Apr 26, 2014A few weeks back, when Update 1 was available to download from Microsoft's servers, I downloaded and installed it. Afterwards Java wouldn't work, at all. I had 8 installed at the time, with 8u5 currently, and couldn't find any information anywhere regarding the problem. I went through the usual guff of completely removing Java, rebooting, doing clean installs, etc. but nothing worked, so I uninstalled the update and it worked again.Posted in: Java Edition Support
Now that Update 1 has been pushed through Windows Update as a required update, this problem has come around again.
The only information available is through the Event Viewer, as the following:
Faulting application name: java.exe, version: 18.104.22.168, time stamp: 0x5328017a

Has anyone else had/having this issue? Any working solutions?

Feb 22, 2014Posted in: Minecraft ModsQuote from _GothmogYou have any KAMI wand components in elsewhere? If yes, load a backup and delete them in build 96 them upgrade to 101. I had 5 different crash messages until I figure out - I can only guess something change in the caps and the core, since the research for both reset in build 97 and up, and if you have any components or the wand itself you can't log in in your world.
Which version of TC4 specifically with TT2.3 96? I'm going through 4.1, all the the way up to 4.1e and it just doesn't start. It crashes mid-load.
Bugger it, I just rolled back to 4.0.5b and did it that way. Works now
Feb 22, 2014Any luck with the following crash? I've seen it mentioned around, but using the latest version of TC4 and TT, it still crashes when looking in your inventory. Funnily enough, I've removed the wand item from the player dat file, and it still crashes.Posted in: Minecraft Mods

I take it that this should not be happening?Posted in: Minecraft Mods

Jan 25, 2014Posted in: Mods DiscussionQuote from lukeb28When did anyone say a mod had to be open source? The argument has been about copyright itself.
This. A lot of this drama appears to be based around this. Where has this been stated by Mojang themselves? It appears to have been 'suggested' by people on Reddit, and just snowballed from there.
I have no idea why so many people are up in arms about the EULA clarifications. It seems to be a non-issue.

Oh, that would be a bit too much of a world, yes Thanks for the ZIP, but I have the feeling my computer can't handle it. Even if I throw 8GB of RAM at it, a bunch of mods still error out when trying to start up the game (server or client). I'll try ripping out mods that shouldn't have any kind of interaction with OC, but it'd be massively helpful if you could do the same to narrow it down a bit.
Sorry for the late response! I've been travelling the length of the country this week, so I've been a little busy.
I found the culprit straight away. It is Waila, if it's present on the server. I removed it and the crash/disconnect didn't occur at all.
Jan 17, 2014Here are our config and mod folders zipped up:Posted in: Minecraft Mods
The only thing I've 'changed' is the removal of dynmap, so that you don't have that throwing its weight around whilst you look at it.
Jan 17, 2014Posted in: Minecraft ModsQuote from SangarSince I can't reproduce it, could you ZIP an (ideally minimal) world where this happens and upload it somewhere? I'd appreciate it if you could include the mods and configs, too - feel free to send me the link via PM in that case. Thanks.
Ah....wellllllllllllllllllllll....our world is about 3.5gb in size. However, I'll test it on a 'fresh' world, and if it still occurs, I'll zip up our mods/configs folders and post the link.
Jan 17, 2014Here's a weird bug, when I look at my basic screen or basic case, the client is kicked from the server (does not occur in SSP. Tested on a vanilla Forge server instance, as well as an MCPC+ server instance), with the following error in the console:Posted in: Minecraft Mods
java.io.IOException: Bad packet id 2 at net.minecraft.network.packet.Packet.func_73272_a(Packet.java:149) at net.minecraft.network.TcpConnection.func_74447_i(TcpConnection.java:325) at net.minecraft.network.TcpConnection.func_74450_c(TcpConnection.java:549) at net.minecraft.network.TcpReaderThread.run(SourceFile:94)
I have the following setup:
RF provided to the Power Converter block, which is placed next to a basic case, which in turn is next to a basic screen.
Inside of the basic case I have a Network Card, Basic Graphics Card, 64k Memory and 1mb Hard Disk Drive.
When turned on, it kicks the player from the game. You can connect and quickly turn away before it kicks you again.
Jan 13, 2014Yea, it occurs in vanilla Forge as well.Posted in: Minecraft Mods

Jan 13, 2014Oh god, I hate reporting a problem without a bug....buuuuuuuuut.Posted in: Minecraft Mods
When trying to use/right-click with the ichorium adorned ichorchoth wrapped silverwood wand with the shadowbeam focus attached, on SMP, it disconnects the client.

This is on an MCPC+ server, so I'll try it on a vanilla Forge server instance.
