Um... you do realize they were[/i] focusing on PvE? The sword's sweep attack, for example, is a PvE-useful thing
I do realize that, but you forget that they also added strafing for skeletons, lowered knockback for all mobs, and sweep attacks don't always connect. I do not enjoy the thought of a more difficult pve and feel that this should be a non-mandatory feature of the game, maybe changed by clicking a button to load/unload the files necessary. Remember, many people play minecraft for the building aspect of the game and like collecting resources, they might also enjoy occasionally striking at 1 or 2 mobs. But it sure as hell feels like mojang stuck us the finger when they said that mobs will become harder to kill and you just have to deal with it. (and yes, i know about peaceful).
Skeletons now strafe in all directions at an incredibly fast rate
zombies take little to no knockback from sword hits (could just be a glitch in current snap)
you have to train your reticle on at least 1 mob for a sword to actually connect on all mobs (again, possibly a glitch in current snap)
and creepers no longer take as much knockback from sword hits (and again, possible glitch)
That being said, i don't really mind the fact that they wanted to change pvp, but they could have at least worked on aspects to pve to make things more balanced.

I don't have experience in writing plugins but i could always learn. I do know that most plugins are fairly large and take a decent amount of time to create and bug test so creating a custom plugin would take time.
Why do you wanna be a helper: i feel like this could turn out to be something awesome and need something to occupy my time more effectively than playing guitar hero. :/
What can you do as a helper?: I have plenty experience with moderation and web-coding (specifically html and css), i would probably spend around 1-4 hours a day on the server or helping with development. I am also very task-oriented and organized so i wont jump back and forth on tasks unless asked.
Do you have any experience with being a staff?: Yes. I have experience owning and moderating on a couple of small servers like epsiloncraft and aaron'sflatlandownworld(mc classic). Outside of minecraft I was an admin of a creepypasta page on facebook and own the correlated youtube page.

The server has been up for a few weeks now, public for a few days. The buildtools.jar that i used came directly from their direct download. Only the spigot jar and craftbukkit jar ame from the aforementioned site. But that is not the current issue that needs to be discussed. I need to know what i am suposed to do to solve my Permissions EX issue that has prevented other players from using their commands.

Oh <removed> is the website that i got the bukkit and spigot files from. These with the default method of buildtools and git gave me current software.
