Let me rephrase that. iOS has more apps and have better quality apps.

According to wiki (which I take with a grain of salt)

May 2012 Google play has 500,000 apps

March 7 2012 App store has 585,000 apps.

Im sure both stores have gained more apps. But the difference is negligible in terms of who has more apps.

October 4 2011 app store had 500,000 apps

October 2011 Google play had 319,000 apps

App store has gained 85k apps since October
Google has gained 181k apps since October

The rate of expansion says android app store will soon have more apps than IOS

Depends. iOS has the best apps. Android can't top iOS's apps. For apps, get the iPad. For basic web browsing and media consumption, go with Android.

This might have been true two years ago. But now android apps are on par with IOS apps.

Is the minecraft.exe on your desktop a shortcut to the default save directory for minecraft?
If so that is your problem. You need to point the bat file to the location minecraft is installed. Default directory is below

    C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\Minecraft.exe

Everything else looks correct for your .bat file. Although you may want to decrease it to 2gb. 1gb isn't a whole lot to let windows and your applications to run on.

By any chance are you running an Asus computer? Maybe it has something to do with the way the computers are built (even though I've swapped out virtually every part -_- )

I just re-installed the mod to see if it would make a difference the third time, still a bust. If it did anything it only increased the time it took it to jump.

That's unfortunate. I am at loss as to what it could be. :(

No I am not using an asus. I am using a Dell laptop :)

Slightly different build, but close. Im running a core I5 2.5ghz. 6gb ram. Nvidia Geforce GT550m 1gb.

    Sorry i couldn't help you more. :(

Why exactly do you need a 5.25" to 3.5" converter? Even if you do, you could get it for a far cheaper price.

I'm not sure why you are planning getting extra fans though. As it is, the HAF X comes with a 200mm front intake, a 200mm top exaust, a 230mm side-panel intake and a 140mm back exhaust. Having more is really not needed, espesially if you are not overclocking (which I would recommend with that processor). If really are concerned about temperature however, you may want to get a graphics card with an aftermarket heatsink design such as this or this. Both are currently out of stock though, so you may need to look around other stores for it.

I need it for the media card reader.

I was taking precautions for the future. I believe the factory fans will be plenty. However if they are not I would like to be prepared.
With the exception of one fan. The case comes with a bracket that mounts over dual video cards (optional of course.) You can attach an 80mm fan to it to help provide more cooling for the graphics cards.

I am not really concerned amount the temperatures however. I am certain the factory fans is plenty of cooling power. Like I said, just want to be prepared on the off chance I need more.

I am not planning on buying them initially of course. I plan on waiting to see if I need them when pushing the system.

Maybe I did over looked but you did said this.

Videogameget reminds me of those over seas tech support. They read off a page and don't use a bit of intelligence to fix your problem.

I am not going to argue with you over something so frivolous. Don't take hard feelings on forums.

I wasn't being rude. I made an observation. In your first post you proved you either didn't read the first post, or you over looked it. I also never said you didn't use intelligence. I said the over sea tech support doesn't use intelligence.

I have the same problem. Though mine only lasts above 30 seconds. It will sit at about 20 fps, after an appropriate amount of time has passed I jump to over 120 fps. I attribute this to loading chunks when first starting.

But you've already eliminated chunk updates. So Im not really sure what your problem may be. :(

Have you tried installing optifine multicore verison? If so did it reduce the amount of time it takes before it runs optimally?

What specs? And can I have a link to the optifine? Thanks :)

    Optifine

    Assuming you are using windows.

Go to start -> My Computer -> System properties (at the top)

Under the system box is most of your specs. Copy and paste them here.

While you are there on the left you should see something that says "Device Manager" Click that. A window should open. Look for the box that says display adapters. Click the arrow beside it. Then type the information you are given there, here. This will tell me what graphics card you have and the steps before tell me what your other specs are.

This allows me to see how good of a system you have so we can find out if the lag is normal for the computer you have or not. :)

Why are you not going to restart your computer?
    That would solve the problem.

    Download this

Install that, right click minecraft.jar and click unlock or whatever it says.

I haven't used the program for years. But it is what I use to use when files were being used by something else that I couldn't stop.

Well from my understanding, and this is how I picked the psu, is its better to have 80% efficiency or higher. With everything factored in I came up with 618w consumption, semi rough estimate. I think that was 80% of like 740w or something like that. So I just went up to 750. Like I said I am unsure what I may want to do in the future, as far as adding more components I am unsure. Id like to be a little safe and have wiggle room, instead of needing to buy a bigger power supply in the future.

Like I said I would like to be prepared. Back a few years ago before I got out of computers I would make videos, edit videos and edit photo's. I may not start doing that again, but on the off chance I do I would like to be capable of doing so.

The two optical drives is simple. Back in the day I frequently would burn discs. While doing so it prevented from reading another. It was very time consuming and irritating. I would like to avoid this again. I personally wont use the media card reader. But I often help people who use memory cards, so I am getting it for that purpose.

The reason the power supply is a little much is because I factored in adding 3 more fans to the case, and I'll be adding a ssd in the future. I took those into consideration when choosing my power supply. I like a little wiggle room.

As far as overclocking I am unsure at this time. It really depends on how everything performs. If I do plan on overclocking I will definitly buy an aftermarket cooler. But I'll come to that bridge when I get there.

I thought about getting just one gtx 670 for the time being. But after buying this computer I plan on buying a new vehicle, and a house. So I am unsure if I will be able to afford another for a while. Which is why I am going over the top now, just in case I can't replace anything for a while.

Hey guys, I will be building my first computer in a few months. After years of replacing nearly every part on a computer I decided Id build my own. I know about a lot of components, however there is a few things I do not know. For example I am worried I will buy something that will not work with something else I am buying.

I do not think this will be the case however. Just to make sure Im going to post my specs below. Let me know your guys opinions, advice. Its all appreciated. :)

My goal of the build is to be able to do anything I possibly can whenever I may need to. I plan on having this for at least 5 years. So I am building it to be able to play games for years to come, hopefully. Hardcore gaming will happen on this computer frequently.
