IF you go in the large structure. there will be signs showing you where the pillar to enter survival is at. It should be on the mainfloor. all you need to do is walk up to it.
^ This. But if you're lost from going to the Nether on Survival, then you should type '/mv tp "World 9"' (with the " but NOT ')
If this does not work, try '/mv spawn' and then go into the large structure, and then look for a large pillar and walk up to it. Signs will guide the way.
If none of these work, then wait for an Admin to hop on, and I (or someone else) will be glad to assist you!
If your items for some reason are lost in Survival, an Admin will be glad to give your stuff back (and often with a premium). I'll try and work on making it easier for players to go back to survival once they are though in the Nether. The reason why it is like this is to "force" players to try out and see what creative is like.
We're hoping to install NoLagg when Bukkit releases a Recommended Build. The Showcase shops were causing some lag issues when people sold items in bulk, and has since been removed. But so far, players report NO issues with lag at all. I've updated the main post with a bit more information. I really hope that I'll be seeing some more players on here soon!
This is our small 24 player bukkit server. We hope to grow a little more with each passing day!

You should check out:
Godsmack
System of a Down
Serj Tankian(he quit the band and started making some new albums)
If you like Industrial Metal, check out Marilyn Manson. His songs are sort of anti-fundamentalist christian, so if you are one I suggest not listening to him or you may become offended.
I have no idea what to suggest for the other music, though.
I do love System of a Down, they're one of my favorites. As for being anti-fundamentalist christian, it shouldn't be a problem...
Mumford & Sons
Cage the Elephant
Two Steps from Hell
Jonathan Coulton (You've already listened to his music before in Portal 2s ending song)
Johnny Cash
Lansdowne
Shinedown
Interesting, I'll definitely look some of these artists up.
Lately I've been into Snow Patrol, but that might be a bit too soft for your taste.
Maybe you could try:
- Disturbed
- Breaking Benjamin
- 12 Stones
- ...
I'll give a listen to anything, really. I like a whole lot of music.
Laptops are of course another story, but with laptops, the primary concern is mobility- everything else ought to be secondary. As far as I'm concerned, a "gaming laptop" is an oxymoron, and in the best case what you end up with is a laptop that has no mobility because it has a dedicated graphics chip and all sorts of other fancy **** that drains the battery in less than an hour. For example, most laptops come with a touchpad, how the **** are you supposed to play FPS games with that? you aren't, instead you usually need a USB mouse- IE more power drain. The entire thing is just so ludicrous; what do people expect to be able to do with a gaming laptop? They probably have visions of playing Gears of War or Battlefield or Call of Duty or whatever **** is popular these days while waiting in an airport, but the problem is, you'll be spending most of your time looking for a place to plug in your AC adapter because your new 2-3 grand laptop has such a dismal battery life. What you end up doing with your super gaming laptop in most cases is just playing it at home, so why the **** do you need a laptop for that?
Yes, it's nice that you can move your laptop from your bedroom to your living room, and I'm sure people are excited by the prospect of killing noobs while taking a dump, but I just can't see how that is worth the 2 grand extra that you pay on top of a equally powerful self-built desktop.
Now, there is of course a single reason for somebody to buy such a high-powered laptop, and really that is what Raivotar somewhat touched on; this is when the primary concern is that it is powerful enough for their needs (as opposed to their wants). Not games or gaming, but things like say *shudder* Photoshop, for Graphics artists, AutoCad, TOAD/SQL Server for Database administration, etc. But the needs of that sort of software is far below the specifications of high-powered laptops, and presumably, people trying to get work done will probably need more than an hour or so of battery life, and would generally go for something sold on the business line of a manufacturer rather than something with alien decals all over it. Several of my acquaintances with such requirements speak highly of the Toshiba Qosmio line of laptops. It seems that in the past Toshiba had similar issues whereby their battery life was in the 1 hour range, but according to reviews of the latest models it seems they have resolved that. Personally, I just have a Satellite L300 which pretty much just serves as a backup to my desktop, and whose mobility I seldom take advantage of.
Well personally I just need the "mobility" of a laptop, with the power (sort of) of a desktop. Let me put it to you this way: Would you rather lug around a big bulky setup around for a LAN party (very often my case) or a powerful laptop that you can just plug in and go with? I do see the point of people simply wanting to be more mobile, or on-the-go. Primary reason why I'm getting a new laptop instead of a desktop. Plus, I can simply "dock" it to my big monitor and keyboard, ports, etc. Also, its not like I have to be playing games on it all the time, and a lot of laptops have switchable graphics so that they don't drain power. The AC adapter shouldn't be that much of a problem, I mean, when can't you find a plug? I mean nowadays, I can go to a cafe and simply plug-in my laptop, no big deal. A lot of people plug it in anyway.
Hello. I am looking for a good server for me and my cousin. We are both 13 and very mature. Our IGNs are spot998 and ghost29. We don't grief and we are both semi-good builders.
I want to find a server, that has just started. I would like to be Mod or Op. Whatever as long as i respect my powers. and i can be trusted. Can anyone give me a server? Also Im very good with redstone & Pistons.
We're just starting up here! But we need help deciding what to make exactly. If you show to be a good player for at least a week, or you contribute or have a couple of references, then I'll make you Mod.
Hello, me and a dear friend are currently looking for a long term survival server, that is anit-grief and not to over stuffed with plugins.
We are both very good builders and we dont step on anyone's toes.
We are looking for a server with stuff like /sethome, /lwc (/cprivate) and pretty basic stuff like that. Also no pvp or contained PvP would be a big plus.
Access to the Nether & aggressive mobs being able to spawn is needed. We love to hunt.
PLEASE NO LARGE SERVERS, small communites like under 15-20 players.
thankyou, hope to find a sweet server we can call home.
We're just starting out here... So the server isn't up yet, and I'm planning on bringing it up next week. I plan to have it at around 24 slots.
I like the server I go to now but I want to try out new places now maybe at some point do some custom games. If anyone has a server with a small NON greifing community I would love to join.
I think it should be a hybrid but the problem with that is it cause HUGE lag. so if they server if only 24 slots then I'd say just one (survival but I like both). I can also help with any plugins like permissions, command book or anti x-ray.
It probably could work out as hybrid, but that's why I would like to test out the idea and see if it work or not. Another idea was to have it start out as creative and then gradually go into Survival. Like, build a town, and then go from there. I will definitely ask for people for help, but more so if it is going to be creative or hybrid. I have tested out a lot of plugins already (permissions and essentials, and a lot of countless others).
i need a server can you make survial island with me will you record please i want to do it with someone!!!!!! :mellow.gif: :mellow.gif: :dry.gif: :dry.gif:
I'm sorry, but this is going to be a permanent, public server for 24 people, not just 1 or 2 people. It's pretty easy to setup and do yourself over Hamachi, or even yourself.

Hey, we're just starting up here, so we need some help on deciding on whether to do a Survival or Creative server: http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/574424-starting-up-a-new-server-what-kind/
I'll let you know if it becomes a survival server!
Go to the link for more info, or reply here or PM if you have questions or concerns!

Our server is coming soon, but we haven't really decided what kind yet. Modest size of 24 slots. Vote here, and look for more info: http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/574424-starting-up-a-new-server-what-kind/
The winning (or highest) vote decides what kind of server we're hosting.
Thanks for your time!
