That is my impression as well - for example, while doing away with block and item id's is good for the user it has made my life a lot harder. I will need to rewrite several things from the ground up to work with the new system. Don't get me wrong - it is a good change, just a painful one.
Forge has not made my life simple either - by forcing a new dev environment and build system on us I've had to completely change the way I work. I keep being told it is way better than the old system, but the only win I see so far is the 4 seconds it saves me having to manually change the version number in the mcmod.info file. Yay.

Survival Wings
This mod adds craftable wings that let you fly in survival mode. They are equipped in the chest equipment slot, but offer very little protection. They also degrade the more you fly.

Fixed a bug with SpaceCore crashing when selected on the mods menu (and also crashing LunatriusCore on the mods option screen).
Probably not, but there's probably a way to do it with MineTweaker. At some point I'm going to look into that and post some information on how.
Uh... It must be broken. I'm hoping to start updating my mods again soon (once I get my new site done, probably), so I'll try to remember and look into it then.

SpaceCore 0.7.14 (fixed "Format error: ..." stuff) and Useful Pets 1.2.6 (see bottom quote/reply).
I don't think I'm going to add more pet types, at least anytime soon.
Pets not dying is intentional, unless I'm misunderstanding you. The void doesn't even work; they just float there.
As for the attacking shenanigans... that's very bizarre. I don't know why they would be attacking when they aren't involved at all, but I added a safeguard to make sure they at least won't attack their owners.
I also made them forget their target when they are told to sit. That at least should help, until I can find a more definitive cause.
I don't know of any direct incompatibilities, at least at the moment.

For SpaceCore I did some re-arranging of stuff, so all the mods need updating.
In addition, Useful Pets also has the crashing bug fixed.
Component Equipment has been updated to 1.7.10 now. This is (mostly) just a port, no new content yet. Armor has been changed (and isn't backwards compatible), now it uses one material per armor piece. You can only get vanilla armors at the moment, as I'm going to be changing the crafting again soon. The current one is just temporary, as the documentation says.
I also haven't tested any of the "addon" content (Thermal Expansion, Thaumcraft, etc.)... I hope it works.

I'm not sure if you mean prevent modded potions or allow Enviromine water (which aren't potions, or they would work too). Either way, no, it is not possible.

To stay modding, I need to get out of the "updating" phase quicker. Which means reducing how many I update.

I going to go ahead and restructure the mods submenu on my site to reflect this, and hopefully within the next day or two begin updating the last few. Component Equipment is going to be receiving some changes before it gets released though, because the current armor system is silly and somewhat broken.

I'm not really sure what the issue is. Do you have any other mods that change the behavior of glass? Pane in the Glass might mess it up, but I've never tried it personally.
