Viewing the seed would be awesome.

And I tried vaginas and that's a HUGE desert. Thanks. You can't miss it if your spawn is within a hundred of 0,0. But 0,0 is a really nice spot with desert in positive z, ocean with sand islands in negative z, endless desert shoreline in negative x, and nice forests starting at about positive 75 x.

will beta 1.3 be compatible soon?

The post above you says it is already, but the dev said he would stop updating it and has released the source.

Has anyone decided to improve on this?

Yup, except that I deleted my minecraft folder, hearing it was the fix to the single player crash. Restored it, and now it crashes when I click single player again, and it cannot connect.

Same here, my game kept crashing when I clicked single player like everyone else on a mac, so I backed up and deleted my minecraft folder, and now it won't connect at all. Using OS X 10.5.8.

Also my launcher looks really wierd:

Eh? Cobblestone factories do not need to be anywhere as complicated as that.

Except that you can get like four times the efficiency.

So, here is a design that fits in a space 4Lx4Wx3H, and uses one water and one lava. The main advantages are the quick setup (under a minute if you know what you are doing) and that you don't have to move your mouse to mine the other block. This means you can put something on your mouse button and leave your computer, and it will keep mining at full efficiency. Here are the plans:

    Bottom level, underground:
    :stone: :stone: :stone: :stone:
    :stone: :stone: [] :stone:
    :stone: :stone: [] :stone:
    :stone: :stone: [] :stone:
    :stone: :stone: [] :stone:
    :stone: :stone: :stone: :stone:

    Level 2:
    [] [] [] []
    [] :stone: [] []
    :stone: [] :stone: []
    :stone: [] :stone: :Water:
    [] :stone: [] :stone:
    [] [] [] []

    Level 3:
    [] [] [] []
    [] :stone: [] []
    :stone: [] :stone: []
    :stone: :Lava: :stone: []
    [] :stone: [] []
    [] [] [] []

If you are familiar with any other designs, the only confusing part is that the water goes "up" in the diagram, turning around into the ditch, and goes back down.

If you use a diamond pickaxe, you should add a third block to break, between rows 2 and 3, identical to row 3. Put the lava in the middle of the three.

You can lengthen the ditch on the bottom level by one, towards the bottom of the diagram, to make it so that you don't lose half a heart when you get in.

    Pics:

Step in that hole of water to mine.

When I load, it goes through the loading and black screens, but gets stuck at the purple Mojang screen. I just tried to install More Worlds using Minecrafter, on OS X 10.5.8.

Using Minecrafter on a Mac, it says "At least one of these .class files has been modified with JRE > 1.5. Because you are running OS X 10.5, this mod may not work and will cause a black screen when launching Minecraft." and it does.

When you die in the nether it makes a portal for you to get out if there is not one close enough for you. You obviously took a long trip in the nether and then died.

posted a message on [REQ] AGE MOD?
I think that the fountain of youth should be a one use thing. Otherwise you would just use it every day. And yes, the baby animals would still happen. They would use up your fountain, so keep them out!

    Crafting:
For super fountain (makes you a baby):
    :GoldBar: :Diamond: :GoldBar:
    [] :Water: []
    :GoldBar: :Diamond: :GoldBar:

    Or:

    :Yellow: [] :Yellow:
    [] :Water: []
    :Yellow: [] :Yellow:

    27 Gold per life

    Where Water bucket= :Water:
    Gold Block= :Yellow:

Fountain of Youth (1/10 of life regenerated)
    :GoldBar: :GoldBar: :GoldBar:
    :GoldBar: :Water: :GoldBar:
    :GoldBar: :GoldBar: :GoldBar:

    80 gold per life.

If you die from old age, then everything should get fuzzy for one day and then you die. You then respawn as everything just starting to get fuzzy.

So how tall? Indefinite? I think that climbing 1 block high should slow you down a lot (1 second?), and climbing 2 blocks would take like 5 seconds. That would be the limit of climbing.

Using this system, a forest would eventually grow over the whole map, so I don't think this is a good idea.

That is the idea. To have forests really slowly grow over every non desert/water place on the map. That's what happens on earth you know. And on snow, it would be a much smaller chance of planting. Like REALLY small.

It wouldn't be enough to make natural tree farming at all viable, unless you had a huge area to let regrow.
