    At least we've narrowed down the problem. Hopefully it can be fixed by either CubeX2 or chicken_bones, depending on where the problem lies!

    Do you know the versions of CCC and NEI that you're using?

    The only difference I can see is that I'm using the latest version of Forge, whilst you're quite a few versions back. Could be that you're using older versions of CCC/NEI also.

    I'm currently using:

    Forge 7.8.0.725
    CS2 0.10.2
    CodeChicken Core 0.8.6.12
    Not Enough Items 1.5.2.22

    Hmm, what version of Forge, CCC and NEI are you using?

    If the recipes aren't showing but you're able to craft them regardless, I'd like to see if I can replicate your instance.

    What is the mod.js and block/item code you're using to test?

    So with NEI present, the recipe didn't show BUT you were able to craft it anyway?

    Yea. Most of my custom recipes use static ID's. Only one of them use ore dictionary entries. I tested it on a clean 1.5.2 instance by trying to add a different recipe for the Diamond Pickaxe (bones instead of diamonds) and it didn't work.

    I thought this as well, but no, it's not that they just don't show the recipe, the recipes themselves when tried don't work either.

    There was a change to the UE API that means that dependant mods can call in the parts of Basic Components without needing the actual Basic Components file to be needed. Which is nice because it means one less mod file to keep updated and all that, but by the looks of it, Power Converters depends on Basic Components bring available in order to make the UE converters available - so because of this, there aren't any UE converters at all.

    I was about to post something similar to this. I've got it working by adding the last 1.5.1 version of Basic Components, but it kind of messes up some of its own and preceding mod content block textures in NEI which, whilst not game-breaking, is a little annoying.

    Possibly switch to detecting Electric Expansion or any UE mod possibly?

    Though I've posted in the CustomStuff 2 thread about my problem, I'm going to put it here too, as I don't know which mod is to blame.

    My problem is that I use CS2 to remove recipes for mod content and replace them with my own. In 1.4.7 this worked perfectly, however in 1.5.2, though the recipe removal works, the custom recipes do not. I've found that without CCC/NEI installed the custom recipes work perfectly, but don't when the two coremods are installed.

    No errors in the log whatsoever either.

    Aha! I've found what the problem is with adding custom recipes! It seems that NEI is the cause. I've tried my custom recipes with CCC/NEI removed and they work, but when they're installed, they don't.

    I've post in the ChickenBones Mod thread about this problem as I don't know which mod is to 'blame'.

    EDIT.

    In 1.4.7, I didn't have this problem. The custom recipes were shown by NEI.

    I figured out why I couldn't place anything but solid blocks on my lamps...I had the material set to glass. Derp. Still trying to get the recipes working though!

    Is it possible to define whether items such as torches, levers, buttons, etc. can be placed on the side of a CS2 block? I've created some simple redstone-activated light blocks (incl. inverted versions....*cough* RedPower *cough*, but I can't seem to be able to place anything other than full solid blocks onto the sides (all 6).

    The latest 1.5.1 version of Basic Components appears to be working perfectly. The only issue is that it seems to bugger up some of it's own block textures and a few preceding ones in NEI. They're fine when viewing recipes/uses and in-world/game.

    I went down a version to 10.1, then again to 10 and didn't work with either of them.

    I'm either doing something incredibly stupid and can't see it, or there's something incredibly wrong with the mod.addRecipe function.

    I've just started fresh and tried adding a simple alternate recipe for the vanilla chest:

    mod.addRecipe("54 1", 3, 3, ":woodLog", ":woodLog", ":woodLog", ":woodLog", 0, ":woodLog", ":woodLog", ":woodLog", ":woodLog");

    This didn't work either.
