Possibly. I haven't been able to play myself, but the guy I was watching seemed to find quite a bit of iron, and he was just in a small cave on the surface, not to mention all the coal he got as well.

now all you see are these stupid contests and minecon stuff, im over it bring back digital diamonds and minecraft updates i would actually go on the minecraft forums everyday to check out whats new, now i only do it once a week and the minecon and contests still havnt ended its driving me crazy
