I've played both a lot of smp and ssp, and have found that I specialize in optimal resource collection (phoenix mining, underground farming, mob grinders for), redstone traps and B.U.D switches and cannons, and in creating covert bases, as hidden as possible. I have done tons of research on how to get the most with the least amount of time and resources, as well as keeping it all hidden. I have made plenty of bases designed specifically for pvp that are nearly undetectable even to xray texture pack users.
5)How do you describe your minecraft hobby? (aka building, mining, raiding, etc)
I love the idea of pvp, and war in minecraft, and I would say I love base design the most.
5)What is your in game name?
skiingxmoose
7)What is your favorite rule of ours?
keeping active. I have been a part of minecraft clans that never really got started because of inactivity. It's the worst poison for any clan
8)About how old are you? (teen, underteen, older than teen?)
15
9)Are you new to minecraft servers?
Nope, I have played on atleast 7. <----
10)How important is strict enforcement of the rules to you?
I think it's important that enforce, take them seriously, and make sure players know they exsist. But most of the rules are pretty straight forward anyway.
11)What, in your opinion, stands out about our faction. What makes it special?
I love that this faction has a server ready to play on.
Lol, I didn't play any of the prereleases because I didn't want to play buggy, unfinished stuff. Now that 1.0 comes out. I have a **** load of new features to explore... so yah... the difference between 1.8.1 and 1.0, is huge.
I have a 1.8 world that I put quite a bit of time into, I have downloaded any 1.9 pre-releases, and I'm wondering if I should/have to make an entirely new world to get all the new generation features and stuff...
Also, my world is really tiny right now, like 3 MB tiny, so I can easily generate more land right near my home if I want to.
And for pc specs, I have i3 processor, 4gb of ram, and I don't know what graphics card, but it scores a 4.7 out of 8.9 ( my lowest score) on the windows computer assesment thing...
I have an idea. Seeming as though an unenterable vault isn't possible, maybe getting to the vault would just try your patience so much that you'd go crazy. Maybe something that would PHYSICALLY exhaust the griefer such as a 1000 block long tunnel that had alternating blocks in the floor like so.
That would only be the start. There would also be many doors with pistons in blocks in a 1*1 space between doors with the doors alternating open and closed. Below would be lava. Near the end of that there would be a redstone combo lock surrounded by bedrock and covered with lava so X-Ray textures dont work. On top of that there would be a series of one way doors, minecart tracks and pit falls. If you failed to hit levers that would turn the track in the right direction, they would drop you in a pit of bedrock with some lava in a short tunnel near it. It would destroy all of the greifers items and make he/she start all over again. To make an exit, you would just duplicate all that stuff in MCEdit. It would frustrate most and more would just stop. Im not good with redstone so maybe somebody could do a proof of concept? If you have a server, I would help with the design.
Vault's like that are not the point of the thread, the point is to find and perfect an unenterable vault... which has almost been achieved.

Minecart elevators work the best, are really cheap, and are really fast...

A 5 lever combo lock iron door to a vault
A monster trap/spawner/item collecter
Traps to build arround your house just for fun

Mountains were rather small (compared to gargamel of course) and they didn't seem as abundant.

don't really see the purpose of having another workaround of that

So would a new graphics card help with fps?
