It was because it's something people have been asking for for a long time. They jokingly included it even though it has issues.
Apparently minecraft as it is can't actually handle colored transparency well. If you play around on the MC 2.0 jar you'll notice that the stained glass has the same weird behavior as Ice, transparent textures behind it turn invisible.
Subjectively, yes. However, we are not here to make comparisons between packs, especially ones with different resolutions. Persisting with this notion is not very forum-rule friendly either.
I'd rather talk about Wayuki's absence. I know she's busy with real life but I hope she can throw us a bone.
Yeah sure, I'll let you guys do the easy fun part, and I'll do the hard long part!
Well, those horse texture templates look intimidating and you are the pro here! It wouldn't be a proper derivation if the textures weren't Levaunted by the master himself!
If you make one base texture for the horses, I'm sure there are several of us who could use it to help make the others and some random mob variations. Just a thought to help out and make it a little less of a load on you. Love the new icons, they look amazing.
I agree. Levaunt's style is unique so a basic template would do wonders for those who could build upon it and make the necessary variations. Then, Levaunt can use the modified textures to make them properly "Levaunted"!
That would cause some tiling errors with the tiles that aren't flipped.
You're quite right and this will be a bone of contention for those with OCD tendencies. I've used it in my personally edited pack and I must be honest and say the tiling anomalies don't bother me that much, but I guess this is dependant on personal taste.
New horse mob complete with saddle and tether (to a fence post). I would love to see what Wayuki comes up with; her previous mob designs have been outstanding.
That actually looks pretty damn good. I'm excited to work on a texture for it!
As for your stitching ideas, that's about what I had in mind. Just hoping I can pull it off in the right way. And pumpkins has faces in them because you can put them on your head.
I do rather like the idea of a rare four leaf clover, so that's going in. I need more ideas for very rare texture occurrences.
Not a grass suggestion per se, but you could use the random feature of ctm and flip the grass texture horizontally to add some random variation to how it is rendered.
As for wool CTM I put together two images to portray two different types of potential edge stitching.
Just food for thought. I was thinking of patterns that would suit a variety of wool block uses. In the diagrams the thread is a darker colour of the cloth, but white or black depending on the colour might be cool too.
These are neat ideas, perhaps a simple corner design would be in order?
Hey Levaunt, that teaser is splendid! A suggestion for you to consider, you could add buttercups and daisies in patches of grass just as you've used the random ctm for the grass variations. Of course, this would have to be a rare occurrence, unobtrusive and only really apparent in select grassy biomes.
The fibrous, stitched nature of the wool is gorgeous and I look forward to seeing how you handle the edges if you ever implement ctm connectivity for it.

The bale of hay is beautiful and quite aesthetic with the style of this pack. The colour may need tweaking but the texture itself is spot on!

Your username says it all...
Stop trolling and add something constructive to the discussion, like textures you'd like Wayuki to concentrate on next.
