Not having safe doorways is user error, not the creeper's fault.

Amen, some people need to learn to build, or make glass, or make traps, or put their doors in the correct way so they can poke the creeper in the eye if its by the door :|.

    Quote from DrGiggles

I didn't find out about this game until beta, so I have to pay for DLC. So what, I have a job and don't mind spending money to support something that brings me a lot of entertainment.

You sir are what more people should be, yes it sucks you didnt know about it. But we didn't know that the DLC was going to have a charge to it, we didnt really [or atleast I didnt] know that there was going to be dlc. We were promiced in so many words that it was a one time payment game, though notch changed his mind. however he decided to keep his promice to the people who bought the alpha because it felt wrong to him lie to us, which we didn't globally cry "OMFG I DUN WANNA PAY FOR DLC!". Its nothing about special privileges, only a promise.

Nice mod, saves me time without making it too much easyer... though any easyer and i'd probably just be loading up invedit :tongue.gif: Still, its fun to see that blue needle pop up and then hunt them down instead of branch mine all the time, saves me a heck of alot of time.

This isn't working anymore for me after it updated to V1.4_01.
It launches the game fine and dandy, but none of the items exist, and the recipes to craft them doesn't aswell.

    Yes I have 1.4_01 AudioMod.
    Yes I have 1.4_01 ModLoader.
Yes I have put all the files where they are meant to be.

Yes my Minecraft has updated to 1.4_01 which is bloody obvious...

Edit: I figured out the problem. You need to delete your resourses folder, and everything in your bin folder. I got it to work for me afterwards. I did a little reading up on what to do in the readme's and it said "fresh install". Hope you read this and can get back to your portal fun-ness :biggrin.gif:

I think they should continue to be rare- Wolves take away the lonely feeling in the game, so newbs shouldn't be able to get a wolf right away.

it will take a minimal of 7 minutes, plus a few more to find skeletons to get bones, then locate the dogs. So its nothing about newbishness. Its easy anyway.

All i see in the distance is THIS, to my left, to my right, in-front of me and behind me at a distance. If i try to walk towards it, it gets farther away. The land itself seems... alright, everything I've built is still there. But what the heck is this and how can i fix it if at all...?

This is on my Multiplayer server, not single player. Single player is 100% fine, just checked.

I have heard of him but is he real? Can anybody give me info about this person or thing??? :Pig: + :tnt: = :VV:

It's something like mob, but it has never been added to game. Notch mentioned it on his twitter, and since then everyone is talking about it. It's some king of scary mob, that won't attack you and won't chase you, but it will hide itself in the darkest corners of minecraft to freak you out :smile.gif: Hardcore version of creeper :SSSS:

Just without the explosions and with more of the 'non existance' Honestly when people talk about herobrine they are just trolling you. The creator of the game basically said, "There is no such thing."

So rest assured, the worst you have to worry about is a creeper popping up and scaring you. :SSSS:

posted a message on Chickens... the [tf2] spy of minecraft?
So, one day i was walking in a new file and spot a chunk error or i think. It was a big mountain though clipped in half, below it was a deep pit. I decide to go up the mountain and quickly set up a base, seeing a few trees. as i was making my equipment as i sat my workbench on the edge i heard a chicken nearby. Though thats no big deal, right?

So, i make myself a wooden axe to chop down the nearby trees a bit faster and the chicken pushed up against me i end up falling... strait down into the pit...

Yea, other than that incident i find chickens spawning everywhere in the oddest spots, usually higher than myself and always watching... always... i think they are out to get me! :sad.gif:

Mine is almost too embarrassing to say. I was exploring and found a towering mountain, with half of it cut off with a strait drop. When i got to the top i was looking down at the hole and wondering how deep it was, I was just about to move and then i felt myself get pushed, I was able to see what it was that pushed me. No it wasn't that fake thing, it was a chicken. Yes, a chicken pushed me off a mountain and sent me INTO the crater which was pretty deep...

