So i updated Minecraft to 1.7.4, but I decided to continue playing 1.7.2, so I used Magic Launcher to select the 1.7.2 jar. However, now Minecraft has no sound. It has sound with 1.7.4 jar, but not 1.7.2. Any solutions?
I meant to put ModLoader in the mods list first, and the patch last. You don't have to mod the jar, although I did yesterday come across a mod that MagicLauncher does not load correctly.
For everyone having issues with sound: I wrote a patch that fixes the bug. It is apparently caused by minecraft and modloader both trying to load the sound manager at the same time. My patch prevents an instance of the sound system from being created while another is also being started. I have done minimal testing on this, so feedback would be greatly appreciated. Here is a download link: http://www.mediafire...derSoundFix.zip. You install it into the JAR like modloader. I believe this has to be installed after ML, but I am not sure about that so it may work even if installed first.
EDIT: wrong link, fixed now.
I installed it in 1.6.1.jar but I still got no sounds, though whenever I on Minecraft now my sound is set to OFF
I'm on 1.6.1 and installed ModLoader using Magic Launcher 1.1.6. However, there was no sound in Minecraft afterwards. I tried to disable ModLoader and the sound came back on. I'm guessing it's something wrong with ModLoader, but I'm not completely sure. In addition to ModLoader, I have also installed TMI and Rei's Minimap. Is there any solution to this?
Nether fortresses have a very low spawn rate much like strongholds. I wouldn't expect to find one anytime soon without some serious montage worthy exploration of your nether in all directions.
Really? That's something new I guess. I've always been able to find a fortress straight away in my previous saves :s. Guess I was wrong.
In my SSP world save (seed 4682787858866134251), I can't find any Nether Fortress at all. Maybe it's cause it's very far away, but I've flew around but still can't find any fortress. Is it possible that it didn't generate or that it's just very far away?
I need help here :sad.gif:. When I loaded the texture pack and try to load a world, it shows the "Saving Chunks" screen for a split second before the screen turns white. Other texture pack works fine though.
I use Optifine. It worked in the previous versions.

I had ModLoader installed via Magic Launcher, unless you meant that I had to install ModLoader manually into the jar
