Advanced Machines v3.7 can be found at

    http://forum.industrial-craft.net/index.php?page=Thread&threadID=4907

With regards to new maps, they will all be released over the next few weeks. I am just waiting for certain mods to be updated to 1.2 so I can get to work on bringing all the maps up to date.

    Tythetoon, what are you missing?

Hey all, I understand some of you are having trouble installing these mods. With regards to the current version there is not a lot I can do. However I am trying to simplify the process considerably for the new versions. There certainly wont be a full mod pack for this map (at least until mojang remove the need to mess with the JAR file anyways. But we might get part of the way there.

Until then I can only ask that you bare with me, I would love to be working on the map right now, but until at least RP2 is released for 1.2 there isnt much I can do. There is also going to be a fair amount of balance changes to take account of the new changes in game and with some of the mods. I know this doesnt help a lot of you, but i would rather not have a repeat performance of the 1st public release.

Yeah. If I felt I could, I would actually remove the 1.1 version now. The new versions are going to be far superior to the current 1.1. The reward system is going to be intergrated into the new SSP maps. I am thinking of adding in an automated extra life system (at least for SMP). The pre loaded Transmute Tablet was always a terrible band aid fix to the problem of getting items like copper and tin into the map, so thats going to be history.

Also the actual mod makers all seem to enjoy the map and their support and ideas for future versions has been invaluable. I know I got off to a shaky start with all this. But I am hoping that the 1.2 versions will be worth the wait, in the meantime be sure to checkout both Direwolf20 and Nearbygamer on youtube as they go through the 1v1 version.

Thanks, for future versions I am working on a way to make installation MUCH easier.

Also if anyone is even remotely interested. I am hoping to stream a bit whilst doing the map myself over the next few days, as well as my own 1v1 against Tahg from the bukkit team. You can find the stream over at twitchtv/slowpoke101.

Very awesome map slowpoke:) Really creative, just one problem though.
Under the list of required mods, it says that it requires Buildcraft 3x AND Forestry 1.2.6.6...
Forestry 1.2.6.6 is not compatible with Buildcraft 3.x.x
..Just figured you would want to update this for all the other people that want to use the map:)

[EDIT] Another thing, although I know it is not your responsibility to tell us this, but the EnderChests mod requires CodeChickenCore, so it should be part of the things that go in the minecraft.jar ...just another thing to make you aware of :)

Nice pickup, updating the original thread now and also including a link to the correct download.

Zuzyk if you just copy over a fresh copy of that file replacing the one you have now, you will get all the original items still. you will just have to relearn anything new that you added yourself.

Chuck, atm the SMP version hasnt been released to the public. That will probably happen in 1.2 unless there is demand for the current 1v1 map to be released. The main problem is I dont have time to offer a lot of tech support on the map.

eberhart what version of portal gun are you using and what error are you getting (remember with portal gun you dont put the rar into the mods folder, you have to actually extract it first.) you need 1.1v5 btw.

    answer to Zuzyk

Zuzyk, do yu have a transmute tablet, if so does it appear to be pre loaded with items? if not in the save file for the map is a data folder. in there is a small file, you need to change this so instead of username it has your login name for MC. if you have done all that and you tablet does appear to be working, you should find a rubber tree sapling at 32 EMC.

    as per the included readme

Copy Feed_The_Beast_Final into your saves folder.

Finally you will need to go into the saves/Feed_The_Beast_Final/data folder. In here rename the file, replacing username with your minecraft username.

You are now ready to face the beast

In this version, the iron is included as an item in the transmute tablet, you just need to generate enough EMC for it to show up. (try some bones or other high value mob drops.

Sorry for the delay on the reply Epicminer, can you just double check and confirm that you are using the right versions of Advanced machines and Compact solars for me. If you check the readme that came with the download you will find the links. To confirm though, you need versions.

    Advanced Machines v3.7
    Compact Solars v1.2

OK sorry, if you re-download the pack now, you should find the full set of configs inside. TBH I only realised this evening they were not complete. Most of my time over the last week was spent getting the 1v1 map ready and working on the new versions for 1.2.

The original 1.1 map is a little bit crude in comparison to the 1v1 map, a lot of new ideas were brought in for this map and will carry on through to the new versions which I hope will be out soon after the main mods are released.

Again sorry for the issues, hopefully the future maps will be of a much higher quality on release.
