    I have a burning desire to play the Twilight Forest as I never really completed that. So I am poking at that 1.7.10 back port I promised myself to do. Working in 1.7.10 I'm remembering just how much easier it was to mod for that than 1.8 and beyond crap they did to Minecraft.

    Good news: Twilight Forest updated to 1.12.2! The Final Castle still isn't done yet, but it works pretty well.

    Haha! Wow, okay. This actually made me laugh for real, and that doesn't happen often online. It's just like the actual Absol in the games! So cool, but so...not great. Part of me hopes that you leave it as is, but at the same time it's probably better to buff it somehow

    Hm...I've always seen Absol as a great Swords Dance user...Maybe make Absol get a temporary strength/speed boost that stacks after every mob it kills? This would make Absol a better melee pet against large groups of mobs, simulating the turns it takes to set up Swords Dance, while the Eeveelutions would be better one-on-one...I think. I'm probably forgetting something.

    Wow, next update's looking great! And not just "look" in the animation sense, but the animations are amazing anyway, and I'll stop now.

    I'm super excited to actually have an Absol in MC, though. He was always one of my favorites...Not that that's an exceptionally unique opinion, but still.

    Hmm! I don't think I have ever encountered an Endermite nor know much about it.

    It's a little purple thing that might spawn when you use an Enderpearl. Enderman try to kill it. It doesn't do much else, you're not really missing out.

    Maybe as a compensation between these two differing requests for The End, would making mod End mobs only spawn on Endstone or other End materials still break or make impossible such a farm?

    This would probably be the best of two worlds. People who want a challenging End get it, and people who want to build farms never use End Stone in them anyway...I hope.

    This is a long ways off for an End mob but something for me to think about if I have a spontaneous inspiration to make one. The other consideration I'd try and make for an End mob is cancel their spawns if the Enderdragon is active. I've never fought the Enderdragon (ever in all my years of playing Minecraft) but I have an idea of what happens. Would not want to make it harder than it already would be.

    Yeah, there's no way you can shoot all the things and climb up the other things and bottle up the armor-piecing things while being knocked all over the place by your style of quick mobs with statuses.

    ...Could you imagine if the two Clay mobs could spawn while fighting the Dragon? I think I might have nightmares.

    Anyway, suggestion: What if you set the name of a Tameable to it's default, the nametag wouldn't show? Or maybe there could be some button for turning the tag on or off. I imagine that some players wouldn't want to name their tameables, so it's be a nice feature in case of accidental key-presses.

    And End mob might be something to add eventually anyways. I don't quite understand why a person would farm Endermen in The End to begin with.

    The reasons people make Enderman farms are because they're really easy to set up now with Endermites, they provide an overload of Ender Pearls for faster transport, and they can give enough XP to put almost any other farm to shame. They're pretty neat.

    The Bandersnatch Fennekin can spawn in the End, and completely breaks Enderman farms. Is this intentional? The page doesn't even mention it can spawn there.

    How do I get to the double chest that's across the lava lake in Mt. Emberance? (which is beautiful btw) or is that something I get after both areas are done?

    You need to buy the suit of Lavaglider(i think) Armor from the shop. Then get a running start and hope you did it right.

    posted a message on Survive The Burning Tower Version 1.0 - Because bandwagons are fun!

    ~~~PREFACE/NEWS~~~
    Hey, Minecraftians! I got bored. And a fad was around. So why not try it out? This map is NOT just a 20 minute slapped-together project to get attention, this is something that I actually put 20 hours into because I had fun making it, and I believe it to be fun to play...Even though it'll just get smothered in the sea of bleugh that comes with any trend like this. Regardless, I hope that at least one person enjoys this!
    ~~~FEATURES~~~

