I have a suggestion for a new mob; the bugger.
I think the appearance will be best if it is just made up, so I'm thinking blue, 6 legs and glow in the dark antenes. Perhaps when it has only 25% of it's original health it starts glowing more.
Now for the exciting parts; the mob spawns when items are on the ground at night, meaning it will spawn in creeper holes, when the player has died and sometimes when people are trying to trade items. The mob will selectively sit on the items, it's priority will be anything diamond, including the armour, tools, storage block and even the ore. it will only protect dirt if nothing else is nearby. It won't pick up the items, or destroy them but it will make them alot harder to pickup.
It will only attack, when hit first, or no items are around.
It's drop is bugger legs, which should be used to craft potions, it creates the magnetic items potion, and the antimagnetic items potion, which the former causes items to function like exp orbs, the latter, means the items will fly away from you, and you will have to corner them in a wall to pick up.
Everyone is free to expand upon the ideas, and discuss what should be removed or changed.
