Problem, the floodgate gate cant be putted above a ''air block'' like that:
[]
(its on a horizontal view)
being: = floodgate
=floodgate gate
This. I was hoping to make a trapdoor to my basement with this, but when you place it so the gate would appear over air, it doesn't appear. I have placed it with dirt underneath, then removed the dirt, but as soon as the gate "opens", it won't "close" if there is no block below it.
Does the fake bedrock use its own texture or whatever the normal bed rock texture is? I mean, will it match with my texture pack's bedrock or does it have its own?
It's the default bedrock texture your texture pack should work :smile.gif:
Awesome! You may have saved my bedrock-level base.

I can confirm the:
*chest bug (if you try to open a chest from an old save it will crash the game)
I have a room with 8 chests, some open fine but others (the same ones each time) freeze then crash the game when trying to open. I also tried to destroy the chest, the mining animation starts then game freezes and crashes.
I tried a clean install, no mods active.
Definitely a bug.
Wrong. The reason THOSE chests are broken is they contain items that were added by a mod, pre update.
ALL my chests work, EXCEPT the one that has stuff like watermelons and corn inside, since those don't exist in the game. When you tried to break it, it tried dropping an item that doesn't exist, hence the break again.
Hey guys, I really hope this is a simple mod to make, but here it is.
I want to build things at bedrock level, but the way worlds are generated leaves an uneven bedrock layer. Can someone write a mod that makes the bottom layers (up to layer 4 or 5, whatever layer bedrock starts showing up) just solid bedrock? Then when you mine down that deep, you will just find an unending, impenetrable sheet of bedrock?
I don't want a map with the bedrock fixed, I want to generate new worlds, but I want them to have a solid bedrock layer, instead of a "lumpy" bedrock layer, if you get what I mean.
I tried loading this and just ModLoader v5. Punching trees produced no logs.
Great mod though, I'm sure. I anxiously await a compatibility update one day. :smile.gif:
It's been pointed out several times now that you need a hatchet or an axe to chop trees with this mod. It's in the first page, and on a number of other pages as well.
Anyone able to draw a nice looking large fountain? I can't seem to build one I am completely happy with. Please, no videos because my internet sucks out here. Prefer posts like this:
I don't know what this... blueprint style is officially called.
That's great! You just put 1 cobblestone block inside the stained glass.
If you're referring to the cobble inside the left head, it's there on purpose. The left head has its eye removed, symbolically. Blind to the past, always looking to the future, never looking back, etc.
not denying that buildings are rectangular, but i challenge you to find me a respectable building that has all of its walls completely flat.
I had thought about this also. I will have large, fancy stairs outside, with roman/greek style pillars, very high arches over the entrance, stained glass windows and whatnot.
I will probably add columns to each corner to give them some design.
Anyone at all: feel free to suggest things to make it look truly temple-worthy.
I don't know what you mean by a box. I will not be adding the aquila to the other walls. I will be adding pillars reaching to the ceiling with torches, red carpet leading down the center with large vaulted doorways, pews, a dais for oration, etc.
As for the shape of the building, it will probably be rectangular. Most buildings in real life are rectangular anyway.
Hello all, here are a couple screens of a temple I am working on:
Some notes on this first wall:
100 blocks long, 38 blocks high, making it 3800 blocks total. I am tempted to add two more levels so it comes out to a nice, even 4000 blocks.
Built entirely with cobblestone and stained glass. I built it one column at a time, then jumped from the top into a pool of water to start the next column.
I collected and placed every single block myself. I didn't use any map editors or inventory editors, etc. I actually chopped every single block of cobblestone, dug every single block of sand, picked every single flower to make stained glass, and then placed each block, one by one.
After finishing the left wing and head, I decided I didn't like the sand that I had originally used, so I built scaffolding to remove all the sand and replace each block with stained glass, again without any map/inventory editing software.
I'm really worn out from how long this took, but I am pleased with it. The stained glass will allow a good deal of light into the temple, since it'll likely not be well-lit otherwise. I chose yellow so it would still have a "golden" look.
If anyone has suggestions for designing the interior, let me know. I won't be placing another aquila anywhere; the one you see will be just behind the pulpit where oratories would be delivered.

Come on people, this is simple stuff here.

It's just one wall to an eventual temple. I still have no idea what to do with the rest of it.

Indeed it would. Thankfully, the Emperor protects.
So how about those fountains? Anyone have a blueprint for a nice, large, ornate fountain?

The side you see in the pic is the inside of the wall.
