cestislife posted a message on How to Ask for Help Effectively (Unmodified Java Edition)Posted in: Java Edition SupportWelcome to Unmodified Client Support.
If you are here then we would assume you are having issues with either getting the game to run, or trying to troubleshoot a specific crash that has happened. Please always remember to create your own topic for your own issue, posting on others' topics for your own issue, even if it is similar, is considered very rude. Create your own topic, it's free!
But in many cases, people do not provide enough information, and that makes providing support more difficult. So to make everyone's lives easier, please take your time to include several pieces of information so that we do no have to waste time on asking you to provide the info needed for general troubleshooting. And with that, we as the community would try our best to provide as much support as we can.
Before posting, please make sure to Google your issue, or part of your crash logs. You will find that many others have had similar issues and in many cases, they have been resolved.
TL;DR
1. Give an accurate, detailed description of your issue
2. Provide the development console log.
3. Provide system specs.
4. Provide Java version used/installed.
Give an accurate, detailed description of your issue
Remember, the more information you give us to begin with, the easier it will be for us to find solution to your problem. We are not psychic, so you have to tell us what is actually wrong with Minecraft, or how are you having problems with running it.
Did it give any error prompts? Did it just close on its own? Did it happen before? Has Minecraft ever worked before on the machine? What unusual behavior is it exhibiting? Those sort of questions.
All of these are very helpful in finding what is actually the problem, and that we can pinpoint the cause and hopefully get you a working solution.
It would also help if the title of your thread gives a little insight of your issue, and the Minecraft version you are running, a good example of it is as such.- [1.5.2][Windows] Bad video card drivers
- [1.5.1][Mac] Cannot get JAWT interface
Provide the crash/development console log
The crash or development console log is the most essential part of trying to figure out what went wrong with Minecraft, or your computer in general. You should provide logs such as, but not limited to:- Minecraft crash log (Looks like this)
- Java crash log
- ' class='bbc'>Development console log
http://www.minecraft..._a_crash_report
You can also grab the development console log for the above purpose as well. Click Edit Profile, then check Launcher Visibility, select Keep Launcher Open and finally hit Save Profile. This will ensure that the log is kept open after launching the game.
However you have obtained your logs, it would be wise to either spoiler it, or paste it on http://pastebin.com then share the URL on your support topic so it would not stretch the page.
Provide your system specifications
A. Windows
The DxDiag log provides us with your full and accurate system specs so you do not have to guess what is onboard your computer. Like crash logs, this is very long, it would be wise to either spoiler it, or paste it on http://pastebin.com then share the URL on your support topic so it would not stretch the page.
B. Mac
If you are on a Mac, please specify- What year is it from?
- What is it? (A Macbook, Macbook Air, iMac, etc)
- What version of OS X is it running?
- Are you running OS X on a non-Mac?
If you are on a Linux system, please specify the general info below. You can also obtain this information through the Terminal.- Your CPU
- Your GPU
- RAM installed
- Your distro
Specify your Java version
On most operating systems, you can open up Command Prompt, or Terminal then type in this command, java -version
The output would show the version and architecture(32-bit or 64-bit) of the Java you have installed. For example,
In this case, it means that I have Java 1.8.0 (Java 8) installed, and it is the 64-bit version. -

Warning: An actual spoiler of the story - New spoiler about the dream -
- The dream that sebagius7110 has of them defeating Herobrine is false. Herobrine prevents it from happening.
Right now I have:
sebagius7110: A boy that discovers that he has special powers to defeat Herobrine and that he is the chosen one.
Steve: A newly spawned player that gets stuck in the mess of Herobrine's actions.
yogibearlove: sebagius7110's wise sister, has special powers too.
Herobrine: The evil dark lord, has no eyes and is trying to destroy The Lands Of Minecraft.
Withers: Herobrine's Guards and attacking soldiers.
I hope to see some people contribute and have their username featured in the story, The overworld attack. (If there are any suggestions for a different title.)
Characters added:
that's where his skill comes from.
It has three forms, each with a different ability, (pic below)
He is an excellent swordfighter, but that's his main skill. By Shadowfurry333
Epilogue:
The chosen one? - sebagius7110's view -
- Elder Dave’s View –
“Should we tell him yet?” I said. “Hmm yes.” Elder Heren replied. “Ok, I’ll tell him now...”
- sebagius7110’s view –
Elder Dave walked in, “seb, there is something I need to tell you...” He said. “What is it Dave?” I asked him. “Well, I didn’t want to tell you, but I need to now. You... are the... Chosen One.” Dave told me. “I AM??!?!? Why didn’t you tell me?” I replied. “Because you were not ready. Now that you are, I’ve got your sister to teach you how to use your powers.” He said. I replied, “I have a sister?” “Yes you do.” He answered my question. His sister walked in and introduced herself. My sister’s name is yogibearlove. Suddenly I started to fade. “Wa, what’s happening Dave?” I said as I shivered. “Don’t worry, it’s natural. Now that your body knows you are the chosen one, it’s... What can I say, transforming you...” Dave replied. Next thing I know I am having a dream, a Dream about Herobrine...

It's ok, I mean what did you download to run the cracked server? For example a normal minecraft server is bukkit, what software did you download to run your cracked server?

Correct you are absolutely correct, I am only 11 and had a minecraft server that people joined just for one day, I devoted my time to the players and give them good experience. But once my dad found out he got angry so I had to shut it down, and my minecraft does not work anyway but now I run a minecraft pocket edition server and I do devote my time to my players and give them diamonds sometimes everyone should listen to godlover9000 and know that it is about your players having a good time, not you going around trolling and annoying people, and a good thing to do when getting admins is to what I call 'test' them, now I can do this easily on mcpe because I can change my username. You can test them by logging in with another username and start off nice, then test them by saying the server is crap etc, what I do is if my admins succeed this test, I promote them to make them know that they have done a good job, and if they fail I just tell them to make sure what they NEED to do next time. I hope godlover9000 and I have helped you make a better server.

Ok just use that then
But I did mean what software did you download to RUN the server. (Don't get offended by the caps lol)
