    I followed the link to the download site and it said I had to disable my ad blocker. I did and was immediately hit with an invasive pop up that required me going through my task manager to disable.

    Hi again! I finally figured out the issue regarding seeing enchantment descriptions. (The keybind I needed to set was 'sneak', because that's just logical).


    When I mouseover many enchants, it says, "Please refer to Dungeonpedia Volume 3: Trinkets & Charms." I pulled up JEI and searched dungeon, and I can make Dungeonpedia volume 1. But there are no options for Volumes 2 or 3. Are they found objects? Thanks.


    edit: Figured it out. I had to search for "Alchemy". The "Dungeonpedia" part of the title isn't actually the name of the item.

    HI there! I have a random question. Is it possible to "share" or "sync" discoveries? I'm playing on a private server with my girlfriend, and it's kind of a pain to have to use two identification scrolls for every spell book.


    We tried to use the "Together forever" mod to sync advancements, but the discoveries don't seem to count. Any ideas?

    Hey there. Weird issue just happened, I'm wondering if anyone can help.


    I created an upgraded enchanting table and surrounded it with books. I clicked on it to open the GUI, placed my armour in the slot and started playing around. I did NOT apply an enchant.


    I hit the escape button to do something else and then came back to the table. My armour is still missing, but when I click on the upgraded enchanting table, nothing happens. It's a non-interactive block now.


    Any ideas?

    posted a message on Help finding the right ModPack: Fantasy RPG with Progression?

    Hey there, folks. My girlfriend and I are looking to set up a server for ourselves and a couple of friends. We've played lightly modified vanilla for a while and quite enjoyed it, but there isn't much left to do other than turn on creative mode and go wild. I'm hoping y'all can point us in the right direction.


    What we'd like is a mod pack that makes the game feel like a progression-based RPG. Maybe has something like:


    - Classes, or talents, or skill levels, so each player can have a focus and specialty.

    - Gated progression that requires players to unlock different tools, weapons, and armour before progressing.

    - Dungeons, raids, or world bosses that require specific tactics or equipment to defeat.

    - Airships (totally not a requirement, but we like having them).


    I've seen some around like SevTech Ages, Craft and Slash, and Minecraft Expedition, but I'd love input from people who've had the opportunity to play a lot more than I have!

    Hey there, folks! I'm hoping for a bit of help with an odd situation.





    I was out flying an airship with my girlfriend on our private minecraft server (1.12.2) when my computer decided to spontaneously shut down. We loaded back in and found ourselves on the ground, roughly 50 meters apart. Now normally if the pilot of an airship exits while the ship is in the air, the airship will slowly float to the ground. However, after loading in, our ship was nowhere to be found.





    Because the ship was loaded with chests containing the haul from our latest adventures, we're pretty desperate to find it. I have no idea how to locate, find, or teleport to the ship. Is there a way to find the nearest chest? Or does anyone know the 'name' of the entity created by davinci's vessels?

    Thanks for all the help, I really appreciate it. I'm new at this, as you can probably gather.

    I saw on the FAQ (http://www.radix-shock.com/mca--faq.html) that I can add or remove skins from the MOD. I tried to use the information on the site to do this, but in the end I wasn't able to make it work. What I did was:

    - Extracted the .jar file into its composite folders.

    - Went into the assets folder and deleted about half of the skins.

    - Added in a half dozen or so new skins.

    - Made sure all the names were contiguous (e.g. bakerf1, bakerf2, etc.). I didn't leave any gaps.

    - I compressed the entire mod folder into a zip file.

    - I added the zip file into the mods folder for both the server and the client folders.

    When I launch the server, however, I get this error:

    net.minecraftforge.fml.common.LoaderException: mca Failed load class: mca.core.MCA

    at net.minecraftforge.fml.common.FMLModContainer.constructMod(FMLModContainer.java:534) ~[forge-1.12.2-14.23.4.2747-universal.jar:?]

    So I don't know if there is a file inside MCA that I need to modify to account for fewer skins, or if my process for creating the .jar file is off, or what. Any help is appreciated!

    Thanks for the information! I'm relatively new to minecraft, so I've never had to go to github for up to date mods before; I usually just download them from the link provided by the developer.


    As for the multiplayer thing, that's a shame, but I guess it makes sense. Is that documented anywhere? I want to make sure I didn't miss anything else!

    Hi there, folks. I hope this issue isn't an old one with a simple issue, but this is my first time using the mod and I'm not sure what to do.

    I loaded in and it immediately crashed with an entity tick regarding steve the farmer. I uninstalled the addon and logged back in, but all my vanilla villagers were gone. So I moved out of the chunk, logged out, reinstalled the mod, logged in, and even though my villagers were still gone, I wasn't crashing and I could spawn them with the /summon villager command. Groovy.


    I got a crystal ball and attempted to choose my destiny. I activated the crystal ball and everything went wibbly. I chose my gender, preference, and name, but at no point did the enchanting room appear; just menu options on top of the normal world. The game went wibbly again, and I was standing in the same field as before. I didn't get to choose if I wanted to live alone or make no changes or anything. And no village spawned.


    I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong, but any help is appreciated.

    I'm talking about the dropdown menu in the waypoints menu. If the IP of the server changes, then there should definitely be more than 1 option.


    Okay, I was able to find the dropdown menu, which does in fact load the waypoints from previously, which is great.


    Unfortunately, it doesn't load the actual world map from previously. Is there a way to make that world map re-appear?


    Second question, is there a way to 'backup' my waypoints and maps? I see "export png, but is there a way to import?


    Thanks for all the help, I'm sure this is silly to have to deal with >.<

    Select the server/world in the dropdown menu, then go to options -> make current world auto.
    BTW, why don't you give the server machine a custom IP instead of letting it use DHCP?

    I didn't know a custom IP was an option, but I'll look into that. Thanks!


    As for selecting the server/world in the dropdown menu, there's only one world/server. Whenever my modem is knocked offline and my IP changes, I just edit the server to point to the new IP.

    Hi there! I run into a problem now and again I'm hoping you can help me sort out. I have a minecraft server running locally on my machine, which I connect to. Whenever my modem is knocked offline, the IP changes, which means I have to change the IP of the server I connect to. My "world" is still there, but I lost my map and waypoints. Is there some way to recover the map and waypoints? Thanks.
