Hey there glider521al,
I wanted to ask; for your next update of the mod, and as a way to extend it on top of what "/gamerule keepinventory" already provides, could you make it possible for some percentage of the items in your inventory to be randomly dropped on death (configurable)?
So rather than losing ALL your items, or keeping ALL your items, you might lose only 1/4 or 1/2 or some other randomly-chosen slice of your inventory total (ideally set in a config file).
I think the other suggestions Blue001 makes above would also be excellent for this mod as well. (Perhaps the inventory drop rates/drop method could be specified per dimension/world, even.)
I know I would really appreciate and use this mod if such features could be added. Thanks!

May 16, 2013Hey, just wanted to say I really like the core ideas of this mod, particularly the emphasis on tool use over punching things. I'd love to use it, but unfortunately it doesn't appear to be Forge-compatible, and I can't really move away from Forge at this time. Is there any chance that this might be made compatible in the near future? It'd be much appreciated!Posted in: Minecraft Mods
May 16, 2013I would be very interested to see an update of this to 1.5.2 if that's possible. Was pleased to see this mod; nice work!Posted in: Minecraft Mods
A request, if you're willing; can you add a feature to restrict certain user-defined items from being placed in certain user-defined inventories (for example, wooden chests versus ender chests, or vice-versa)? It'd be much appreciated if you could!
May 13, 2013Okay, I'm confused. Can anyone tell me how I'm supposed to access this menu? When I open the Tinker Table I see the original style of menu, and I can't seem to find a keybinding that opens this one, or any mention of the controls on the PowerSuits website or this thread. Am I completely missing something? I'm not sure if I've installed the mod wrong or what...(I'm presuming this is part of why I can't access the "Transparent Armor" toggle in the "K" keybind menu...)Posted in: WIP Mods
Thanks in advance.
May 12, 2013Hey MachineMuse; was just testing the mod, and I'm really excited to see all the changes. Great work!Posted in: WIP Mods
EDIT: Spoiler'd because I forgot the no bugposts in the thread rule, but I'm keeping this here for reference while I check things... /:P
That said, I seem to have a minor problem (either that or I'm missing something). Is there a way to turn off the "Transparent Armor" module once it is installed? I know it was possible previously, but using the latest stable forge (188.8.131.524) and the latest version of MPS (0.6.0-444), I can't see the icon for that module in the keybind menu when I press "K". I can toggle "Active Camoflauge" just fine, by comparison, and all the other modules (and their keybind toggles) appear to work fine as far as I've been able to test them. Can anyone confirm this problem, or point out what I'm doing wrong? Turning invisible inside my visible suit doesn't quite cut it (nor does walking back to the tinker table to uninstall/reinall all the suit invisibility modules)...
EDIT: Also, I seem to be having an odd issue with the Plasma Cannon. When I hold my mouse button down to charge it, it seems to charge about halfway (or for about 1 second), and then "skip" back to its uncharged state, at which point it begins charging again. Or sometimes it just starts skipping a lot over a shorter interval. I am pretty certain it is draining battery power every time it does this. Is there something I could check to get a better idea of what's causing this issue? I'm not sure how to offer more useful information on the issue.

Girl, could you stop this? This is too much awesomeness for a single person.
I SHALL ENDURE

It's likely a lot of these people enjoy having you yelling at them.
Anyway, I have a suggestion you'll actually like:
...The only downside is that potentially people will see this post and realize what's going on. But then again, I can always edit my post later if you accept this suggestion and it'll just say "ermahgerd ersum merd" or something like that.
XD I only wish I'd thought to suggest this sooner...
You could add a comment counter to your site, even. "247 Scorching-Hot Ideas and Counting!" Share the love, all that.

