That's not true. The ASUS G53 laptops have a GTX560m, which can perform pretty well with games. You can go even higher with cards such as the 570m, 580m and the 6990m. I've heard of the 6990m playing BF3 on ultra graphics, which for me classifies as "gaming."
Besides, saying "gaming laptops don't exist" doesn't say anything at all. Some people need laptops for portability, you can't carry around a full tower rig with you on a train ride. It's recommended to get a desktop, but laptops are capable or running games on low/mid settings, depending on what you buy.
Yeah, there are some that can play games, IF they are plugged-in and charging... Most of these "gaming laptops" 1 hour of charge while playing games, this is NOT portable and it defeats its purpose of existing.
there not. there just focusing more on there mobile APU's. (the fusion platform) then there high end things like the phenom and opterons.
If they are still staying in the Desktop CPU market, then it would be even more reason to stay away from AMD, since they will not be focusing on Desktop CPUs. But, from what I can tell they are REALLY trying to get out of the market and cut their loses.
Hell to the yes.
I have always wanted a wind waker texture pack since i got minecraft.
this wonderful texture pack brings up memories of me playing the good old gamecube when i was younger.
THANK YOU
I meant compared to other computers of the same price and how it would handle new programs, not if it would just be able to run.
The point is you do not need a new computer every year. Eventually it will get to the point where it will be cheaper to get a new computer all-together, but as long as you maintain it and update it there will be no point in building a COMPLETELY new computer for some time.
Not really, a computer of any price and spec looses lots of usability and price/performance ratio every year, not just the top of the line models.
If you put money, time, and effort it will be a good solid 5 YEARS before it will need to be replace. This is not including upgrades..... I just gave my friend my Core 2 Quad computer with a 6870, 4 GB RAM (DDR2), and it still runs like a charm...
Socket? Amd. Budget? Not too much. Other computer specs? Nah
Firstly, Do not get AMD the Intel i5 2500k is the best processor out right now... but if you MUST get AMD then stay WELL away from AM3+ (bulldozer)... Secondly just saying AMD for the socket is not enough at all...
that...would not work. windows is very aggressive when it comes to detecting piracy or w.e.
any given windows serial number can only be used w/ the motherboard it was originally paired to.
Then don't buy windows.... There are alternatives that are Link Removed, you could also pirate Windows and crack it easily (though I won't tell you how to do this).
If my dad let's me buy the parts. He, my mom, and my older brother are all getting Macs, but I want to stick with Windows to play games :tongue.gif: If I don't get to build one, I'll try find a decent game one.
You could always dual-boot with Windows and OS X Lion (hackintoshing)... There are PLENTY of guides on how to do this, but you will have to pay attention to the parts you want and what will work with OS X.
How can you suggest building your own computer and getting an Alienware, In the same sentence?!
How could you suggest Alienware at all? They have the thickest, heaviest, laptop with a battery life of an hour... Their desktops are overpriced, over rated, and my $800 custom built computer can beat its $1600 Alienware counterpart.
Just build your own, and do not get a "gaming laptop" of any kind... There are plenty of How-To videos on how to build your own computer.
(grabbed it off of google image search) it's identical, they both just drop in and the heatsink clips on, amd uses a hook and lever system while intel you push 4 pegs in
AMD

Who the hell buys Windows? Get a free operating system (ie: Ubuntu), or just pirate Windows...

Minecraft4Kids was made AFTER The Wind Waker Texture Pack...
