Let me know iCanon. Sounds like a good place. Thanks
EmoEmu - Hardcore Survival doesn't sound like much fun for me. I think I must have died 5-6 times yesterday in single player. I don't think HS is right for me :tongue.gif:
Looking for a server that has some room for a player. I've admin'd several servers in the past (not looking to admin, just to play).
Wish List:
Dedicated server (not some home-brew setup that restarts every 10 minutes and is laggy)
Smaller is better
Adult server is best
Mods are fine, but pvp is not my thing
Survival (not creative)
Developed is fine, but not so that I have to walk for 3 days to find an empty spot
Private/white list is fine
I know how to build large, intricate buildings / communities
Hit me up with some information and I'll come check you out. PM is fine if your server is private.
Just started a new server on a dedicated. it's small and I don't intend it to have a bunch of players, just a small core group. Looking for a pro builder to help organize and build areas.
No spawning
few mods
whitelist
few players
dedicated
fresh map
Shoot me a PM and let me know your skills and we'll give you a shot. We got some builders ready to help!
I've set up a dedicated server (24/7). Looking for some help.
Server will be
5 person server (max)
role-play building
whitelist
dedicated (24/7 access)
no spawning of materials, no cuboid type material
Looking for:
folks that want to build on a small population server
folks that enjoy building, mining, etc without all the server drama or lag
folks that are tired of come-and-go servers, servers that are only on a few hours a day, etc.
and maybe someone with CentOS knowledge that can guide me through a few things, learn better how to control the server
Send a message w/ any questions. Tell me something about you and your skills/gameplay, and why you want to join.
I'm having the same problem on a computer that should be able to support the game. Works perfectly in the custom game, but not in the alpha. Man does that game draw some resources. I'm not sure what it would take to run it in it's current state.
Lots of errors saying "did time change?", "can't keep up" and things like that. The game says it's using only like 30% ram, but it ends up using 100% CPU when I log in. Then it doesn't load the world fully, I can see lava, caves, etc... I can jump down and enter caves, it's kind of fun - but I can't get any blocks, they respawn too fast.
Very nice. I played around with it and got to the shell. One correction, where you said
3. Next look in SSL -> Auth. Use the Browse button to select your new .ppk file.
That should read "SSH -> Auth" in putty, or it does on my screen.
Also putty didn't automatically try to login as ec2-user, it just gave me the login prompt - I had to enter ec2-user, but got right in after that. I'm not sure if I did something wrong, but that was my experience.
Thanks, I'll play around with it. Do you have a server running? What costs are you experiencing? If it's just a few bucks a month, it could be fun to play with - but if it runs up a 40-50$ /month bill, then it was fun to try, but not a long term solution...

I'd really rather not admin as I don't have the time for it. I just want to be a normal good-ole player.

Well it is kind of sound advice, is it not?

It's probably a version problem.
