    posted a message on 1.7.10 forge item/block id changes with each new mod added?
    Is adding a new mod for 1.7+ suppose to change the item/block id for the pre-existing worlds? Cause adding/removing mods and the id table gets shifted by the new mod and messes with the entire world leaving startup issues.

    Technically on cauldron-1.7.10-1.1207.01.187-server but pretty near certain this happens on forge-1.7.10-10.13.0.1199-universal as well.

    You mean editors don't have it built in, which isn't impossible to begin with since the servers know both what the block is suppose to be and what the block id is directly from the world files it isn't impossible to build that into the editors as well. Which is what the question being asked is, there an editor that's actually built for 1.7 as opposed to sticking with pre 1.7 of relying just on block id, since that obviously won't work going forward.

    So pparently with the whole 1.7 changes, ids are assigned per world rather than per client config settings now. Question is there an editor that'll let me move stuff between different worlds with different ids?

    If you're renting a server, you'll need to get them to forward the port for dynmap (defaults 8123). If you're seeing someone else's map you'll need to use a different port and get them to open that. For mc49.serverminer.com, your 8123 port is closed so get em to open it.

    As for what I'm actually posting for, showlabel: true does nothing for area markers, there a way to get it permanently showing ie. permanent overlay text only no bubble? Also there font options for that label as well? Off bukkit after like bit over an year so can't really use the add-ons which actually do come with region labels.

    No luck reproducing in singleplayer, happened in multi. If it's prevalent enough I'm sure someone else will probably report it. Recompiling ships that are too heavy on the sea bed stead of refloating em was a nice touch.

    Minecraft world practicality wise, generally nice to have a door at/right above the waterline for easy entrance. Real world, people generally avoid putting doors near there less they're heavily sealed which doesn't help you much if you don't close it in the first place.
    Probably be nice to have some hatch blocks and bulkhead doors when you get to submarines and destructible ships/flooding.

    No longer crashes so that's a plus, works pretty well given that you just fall through with smarter moving, but with creative flying and a helm you can still sail the boat without having to stand on it. Two issues though, one boats disappearing at certain angles/positions from view, happened on 2, didn't on one. Second suppose less of an bug issue than just an issue of water going through doors and hatches.

    Other than that it works nicely, the buoyancy calcs were a nice touch. Probably won't ditch smarter moving for it since ledge climbing and crawling's got far more utility but will try again should that get that fixed.

    Was actually excited to finally test this out, but then NullPointerException the moment I clicked launch. Do have tinkerer's and smarter moving though so if it's from that. In the mean time back to Archimedes, cause that actually runs.

    Searching but minecraft land generator searches lead to terrain generators rather than land generators, so anyone know of one that'll do it in game or at the very least without restarting the server? Mods have somehow increased the time it takes to start up the server by a couple fold to the point where 10k^2 takes a day+ to gen so would rather not rely on mlg.

    Well quite a few changes since apparently.
    -Forestry now accepts ic2x by default now, so no more special modded versions required.
    -Solar panels outputs EU in addition to MJ and probably UE energy (I haven't any mod that uses UE really).
    -Aluminum wires suck at EU, Heavy ones are marginally better, though still better off with one of the sealed IC2 wire or just IC2 wires. Aluminum wires however do transfer MJ so there is that..
    -Likely a GC change that causes electrical engines to not function if connected together across distances or to too many without the proper wires, so if you're using them in a circuit don't use aluminum wires.

    Well just finished some testing so here's a guide to making MJ with GC2.
    Easiest (No other mods required):
    Connected the solar panel to a wooden kinesis then the network.
    Pros:
    -Really easy to set up
    Cons:
    -Doesn't really make much MJ at all.

    Easy (Requires Forestry):
    Connect solar panel to any EU capable wire then to Forestry's Electrical Engines.
    Pros:
    -Easy to set up, electrical engines are fairly easy to obtain.
    -Makes 4x the energy of the easiest method provided you're using enough engines.
    Cons:
    -The more engines you have, the longer it'll take to start producing MJ. Too many engines and you'll never reach the amount of EU required to start producing MJ.

    Moderate (Requires Forestry + IC2):
    Connect solar panel to Batbox or any EU storage. Then connect that to your electrical engines.
    Pros:
    -About 8x the MJ production over easiest, 2x over Easy.
    Cons:
    -Requires IC2 + Forestry + Buildcraft (of course) to be installed.
    -Requires more stuff to be built prior to producing energy.
    -Too many engines and you'll actually lose out on MJ production.

    On a side note, pparently you need a ton of arguments starting a server or else it'll run like crap.

    MJ reader on bc tubes errors out internal server error, doesn't actually crash but does kick you out of the server. Also nother oddity, some conduits read conduits only other does the entire network.
