To everyone who can't break anything on your server remember this:
/gamemode 1 (name) = creative mode
/gamemode 2 (name) = ADVENTURE MODE
/gamemode 3 (name) = survival mode
If you are on adventure mode, don't expect yourself to be able to break blocks. I didn't know that game mode 2 was adventure, so I was confused. make sure you switch out of this game mode if you want to break stuff
Check if you are on adventure mode. Adventure mode keeps you from breaking (hitting) anything. type /gamemode 1 name for creative mode, /gamemode 2 for adventure mode, or /gamemode 3 name for survival mode. Just switch out of adventure mode and remember that 2 is adventure mode!

if its -1 then change it to 0. if not it might be a mis-configuration in your permissions config." Uhh, there is no spawn radius in the .properties. I even reloaded a whole new server, still no spawn radius (and the problem is still present)
- What do you want to do on the server?: Make friends to build with. I am just sick and tired of trying to communicate with people who will just murder me on sight. -Have you ever been banned before on servers?: Once, on pleasantcraft. I hadn't done anything though. A lot of people got banned on that server. I just logged off one day, and when I came back the next, it told me I had been banned. As for what I did, I do not know. I think it is because Admins abused their powers. I did build an underground house, maybe that was against the rules? I didn't read them, but since then, I have started reading rules. - Why do you want to play?: Other than build with people, I suppose I really just want to make friends (who I probably will build with lol). - Do you agree to the rules?: Of course! The one thing I hate the most of all the rules broken is griefing. I like the rule you have set up so that no one is a murderer (if they follow the rules)

So I made a new server for 1.3. And at first It was going great, but now When I try to log in to MY OWN server that I am op for, and on the permission list for, I literally can not HIT anything. Not to say that I will break it and it will just re appear, but my character will hit once, as if there isn't anything there. What is going on? it doesn't do this on single player, just the server.
NOTE: This happened before, and it fixed after I deleted the entire map, and added a new one in the server. I don't want to have to do this because that means, EVERY map I make it will end up getting deleted because this happens on every map I make eventually. Not right away. And it only does this on the server. If I copy the map into single player, it works fine!
hehe, no. Minecraft is supposed to be a sandbox game where there are no rules to follow, and it is your game. This would limit to a player to everything. even if such a mode was of the players options, it would defeat some purpose to Minecraft
An interesting though, but I do not think it is something for mine craft. Maybe a mod or something, but I find no use for this. someone who wants a mod for it may need it, but I do not think the entire mine craft community needs it.
