Great mod. Is there a way to transport items across large distances? I want to use RTools as a standalone mod since many other mods aren't uptodate. I would like to be able to funnel items into chests from other containers (i.e. excavation using the builder). Thanks

Is it a bug that you can create a close-loop infinite supply of power via the Lava Fabricator and a Fluid Transposer to fuel a MFR Steam Boiler? I can't see a reason to run a biofuel farm if the above creates power out of thin air. Thoughts?

I suggest Playing EPic Jump Map 9 i played it myself and it is a lot of fun een if you are playing "Forever Alone"
Is there a main site where people upload their maps, I'll try looking for it?
Sep 25, 2013Sorry if this has been posted elsewhere but I have been having trouble finding a resource. Where exactly is the best/most used method to download adventure maps? I have been strictly playing SSP but I want to play through a fun adventure map. Any suggestions? Thank you.Posted in: Maps Discussion

Rare drops require player kills, at which point you might as well farm non-rare blaze rods. That can be done afk, so could be considered semi-automatic.
Neither of these works as a furnace fuel for me, either in 1.6.2 or 13w36b.
thanks for verifying, i got excited about cactus too early lol.

Ethois making a bomb factory using creepers, skeletons, and snow golems in his LP world, and turning that into an automatic wood farm+collecter. It does require you to place saplings, and I believe that is the fastest way to get wood, and then just smelt that using a simple wood->charcoal furnace setup. Other options are a witch farm (for sticks), and cutting down trees (which is manual work).
True, that is quite a route. Can't wait to see him finish it. But then again, he's much better at starting projects than finishing, as he says lol.
Sep 10, 2013I was just wondering if anyone had any ideas on how to build an automatic/semiautomatic fuel farm? Something that takes the least amount of user interaction? Do you think a wood farm is the only way to go? Thanks.Posted in: Redstone Creations

the village is actually just over 1000 blocks away from my original spawn point (as I got the achievement for on the rails) and yes I dug down straight to bedrock but i will try a different spot in the area again to be sure (hopefully it's just that I was really unlucky on my dig down). I'll try the other thing you mentioned as well if this doesn't work.
Thanks I really appreciate the help. I'm still sorta new to the game, but I thought I had more or less figured it out (glitches/fixes and compact redstone circuits).
I am having the exact same issue, let me know how that goes

Output turns on for a tick, then gets locked for 3 ticks (=4), at which point it gets unlocked and the repeater still has its power for another 2 ticks (=6). So it stays on for 6 ticks
But really redstone can be fairly inconsistent in short timings so the only real way of telling how long a pulse is, is by attaching a line of repeaters to the output and seeing how many repeaters turn on. That's your pulse length
Thanks for your help. Do you know of a good resource that discusses redstone delays? For instance how did you know about the repeater staying on for 2 ticks? Thanks
May 24, 2013I am trying to understand how a pulse limiter combined with a pulse extender works. I am doing this in order to learn about the science behind delays. I am having a hard time understanding the delays when it comes to locking repeaters. It's a bit hard for me to even explain the issue I am having. Could someone please take a look at my attached image of a circuit and tell me if this creates a 5 tick output? Could someone please explain the process of this circuit specifically the locking repeater? I am trying to figure out how to accurately measure ticks. Thank you!Posted in: Redstone Discussion and Mechanisms

Yeah definitely join her to help her get a grasp of whats going on, but let her do everything by herself! Maybe to start with let her create a world on peaceful and teach her the basics of gathering materials, crafting, smelting, farming, etc. then let her get a decent house started before bumping her up to easy. Luckily my wife games so all she did was watch me play and started her own world on peaceful after a while .
Thats a good idea. I wasn't sure what difficulty to start her on. I was debating easy/normal so that hunger has an affect but she won't like getting attacked by mobs. But the mobs do give a reason as to why you need a shelter. I think I might try your way.
May 18, 2013I have been playing minecraft for about two years and I am trying to get my wife to play with me. She has never really played a true computer game before. Any suggestions on how to introduce her to the game? I was thinking about having her create her own survival world and I joining her in it. Any goals I should have in mind to make it interesting for her? Has anyone had any similar experiences? Thanks!Posted in: Survival Mode