I had diamonds on me, I had tools. I came back and found a chicken wandering around that hole and punched the chicken into it... the chicken fluttered down :|

I usually leave the top and bottom of the house when i get ready to move and scout for creepers, though i don't take the 'middle' out all at once. That kinda has saved me more times than any i can remember.

posted a message on Nomadic challenge? [lots of text inside for some]
I have been spending way too much time in my world 1 file in a big super base. The game was beginning to get boring or rather the 'world' was and so i thought to myself. Why not MAKE a challenge.

I'm sure this idea has been thought of multiple times so i doubt I'm original though that is not the purpose of this topic, the purpose is to come up with interesting ways for challenging people other than just switching on hard mode, being creative and practical.

How i plan on challenging myself is by only allowing myself a 5x5 x2[3 if you count roof] house, made out of wood [only] or brick if i'm lucky or snow or sand if im in the right biome. I may NOT have more than i can carry, I also cannot stay in base when its light [enough to burn zombies] outside. The day i put my building down is day one of three in which I may stay in said spot. The next morning counts as 2 which i can and probably must hunt for supplies, then after that on day three I pack EVERYTHING i can carry up and march on as fast as i can to a new base spot which is has to be a minimum of 2-3 minutes walking distance away and place down a 5x5 base again while repeating.

All of this while killing creepers, spiders, getting armor and tools within those days. Though If I die I most likely will never find my stuff, and if I fail in finding my stuff I can obviously start over.

This challenge is to be a basic lone-wolf nomad, always moving, NEVER staying in one place too long. Though instead of seasons i can possibly compensate by hunting down snowy area [and instead of wood, use snow blocks] , desert area [instead of wood... use mostly sand?] , or go into a cave big enough for a 5x5 building.

The ultimate goal is to set up a base in the Netherlands, though obviously you cannot use wood... so bricks will be the sufficient 5x5 house build and continue on, and just count in 4 or 5 minute cycles as far as moving along or going to get supply.

Though getting there is the challenge because you will eventually have to get a mine going which you may NOT break from the nomadic challenge, though there are no rules in which you may not come back to it. Though each time you do move you will go a little bit farther away.

Another rule, is that you may not re-setup in the same spot, and you may not have more than one base.

posted a message on Do YOU have weird habits?
my habit is usually to start off in a new world by getting 10 logs, then run and find coal without losing track of the starting point. Then get atleast 20+ of every nearby resource and then make a floating house and ladder to it, with a glass floor so i can see in it and a door facing in the 'bugged direction' so i can use my sword to attack anyone fool enough to run up it..

Also in mines, i mark my paths like...

    :cobblestone: :cobblestone: :cobblestone:
    :cobblestone: [] :cobblestone:
    :cobblestone: [] :cobblestone:
    :cobblestone: :cobblestone: :cobblestone:

kinda like a checkpoint fashion so i dont get lost. I usually put a torch in the middle top one pointing deeper into my cave system so i know when im going deeper or out, the usefullness depending upon how confusingly i dig sometimes starting off.

So your mad at me, Why?

Oh right, because you can be, and no i wont shut up. So please keep telling me to.

Most people use quote when they're NOT replying to the OP. Assuming the latest post in a thread is a reply to the post directly above it... well, that 'aint the way forums usually work. Based on the fact that 50% + of the people who reply didn't read anything AFTER the OP, this should be taken as the rule rather than the exception :smile.gif: Unless of course, you're simply looking for (more of) a fight, or you have some kind of forum witch-hunt paranoia complex - in which case, carry on my good man! :smile.gif:

Ah that's where i had it wrong, I usually think that well people who post after me unless they have a @OP:
in their post are talking to the last person who posted while maintaining some relevancy to the OP.

Who the **** are you? I was talking to the whiny douche OP ( burnov ). If you feel the same, sure go ahead and heed my advice. However don't get your fanny so full of sand next time you read. Your head will hurt less and so will your soul.

And for the record, I don't as I've stated above, I feel like you. I think the OP is being a whiny little girl [no offense to women]