...it's hard to imagine, do you want a video showing that "slowness" and the Tinker's table config?
It is hard to know exactly what you mean without seeing it. I guess what I'd suggest is that you double-check that you have the latest versions of both Forge and the PowerSuit mod completely up to date, and check to see if that doesn't resolve your problem. And then maybe double-check the latest PowerSuit update changelogs, in case something subtle has changed. And if you can't fix it doing those things, then you might as well post a video or at least screenshots documenting the problem; maybe you've found a bug. Not sure what else to suggest~

if i use the "transparent armor" upgrade i won't be able to see it...
also, when i'm flying, if i use "glide" my speed is slowed A LOT, and the same happens if i'm in other world, in creative, while flying i'm slowest as hell t_t
You can map multiple modules to a single button in the button mapper (press "K"). I've solved this problem by mapping both active camoflauge + transparent armor to the same button. You can also map modules to more than one button (if I recall right); so you could have keys to turn them on and off separately too. This worked in the last version I used, anyway, I've not had a chance to test the latest version.
Dunno about your flying problem, but did you crank up the Jetpack speed values in the TTable, if you're using that module? And/or are you using the parachute module, which is designed to slow you down? As far as I know the glide module doesn't make you terribly fast, but I'd need to test it to confirm at this stage...
Apr 28, 2013You know, I wonder if what the admins should really add as a feature to this site is some sort of ubersticky post that floats at the top of any given thread page forever, so that modders can put all the key info and links and warnings in there and it becomes the first thing anyone sees regardless of what page they actually open on the given thread's timeline (since so many people seem to miss or outright ignore the Firstpost for...reasons)... /:UPosted in: WIP Mods

That was a clap of achievement, not disapproval... perhaps I should have clarified. You managed to get the You-WILL-Do-What-I-Want poster to keep quiet with only three words on his side.
Also, I liked the first one too, the second was for if it was too much like another one. (lets say, the mining pick turned on it's side?)
No worries mate, thanks for clarifying. I guess I'm more inclined to associate "slow" with "sarcastic" versus, say, "forceful"(?)...I am gratified regardless~
Credit to the other guy for listening though; I can thwack as hard as I please, and it won't budge a dude an inch if he doesn't actually realize that I am actually taking sense and not jabbering insane necronomiconese just to spite him...

well because it looks like any idea anyone tosses out there she rejects...
Dude, you can do what you like, but just know that MachineMuse's thoughts on suggestions are clear as day as written in the first post, and you are plenty welcome to implement your own ideas to boot, so don't say no-one didn't warn you when she goes and rips your arms off.

probably a dumb idea but id like to toss it out there anyways...

Sorry to spoil your fun; I just thought MachineMuse might enjoy a little break for once. Looks like she went for it anyway though... XD
I've been really pressed for time (accidentally started sleeping an extra four hours, bah) but I think I might have an okay looking rototiller thing going. It's based off the other tool modules, for consistency.
Here are the two variations I've come up with.
I think I like the first one, it just looks cleaner and swoopier(!) to me. Nice work either way though~

Fair enough. Thanks.
Thanks for listening~

5. Because it isn't too hard to ask "What did I do wrong" and get the response "You're using the wrong forge." In fact, it would have saved you time.
You guys seem to really like defending your own state of ignorance and/or lack of reading comprehension...I just went and confirmed out of my own curiousity and everything is documented very nicely on her website: http://machinemuse.n.../download.php ...and this is referenced directly in the main post. (There, I fixed it for you!)
I sort of lulzed at the bit where you try to make an argument of entitlement from how you "don't make mods, you USE them"...because that is so very authoritative and persuasive and not whiny at all...and if you really can't be bothered to RTFM, you really SHOULD use a modpack, it will save you many butthurts.
Also no, it really wouldn't save her time to answer, it would just encourage more people to ask additional redundant questions in the future. There's a reason, for example, why Eloraam's website has an "EXCESSIVELY Asked Questions" page, dude...
EDIT: Also, although it does admittedly make for Interesting Times, the fact that MachineMuse has released her mod publicly for other people to use does not make her beholden in any way to act as your tech support, or to be nice to you. If you can't understand that, I'm not sure what else to say to you, other than that you'd likely do better to wander off to kinder waters... /:P
