones and then stood there with a potion of healing (which is super easy to get) ready to blast them when they respawn again and again and again?

    I'd love to have a graveyard, maybe a certain number of tombstones in a vicinity of x number of blocks would increase the chances of skeletons/zombies spawning, etc. So a homemade mob grinder. This is OP.

    I think this would be alright ONLY as a decoration item, but the purposes you have suggested I don't agree with at all.

    The problem is that it would only work for iron and gold, so if you already had a pickaxe with this you'd be pretty ed if you got another.

    I think this is a decent idea, but if they don't want an in-game item to be used for this then I would be equally happy with the gamerule doMobSpawning (when false) stopping mobs from despawning as well as spawning.
