    CONFLICT @ -204 item slot already occupied by dd@11a64af3 while adding ItemMobSpawner@3c82a092Looks like NEI still causes item conflict on ID -204 when running it on a vanilla 1.2.5 Forge server, just as it did with the previous version. I don't know what it does to the ItemMobSpawner, but I just avoid using NEI on my server. I don't see a reason to run it on the server. It works fine on the client side when you just install it there and not on your server. Am I missing something here? I did leave the CodeChickenCore mod in my server mods, not sure if I need to.


    Edit: Hmm, I'm getting an error client-side whenever I try to connect to my server now. I put both CCC & NEI for server back into the server mods folder and tried again but get the same error. Maybe it's because I never recreated my minecraft.jar, so I have older CCC in there and new CCC in my mods folder. Here's the error I get:

    Update again:
    Yep, my problem was leaving CCC v0.5.3 files in my minecraft.jar. I deleted the files out of there and can connect to my server with no problems. I'm still curious what the item ID conflict -204 causes. For now, I just took NEI mod out of my server since I don't need to control anything about NEI on my server.

    Pretty sure that none of the texture packs work with RailCraft 5.4.X because the textures were split from one file named railcraft.png into two files named railcraft.png (which is missing all the track pieces) and tracks.png. The texture packs all work for v5.3 and older because it had just the one railcraft.png which included all the pieces. I think I'll just use RC5.3.3 so my pretty textures are still there. Maybe someone will update the Sphax texture pack for RC 5.4 someday.

    Thanks for the insight. I changed to older version 3.6.2 beta on my server and fixed the 2 item ID conflicts it had with BuildCraft by editing buildcraft.cfg. I'll just have to settle for this version for now. I'm guessing there will be some major changes with mods when MC 1.3 hits.

    I've been hunting for any info regarding setting the order in which mods load when launching my server, but I haven't found anything AT ALL. Basically, I want to run Mo' Creatures but it has item ID conflicts with BC, IC2, & ExtraBiomesXL that can't be resolved. I want Mo' Creatures to load last so the other 3 mods load successfully and anything that breaks due to the conflicts will only be broken in Mo' Creatures. I know the conflicts cause breakage because one conflict is with ExtraBiomes "Cat Tail" sprite. When you attempt to add the item to inventory, it says the item cannot be found. I'm sure the other conflicts break stuff in BC & IC2 that will give me headaches at some point.

    I know MagicLauncher can set the order for MC client, but there doesn't appear to be anything similar for MC server. I have been hunting for this for a few days now and have come up empty, so I'm posting here in hopes that someone knows. I have only been playing Minecraft for a week now, so I'm still new to the scene.

    Oh, by the way, I'm only using Forge for a mod loader.

    I did the same thing but haven't tested it out yet. Too many mods with copper included, haha. Luckily, Forestry and IC2 (or is it buildcraft?) can share copper ore according to what I read on the Forestry mod page. I set Forestry to not spawn copper and tin. I'm wondering if this mod will eventually do the same thing and allow copper ore to be shared between mods, especially ones that are much more popular (see: IC2/BC & Forestry).

    I really love this mod. Unfortunately, I can't use it on my server because it has item ID conflicts with BuildCraft, IndustrialCraft, and ExtraBiomesXL. 15 conflicts in all, none of which I can resolve since they are item ID's. Guess I'll have to start up a second server on another port for this mod until the Doc decides to change the item ID's. I thought Forge was supposed to help with conflicts like this. By the way, I tried playing even with the conflicts and the items that have conflicts don't work. For instance, extrabiomesXL CatTail gives an error when you try to add it to inventory. The tile for it appears fine in NEI, naturally, but it can't spawn the item because of the conflicting ID's. Seems like there are item ID ranges that Mo' Creatures could use that don't conflict with 3 of the most popular mods ever. Isn't the item ID range limitless with Forge anyway? Maybe there could be another version of Mo' Creatures with item ID's in the 200,000 range or something, haha.

    Thanks for the heads-up. I should have specified that I was only going to do this for myself. I would never reshare someone else's work after messing with it, especially something artistic like textures.

    One thing you might want to update in your post is the server commands for MobSpawnControl. The leading forward-slash should not be included in the command. For example, it's just msc save.

    We don't really need all the recipes posted here since most people run either NotEnoughItems or RecipeBook and can just click on the items to see how to make them.

    Thanks a ton for making SDK stuff work in Forge. I wanted to get some guns on my server but haven't found any that worked until this one. At first, I had issues where the bullets weren't damaging anything. But after I reloaded my server and client, they worked. This is gonna be fun multiplayer!

    Oh also, I'm going to convert some of the textures from HD SDK texture packs over to this. That should help the 16x16 ugliness.

    Couldn't use this mod on my server. It just had too many item ID conflicts. Really low ID's, like in the 70's, which seems odd to me like those ID's would already be used in plain vanilla minecraft. However, I don't know much about item ID's yet, still learning. I know that they can't be changed, unlike block ID's. :(

    I would love to use this mod on my server. Unfortunately, it conflicts with unchangeable item IDs from 3 other mods (and I only have like 10 mods total). Those 3 mods are: BuildCraft, IndustrialCraft, and ExtraBiomesXL. 15 item ID conflicts in all. They are in the 3800 range. Does anyone know of a way to resolve item ID conflicts? I've resolved block ID conflicts before, which is easy when they give you a config file, but I am learning that there is no way to change item IDs, at least not for these mods.

    IndustrialCraft and MoCreatures have 2 conflicts (item slots 3836 & 3835) that cannot be changed in the IC2.cfg file.
    BuildCraft and MoCreatures have 10 conflicts that can't be changed in the buildcraft.cfg file.
    ExtraBiomesXL and MoCreatures have 3 conflicts that can't be changed in the extrabiomes.cfg file.

    I thought maybe the conflicts wouldn't cause problems, but I tested one from ExtraBiomes that mentions (CatTail) by attempting to place a CatTail sprite. It errors with "Item not found".

    I guess I don't get to have Mo' Creatures on my server :( I'll go hunt around the thread for Mo'Creatures and see about changing those item ID's.

    Haha, so true. You listed the 3 best anti-virus apps for Windows. Norton is still a bloated resource hog with an outdated business model. I think every time I've helped a friend with their computer because it's "running slowly", Norton is mostly to blame (having 20 toolbars and add-ons for Internet Explorer doesn't help either).
