Pretty sure Forge for 1.8.7 isn't out yet. I could be wrong, but I believe 1.8 is the latest version to have forge available for it. Downgrade to 1.8 and install forge again, see if that works.
Forge only supports up to 1.8 and no more recent version. If your really interested in mods I recommend downgrading to 1.7.10 as most modders are steering clear from 1.8 due to difficulties, 1.7.10 has many more mods and much more variety. If you don't know how to downgrade your game version open the launcher, click "edit profile" and use the first drop down menu to select another version, and then save. Be sure to download forge 1.7.10 as the 1.8 version won't work in MC 1.7.10.

Hello, everyone. I've been working on the IFP update, been making some progress here and there. It's still not finished. I apologize for giving a sort of release date with the 10 days or less thing; I was excited and thought I'd found the solution to completing the update. But, I've made progress. Not as much as I'd like to, but I'm still working on it. I'm not giving any more release dates, and I don't think Vrackfall is either. But just know that I'm going to continue working on it.
I'm sorry to have disappointed you people. I'll do my best to get this update finished as quick as possible.

For anyone who can't wait for this mod to be updated like me... Well, some news for you.
I am the person who is helping Vrackfall to update the mod. He's really busy right now, so he has left it mostly to me to finish his work. Unfortunately, for the past, say 5 weeks or so, I've been really occupied as well and haven't gotten much done on the mod... until now. The mod is now being worked on by me as I type, if you can believe that. I'd say it's about 90% done. There's around only 13 errors left, and, even better, most of them are caused by the same issue, so I could potentially wipe out 5 errors with one fix. I am VERY happy to announce something, and no, it's not that the mod is finished. It's that the mod is VERY LIKELY to be finished within the next 10 days, perhaps less. That is, if I can keep working on it, which I will do my best to do. Stay patient, my friends. It won't be much longer.
PS: As an added bonus, the mod, after being released, will eventually have compatibility with not only Animated Player, but MorePlayerModels. It will not initially be compatible with animated player; That will be for a later release.

Really now, Noppes? I apologize for just barging in like this, but I have coveted your MPM source code for a small while... I have been unable to find it on the internet though.
You see, I am assisting in updating a mod that has been dead for a while now known as Improved First Person View. However, I think that making that mod compatible with yours would be a worthwhile endeavor... Well, for me, at least. I really appreciate the effort that went into this mod, and I also enjoy using the mod I am helping update. Well, I used to enjoy using it back in 1.6.4 XD
So, with that in mind, would it be alright if I took a look at your source code for MPM? If I actually manage to make something useful out of it that other people want, I assure you I won't release or share it without your permission.

Hey Vrackfall, I managed to stomp all of the errors that needed to be stomped. Actually, that's not quite true, I had to comment out a bit of stuff because I couldn't fix it right away. But, most of the errors are fixed anyway. Despite this, the body does not render in first person. Although everything else seems to work. For example, the wobble-HUD, and the leaning when you look down.
Any idea why this is? I know you ran into the same problem a while ago, where the hud worked but the body didn't actually render. I'll keep working on it, but, in the meantime... any ideas? I'm thinking I might have to use the override annotation somewhere, not sure where though.
One more thing. I'm thinking the Animated Player compatibility for this mod should be dropped. It's your choice of course, but it appears that the AP mod is dead. Although there is a 1.7.10 version, it's very buggy for most people and I can't get it to work at all. Unless you want to update that too, I think we should just kill off Animated Player compatibility.
Once we're able to get the body to render, this should be good enough for a beta release. Like I said, I commented out some stuff, but nothing important to the core function of the mod. Just the left-hand bow feature and also the arrows being rendered on the body.
Let me know what your thoughts are on all this, Vrackfall.

I'm in the process. I think I'll be able to fix them all, already crushed about half. Don't know when, I'll send you a message when I do.

Okay, I'll see what I can do with it. I have a lot more free time on my hands so I should be able to finish it pretty quickly.

Woah, this isn't dead? I remember SonicJumper gave it to some other dudes who didn't seem to update it very often... Glad to see it back, good work.
