I downloaded it from Jeb's twitter, copied it to .minecraft/bin/minecraft.jar and ran the MC Launcher. This is the way it works, and no other way will make it work.
This is exactly the same as Pre-Release 1.
I've tried it on 3 different computers now, all running Windows 7 and it works just as I described.
Use your head and stop being stupid.
Thank-you. -

Not their problem. They only have to update the game. Any additional UNOFFICIAL mods or plugins are for use at your own risk.
You're argument is invalid, and you're wasting your time.
Deal with it.

WHINERS WHNING ABOUT WHINERS WHININGS
I'M RIGHT AND YOUR WRONG BECAUSE I SAID SO
You've been repeating the same thing this whole thread and haven't offered a single decent argument or useful explanation.
Change the f*ing record, mate. Your not convincing anyone.
I'm not gonna comment much on your previous comment because frankly my brain might start bleeding from all the dur.
FYI "imaginative people" wouldn't be crying for the removal of optional and game enhancing features.

Why, do you think they are going too fast?

Best mod compilation EVER!
I don't need mods to enjoy Minecraft, but there is only so much to do before it starts to get repetitive. Mods alleviate that feeling of repetitiveness.

Look at this:

and this:

Now stop being an asshole when people are trying to help you. Just because you are too stupid to use Google doesn't mean you get to be a jerk about it.

But your voices are being heard. Every action by the Mojang team verify that.
It's just that:
1. The voices will never be pleased
2. The voices are just repeating themselves.
Over.
And over.
AND OVER.
"OH GOD NOTCH/JEB CHANGED ONE LITTLE THING OMG THAT BREAKS THE GAME IT'S NOT THE SAME WHY MUST LIFE SUCK SO!?"
Seriously, get off it.
If everyone would at least stick to one complaint thread instead of making a billion new threads every time something is changed, it would make it a lot more bearable.
You're record is more broken than Disc 11. Get over yourself.

And not even convincing one's at that.

Going with that logic a single plant does not take up all the dirt around it, and are planted apart for specifically this reason. And it most likely will not die, especially something as hearty as wheat. Melons or pumpkins will not die either, and most likely will have heartier yield if vines are strategically killed off.
Even grapes are a surprisingly strong plant and can survive a tractor running over it. Be it sapling for full grown.
I've personally grown all of these IRL.

When I walk around on it, the ground does not flatten and instantly kill the crops.
I thought it was pretty pointless before, and just a waste of time to make farmland disappear just by touching it with your pinky toe.
It's fine the way it is and YOU ALL are just being *way* too picky.
