Well I dont have a PC, I only have a crappy laptop, that easily overheats. And it usually overheats most while playing minecraft. So recently I was playing on my main save, and I was in the middle of making a trap, when suddenly my laptop overheated. So I turned my laptop on, and the 1st thing I thought was "Is my save corrupted?" And sure enough, It was. So I was a bit frustrated, and didn't play until the next day. When I decided to start over, I named the world the same thing I named it before, "Main". I started playing, when suddenly, I found myself at my old base/house. So I got exited, and all my stuff was still in my chests. I continued on from that point, picking up where I left off. Then just about 10 minutes ago, the same thing happened. My laptop overheated, and the save corrupted. But when I made a new save, I named it "Main" again. And sure enough, after looking around, I found my old base again. I wanted to know, if I continue to name it "Main" will it regenerate the same world, but in a different spawn, or if i just got lucky twice in a row. Because I dont want to have to keep on worrying every time my laptop shuts off on me. :biggrin.gif:
tl;dr Does naming your save the same generate the same world, multiple times.
