Why would you like to join the server? I've been looking for server similar to mindcrack or forgecraft or a while, and this one is even better than the last one i played on (its been dead for about 9 months) because it's for youtubers
Why should we accept you? I love playing on ftb, and i watch direwolf20/vintage beef ALOT so i know my way around ftb I'm also a youtuber and love the idea of being around/teaming with other people like me sounds like a blast.
What would you bring to the server? Teamwork. Mining skillz. A simplistic way of doing difficult things (sometimes) I like trying to figure out different ways to generate... pretty much anything from EU to MJ to dirt. i'm not nearly as skilled with ftb as some people out there, but i can hold my own.
Who is your favorite Mindcrack or Hermitcraft member and why? In vanilla it would be paulsoaresjr... he is freaking awesome. but in the ftb server i would have to say that it's vintage beef, because his building skillz are awesome. although it's been a while since i've watched something from beef
Any Additional information (optional): my favorite mod in mindcrack is IC2, but overall (since i've been playing a bit of unleashed) my favorite is tinkerers construct.

Why should you get to join this server? I am a HUGE fan of direwolf20, and have always wanted to play with the same pack he uses... but even after weeks of googling about i couldn't find the pack he uses until now. I'm pretty mature for my age (or so I'm told) and love playing on modded minecraft. I'm usually pretty friendly, and I like teaming up with people/helping people out with what i can. I know i'm not 18, but I'll be 16 in march is that helps any.

I'm a very peaceful person by default, and sharing/coop is one of my favorite things to do (especially in ftb). Building a base is something i do more than actual tech, although this used to be the exact opposite when i used to play. I'm not really one for alot of automation, however i do like making an automatic quarry and ore smelting system then stuff it all in an AE system system.

Yes, i bought this system for like 350$, and its a prebuilt. i upgraded the power supply, and the graphics card... i only had 180$ and i had a limited amount of space due to the size of it, so i went with the 640. I stopped using shaders period and i still get 1 FPS. the only difference is, that i get 100+ fps when i pause it (singleplayer) unlike before when using shaders, i even installed optifine to see if it would help with fps. i tried again in windowed mode, to no avail. Originally i wanted to build a pc, but i have 4 other siblings, one of which is two and loves getting into ... i didn't feel safe buying alot of electronics with him in the house .-.
Anyway, i was just wondering if someone else had the same problem as me... i've heard of other people with gtx (insert number here) having problems with high res texture pack after 1.5
Okay, so my specs are as follows (keep in mind, im 15 and have a really low paying part time job - upgrading any time in the next several months is not an option)
Processor: A6 3650 quad core 2.6 GHZ (amd)
graphics card: EVGA GT 640 superclocked 2gb edition (or something to the effect)
8gb of ram, with 2 gb dedicated to minecraft
I can run 128 with 60 fps just fine, even with max settings enabled. I even tried not running the 256 and 512 packs in windowed mode (since i have a 1080p monitor), but there's no fps change. I know my specs aren't BAD (my last computer had a pentium b processor, 4 gb of ram and intel hd graphics, and the one before that had two gb AND was on vista) but i've seen people with even higher specs having trouble with it.any help would the greatly appreciated >.<
NOTE: I use magic launcher, with optifine installed. i also use cel shaders, not sure if that affects it at all.

Me and a friend were playing, what i thought, was legit. He was duping however, and me (being a clueless noob to FTB) accepted the duped gravi armor... we were both banned :L

Well, I've had high-performance on since i got the laptop... but thanks for the suggestion If you could help me with 64 bit java installation, that would be awesome ALSO: my video card only has 32 MB dedicated memory, and 1.6 GB of non-dedicated memory (system ram) Is there some program (besides game booster) that will speed up my system?
Well, i got a new pc as an early Christmas present.
My old one, had 2 GB DDR2 SD ram, and a dedicated card... not a very stong one (nvidia NVS 135m) but a dedicated card all the same.
My new one has an intel pentium b960 CPU with 4GB DDR3 ram, and intel HD graphics. in single player, i get decent FPS... on short +48 render distance, optifine, and fast graphics settings (a couple of tweaked things with optifine) and i get around 30-40 and sometimes even hitting 90 FPS (i get better fps when mining lol)
The thing is, all of that changes in SMP... underground, mining i get 40+ FPS. as soon as i hit the surface, it skydives- Rarely hitting 30 FPS.
Is there a way to remove lag? because i play TF2 on medium-low settings with 40+ fps no problem (unless there's tons of pyros lol, but i rarely lag). I play counter strike source on all high settings, with 100-90 FPS. i play L4D on low-medium settings, with 60 FPS (it will occasionally drop to 30).
Now, I've tried allocating more ram to minecraft... that helped a little bit, but only in single player. I've set the priority to high in task manager: to no avail. It really sucks because I've been wanting to make a video on my favorite server for a long time now, but fraps is FPS hungry (in single player, i drop from 60 to 30 FPS while recording) and. i always drop to 5-10 FPS in multiplayer while recording. is it a CPU issue? i don't have any money (14, no job) plus I'm using an HP laptop.
If ANYONE has a suggestion besides:
allocating more ram
upgrade your pc
set priority in take manager
install optifine
That would be awesome
(I'm also asking this because I'm a mod on this server, and I've been offline for a while. need to help out with the spammers and such)

I've tried and failed... i uninstalled 32 bit before and installed the downloadable 64 bit. i tried to open up minecraft it it wouldnt open T_T
So i am using whatever the auto-installer for chrome installed.
