This just makes the game way too easy. No night=no mobs=no challenge. Also attempting to make the game easier for people who play on peaceful ??? Seriously?? Finally, it's not like skipping a night is a proper sacrifice for replenishing all health considering time is infinite.
I would definitely change many things it just makes the game too easy.
Tell me exactly the difference between allowing sleep to make night time pass quicker & standing in your base, safe & sound waiting for daytime, or pressing inventory button & walking off to do something else till it becomes day??
He said nothing about making it easier. Why cant health regenerate over time or while you sleep?? Not everyone rushes outside to fight, I dont so why do I have to play your way?? If a bed was introduced to regenerate health & quicken time...NO-ONE IS FORCING YOU TO USE THE BED!!!!!!!

We cant have options?? Or we cant make our own decisions on how to play it??

I personally would liketo have the CHOICE to skip night-time...and only last week in mp I mentioned to my mate how good it would be to regenerate health over a period of time.

I was running around above ground on my map searching for coal, I noticed quite a lot of small ponds, some partly under ground. I noticed that all of them were 1 or 2 blocks deep. Nothing deeper than 3 blocks...
It got me thinking, when you see an entrance to a mine you dont know how deep it is, where it goes or what treasures it contains. What if bodies of water (Not large ones) were the same?? I see a small pond, majority of it is under a hill, I dive in.... now 2 alternatives can happen. One you can hold a flare, which could be redstone & a stick which stays alight under water & brightens the area ahead of where your swimming or 2 you could wear a pumpkin which increases your time underwater slightly & like night vision goggles, illuminates the darkness so you can see where your going. But both the flare & pumpkin will degrade over time.
You could explore underwater caves, remove water with gravel to mine goodies.
Also if your branch mining underground and suddenly break into a large underground lake. Exploring this lake could reveal small fissures that you could explore deeper& DEEPER underground.
Although there are no dangers from monsters while your underwater, there is the possibility of surfacing into a cavern with monsters present & with the pumpkin degrading over time like tools, you could be caught underwater when it degrades to the point of breaking, with only limited air & blinded in the dark....Oh NOES!!!!!

Your friends version sounds like the minecraft.exe version.
Forgive me Notch for I have sinned, I pirated this game 3 months ago, please forgive me. Your power was too great and I succumbed to you. You an indie game developer, made an amazing game that you poured your heart and soul into and I could not continue any longer. You deserve it and now, I HAVE FINALLY BOUGHT MINECRAFT (Well buying it tomorrow) I'm just so so happy, thank you!

No I have to agree with OP.
When I start a new world, I have all these grand plans to build this wonderful house/castle/whatever, fill it full of valuables, like diamonds & gold, etc, etc.
But after a few weeks it seems to get boring. The appeal starts to vanish.... I get this feeling in the pit of my stomach that the map is no longer enjoyable, for some unknown reason. In which case I start a new world & suddenly the fun & appeal are back for a few weeks. Its hard to describe...your not bored with the game, your bored with the current world???
Maybe some people do need some objectives/ achievements... Yesterday I was digging out a planned vault room. And I thought we really need more items to personalize our homes. Vases, ability to make our own paintings/pictures, tables, chairs.... the current book case & painting are basic. After all we build out minecraft homes which reflect our personal preference so why cant the items/bling we place in & around it reflect it too.
Please dont accuse the OP of being a troll, they are simply stating their feeling on the game. And replying that way only makes you look like an ass.
My friend & I started our first MP world, we worked on it via lan. My friend was up above working on our castle, farm, tree forest, etc...while I toiled below ground. I like to build a 1x5 block stairway to the bottom, then branch out left & right 2x3 for as far as the eye can see. (OCD is my friend) I was working on the right branch when I came across lava. This is something I enjoy, blocking up the lava & creating a tunnel through it with gravel.
So there I was slaving over a hot magma, and I realised that my gravel was getting low. I was standing in front of lava/wall trying to determine how to attack it & I thought, well I am short on gravel so I might head up top to get some & It will be nice to feel the sun on my face (Been underground for about a week - game time).
I turn around to head up the tunnel.... now remember I am a grown man, which makes this sadder....my friend had come down from above & stood behind me waiting for me to turn around, I thought I was alone & his box-head scared the crap out of me, I screamed like a 12 yr old girl, (no offense to any 12 yr olds) jumped back into the lava pool, realised what I had done & started running down the tunnel towards my pool.....only to die within sight of it.....
I casually walked into the next room where my mate was sitting/rolling around on the floor, he had almost soiled himself laughing....I biatch slapped him & farted on his head.
Tell me you took 4 steps back & then ran & jumped.......
Love the random nature of maps. When I start a new map I just travel until I see a valley, field or mountain that jumps out at me & shows me what to build.