    Obviously, a burning tower

    A very fancy burning tower

    A fire

    Lava geysers

    A bunch of Command Blocks

    20 hours of my life

    ~~~SCREENSHOTS~~~
    ~~~VIDEOS~~~

    ~~~DOWNLOAD~~~
    Current Version: 1.0
    Click here to download!
    Well, I guess I should have an installation guide...Even though everyone should know this by now.
    1. Download the zipped file.
    2. Open the zipped file.
    3. Copy the unzipped file.
    4. Go to the search bar/start menu and search %AppData%.
    5. Click Roaming.
    6. Click .minecraft.
    7. Open saves.
    8. Paste unzipped file.
    9. There is no step 9.
    Feedback is REALLY appreciated! If no one tells me about that bug, no one's gonna fix it.
    If you have fun with this, why not try out my other maps? I put more effort into them, and believe them to be of much higher quality.
    Just Another Boss Fight
    Trust me, it isn't. It's not against a still wall, there's actually a crazy thing chasing you everywhere while you do things. And it's pretty tough.
    Custom Mob Arena
    This one's a longer map served in small portions. If you like the 1.8 combat system, this would be the perfect map to give those mechanics one last hurrah before saying goodbye.
    Puzzle Progress!
    I just realized that I was doing something wrong. Over the past couple days, I've been trading and farming with the Villagers and scanning through the Forts for clues. As it turns out, I think that was a waste of time. Why do I think that? I asked myself one question: "If I was the mapmaker, how would I set up the final puzzle?"
    The first thing that comes to mind is to make all previous puzzles required. That's super easy to do with a setblock toggle, but that method is unfair to the player, seeing as they aren't notified. To make it fair, you'd have to get something from each previous puzzle to use in the final one. If I apply that to this map, it means that all the clues I need should be within the barriers. And the only things there are the symbols and the chandeliers. I see no way to put the symbols on the roof, but the chandeliers have potential. And they're not even chandeliers, they're floating...Things. And they're all 5 blocks tall.
    Unfortunately, the air spaces under each roof pillar are only 3 blocks, so I can't just put them there. However, I feel I'm on to something here for once. Rather than asking "Is this going to work?," I'm asking "How do I make this work?"
    Anyway, even if I figure it out in the next five minutes, I'm not going to solve it until the person I'm playing with is available for Minecrafting, and they won't be until either Saturday evening or Monday morning, depending on how luck works.
    Again, no hints please...To be honest, the first time I said that, I thought I would give it a shot and then cave only a couple tries later and get help. But I feel like I might not need hints here. I feel like there's just one last little detail I need, and then I'll have it...Or I could be on completely the wrong track.
    It was bad, but maybe not as bad as you'd expect it to be. I've already gotten all of the diamond things they could sell, and the Armoror, Cleric, Librarian, and Farmer all lived...They're not the only ones left, but they're the most important. Bonus points for the fact that the Iron Golem was naturally spawned, so I didn't technically lose any iron when he died.
    I think I'm probably just going to tear down the compact 120 doors thing and actually build a normal village now, since I can't really think of any other villagers that I'd need to have spawn at this point. Y'know, since that repair thingy exists. If I ever need to repair something, I can just poke some pigs in my suffocation trap.
    R.I.P. Bob. :(
    Apparently when fighting Pigmen, not only can zombies spawn right next to you, but they can also spawn 50(rough estimation) blocks away, on bedrock, and in the middle of a hand-made village, and then proceed to wipe out almost all of the villagers that are in it, despite having an Iron Golem on guard.
    Wonderful.
    I have one question, sm644me. Which version of the map are you playing?
    Uhm...1.3.3 I think? When downloading, I clicked on the 1.3.3 button, the file I got says 1.3.2, and the in-game name of the world(not the file, the name that changes when you click the rename button) says 1.3.1. Kind of confusing, but I'm pretty sure I got 1.3.3.
    Haha, I was waiting for it! :D Good job escaping nonetheless and nothing prevents you from using that portal again. :)
    Did you enjoy the escaping music? :P
    I figured as much, but I REALLY don't want to have to walk ten thousand blocks to get back to the Overworld portal again. I think all the hints I need are in the Nether. Anyway, I'm pretty sure everyone likes Wait. :D
    Your artificial nether village sounds amazing, looking forward to seeing those screenshots!
    Right now it's just using that door trick to keep it compact, but once I get enough villagers I'll probably make normal houses. Still haven't gotten any farmers yet...
    However, not certain why you were excited to get more dirt.
    Mostly because it just takes so long to get enough dirt via tilling. If you only have a few blocks of dirt, it takes quite a while to get up to a full stack. The other reason is that one time I was just running along some gravel and picked a red mushroom. I thought it was safe gravel, but a huge portion caved in and I almost died. I don't really trust gravel any more...
    Anyway, here's a bit of puzzle progress:
    I've figured out that each fort has a mob statue in it.
    Fort #1 is actually a Magma Cube.
    Fort #2 is a Ghast, just like the symbol was.
    Fort #3 is obviously a Skeleton.
    Fort #4 is apparently a Blaze. I didn't actually notice that one until you pointed it out.
    I'm assuming that the rooftop puzzle has something to do with these mobs. I tried dropping each of their respective items in each pillar thing, but no dice. I first thought that maybe I got a couple drops wrong, but then saw another little detail.
    There are three redstone lamps in each corner of the central...Thing. I'm guessing that those might turn on if I get even one corner right. This may be wrong though, so I'll still think in terms of all four forts.
    I'll keep trading, farming, and thinking about those mobs, but if that doesn't give me a result by tomorrow, I'll go back to combing the fortresses.
    PS: Still not asking for hints.
