I really don't want to download buildcraft, which uses insane technology level to cost ratios, and contains tons of stuff I find either uselessly unfeasable, or just downright pointless, for survival, to move water from a railcraft tank to a furnace, or some other things. Any chance anyone can make a very straightforward mod that adds just a pipe, small tank, pump (with a config option for requiring energy, maybe? Not sure,) and grate? Yes, these Items all exist in other mods, however, again, I don't care for buildcraft, thermal expansion now no longer contains pipes, and redpower hasn't updated for I believe over a year now, along with Eloraam's penchant for not releasing a mod until she's added in every last detail, which, while good at keeping things stable, means it typically takes an ungodly amount of time.
(This part only matters if nodes still release energy out into the world;) What if warded glass/blocks/other materials could contain a node so as to limit others' ability to sap energy from it, so that one could have their own personal node which others could sap or infect with taint and in doing so cause undue grief to the person who owns it?
(This part can work for anything) Also, for moving nodes, maybe putting them in some sort of multiblock chamber (Looking at warded, preferably) and having another built elsewhere, which would force the node to exist in two places at once, until one of the structures was destroyed, causing it to disconnect from the network, and leave a weaker/unstable/etc. negative (usually) node in place. This could also be used for combining nodes, along with variations of the structure merely causing one node to siphon into another, thereby increasing it's capacity, contents, and stability, at the detriment of the other.

Reminds me of Mystcraft though although this does have potential. A Void that has the same foreground and background as the effect from a Portable hole, where the player is in a completely empty void, where he/she can use material from the real world and use it to build his/her own paradise.
The discoveries of a Thaumist really does not end, it would be nice to have a Personal dimension to run as you please, As well as Familiars that act as a assistant in General, but each have their own traits, powers and abilities left to the thaumist's avail.
Course having your own Personal Dimension would mean being tasked to maintain its own Thaum Node like in the real world in order to keep everything present as is or risk the collapse of the entire Dimension, maybe even the loss of everything that was once there. (Course the player will always be expelled.)
Yes. A portable 'door' which acts as a hole between worlds rather than between walls.
I'm sort of imagining using an object similar to the portable hole on a wall underground, but instead of opening a long tunnel to a cave it opens a meter deep hole, and the other side is anything but the cave it should lead to.
Maybe the end result depends on how much flux is in the everywhere.
Maybe it's a bit fragile, and opening the tear to wherever it leads to would be like opening the window on a spaceship. All that flux in the environment just comes flooding in to this multidimensional space of nothingness. Or maybe it's the opposite and the other side has an incredibly high amount of flux, causing it all to rush out and pollute your face in.
Maybe it's a matter of luck.
I wish thaumatic slimes would come back. I liked them a lot. Perhaps as a pet, because I honestly thought that they were one of the coolest things in TC2. I remember using the portal runes to cause huge taint fluctuation, causing them to become massive, even though they were cordoned off in a chunk, allowing me to poke them with a fire wand until they puked up crystals. Maybe a slime in a jar? That'd be fun. Actually, I wouldn't mind some purely aesthetic items in TC, like finding out you certainly are able to make things, but that doesn't mean it'll be useful. Slime in a jar, holding lamps for the self sustaining fires that I've forgotten the name of, totems made out of zombie brains and sticks, magical wall chains that would restrain a zombie (actually, that could be useful for de-zombifying villagers,) pet floating heads, miniature creeper cages, a failed golem that just sits there and tells jokes whenever you talk to him, chandeliers made out of vis crystals (more on the chandelier than actually used, since I'd assume you'd use fragments of the crystals, rather than piles of whole ones,) stands for wands, an abomination created out of raw meat that just sort of lumbers along behind you because it imprinted to you when you created it, but is incapable of fighting (yet,) and is made of rotten meat and nightmares, so doesn't even serve to attract zombies, etc. That last one, I think it'd be cool if you could add more and more rotten meat two it, and it'd become a progressively bigger and bigger horror.
I'd reply to the video but I can't find it, but honestly, I don't really care for the 3D modelled wands. I quite like tools that follow the standard minecraft tool "flat-ish, but with a pixel of depth" format.

Still having a problem whereby some of the recipes in my thaumonomicon are incorrect and show random things from other mods I have installed. What other mods I have installed makes no difference whatsoever and I've tried e.g. removing 10 mods which then fixes it and if I then add back in ANY one of those mods, it breaks it again all with different random recipes in my thaumonomicon. I've been checking to see if it's ID conflicts but can't find anything of the like (although I may be wrong).
I have ~80 mods installed which is on par with the FTB packs and they do not have this problem, many of the mods are also very similar to the ones in FTB. I do have magic bees and thaumic tinkerer installed but have tried removing them and it makes no difference.
EDIT: As an example, if I go into my thaumonomicon and click on scribing tools to see the recipe I get a recipe for willow logs (which I think is from Natura). If I then remove Natura, I get another recipe from a different mod (i.e. it still doesn't show the recipe for scribing tools but it doesn't show the willow log recipe either).
Your items are overwriting one another. You need to go into the configs and figure out which, and then fix them. This will likely take several hours. Or five minutes. Depends on the severity of the conflicts. Also, Essentia is a bit iffy and likes to dink up some mods.There should be some fluxes which actually alter the environment drastically over time, like mushrooms causing mycelium and giant mushroom grown, and end causing the environment to bleach out and have increased enderman spawns, and Nether, well, causing above world nether. (Yes, I'm aware the different Essences have names other than that, but you know what i f-ing meant.) Maybe a thaumatic terraformer if not that, but either way, currently flux is either really passive aggressive, or a straight sledgehammer to the nuts. Really would be interesting to see it have more obvious results that aren't wisps and pain.
Something f-ed p my nether portals, as in now I cannot get one to actually form, I'm getting a wee bit aggrivated from it, here's the closest thing to a mod list I'm willing to put out the effort to dig up, because I'm just going to abuse an unstable door until I get where I want to be. If anyone can figure out which mod is causing the issue, I would however be grateful:
