Mine has been crashing to a black screen since the 1.3 update. Usually happens after 30mins or so but can vary a lot. Is there any log file for minecraft that might show the cause of this?
AlmtyBob has some of the best (and easiest) minecart tutorials on the interwebz. you should check him out...
This ^^
The only downside I can see for your monorail design is that you'll need the 1-block dip in the track to activate the booster, but at least it will keep the continuous straight line
Besides, all RL train tracks need booster stations somewhere along the line anyway :smile.gif: Just design a nice looking building for them.
A 2 or 3 monitor setup helps
Just drag the window across all monitors and hit printscreen. Crop out the desktop and voila.
EDIT: This is an old screenie I took stretched across my two monitors (one 22" widescreen and one 17" regular monitor) Just imagine a triple-widescreen setup
Are you made of flint and steel? cuz you set me on FIRE
I'd like to spawn in your chunk.
Baby I wanna roast my pork in your furnace.
Hey what's this? You've got a saddle on you. Can I ride you all night long?
Wanna see my chest?
If the player is 1.62 m tall, then a whole number for the Y coordinate would refer not to a layer of blocks, but to a zero-thickness plane in between two rock layers. A y-coordinate of 5.00000000, for example, lies between the topmost layer with bedrock and the bottommost layer without it.
We therefore need a better way to enumerate the rock layers.
Say the player is standing on the 0 plane. That means that the camera is 1.62 above the level you are standing on.
So if the F3 reading gives 15.62, your feet are standing on the 14 block. Then if you are staring horizontallyat a two-block high column, the camera is staring at the 16 block and the one below that is the 15 block. So whatever the whole number on the F3 reading is, it is referring to the block at the level of your legs.
I have tested this using an old map that still has the "bottomless pits" through the admin layer. It allowed me to count from the void (0) upwards.
yes it's those damn skellies. I was patching up a dungeon on peaceful to make a mob trap from it and all of a sudden there was loud *TWANG* from the puff of smoke :tongue.gif:
