I'm mostly looking to build a magnificent kingdom (which I could do by myself but that's no fun ) with some wicked cool people. I'd prefer to do this on a factions/pvp server so that the castle within the kingdom would serve as a stronghold and for, you know, fighting off bad guys and making enemies as well as allies and trade partners. I love to build and have built three castles across 2 servers. I've worked on several builds (pictures will be included below), including a Victorian style city and the previously mentioned castles and organized many server-wide events, including treasure hunts and quests (with storylines). I am tolerant and not prone to make judgements of others, however I have no respect for anyone who cheats/hacks. My favourite thing to do ingame is (while being a moderator and using an invisibility command) stalking players suspected of cheating and capturing them in the act of x-raying (following 2x1 tunnels that always lead to diamonds). Overall I'm an honest and friendly person who likes to have fun and observe from afar before making my strike.
Experience:
As I mentioned, I've been a moderator on several servers and I've been an admin on one. Servers have varied on the amount of power given to staff and I have experienced having complete and total command power (including the ability to ban, mute, kick players and more) to having only the basic commands, such as giving newcomers to the server permission to build. In my time moderating I have learned a lot; not particularly from firsthand experience, but from watching how other staff deal with various issues. I have seen abuse of power to the point of total corruption of staff members, resulting in misguided anger and causing players to leave the server. The purpose of serverside staff is to assist the players and to make advancements in the Minecraft world (Mostly in terms of defeating the bosses and completing builds). I am able to do this.
I have also worked with several plugins, including Essentials, WorldGuard, WorldEdit and Permissions. I even ran my own Bukkit server around the time of Beta 1.7.
Builds:
I've made castles, manors, parks, cottages, towns, cities and more. I've worked with themes, including medieval and Asian styled villages. I love patterns, be it symmetrical or asymmetrical and I try for an aesthetic balance in my builds. Pictures are shown below.
