update V1.3 is now finished on the coding side! I plan, if nothing happens to keep me from uploading it, to release it tomorrow!
WHAT IS NEW IN V1.3
The mod has, up until now, always been a single mod housing all the chickens. This meant that it made it hard to select groups of chickens you wanted. Now with 1.3 that has changed, I have split the mod into 3 smaller mods with categories; Core (ore chickens and giant chicken), mobs (skeleton chicken, creeper chicken, and ender chicken), and items (snow, clay, rainbow, and cookie chickens).
With this you may be worried about losing any chickens you may have already but I have thought ahead and they will be replaced with a chicken from the correct mod and will be exactly the same, meaning that tamed ones will still be tamed, and any babies are going to still be as far into the growing stage as it was.
This also allows the ability for me to make versions that support other mods by giving an easy way to hook into the random spawn egg, and allow you to just use the pack for that mod, e.g. Thaumcraft pack for the Thaumcraft mod (this is a while away yet but is planned).
Bugs/issues that were fixed:
-Baby giant chicken's head was floating off the body.
-Chickens can now spawn in almost any biome, including from other mods, exception, quartz chicken still only spawns and is the only one that spawns in the nether and ender chicken is still the only one that can spawn in the end
Any bugs that you may know of from 1.2 please report now so i can get it fixed for 1.3!
Is this mod playable on 1.7.4?? if not can you try to update?? plzzzzz!
I am waiting for a recommended build of forge 1.7 to come out before updating because a lot of the work i am going to be doing soon will require mods that have yet to update to 1.7 as well. when i do update to 1.7 i will post it, and change the thread title to reflect it.

Did you get banned again? Because i can tell you havent been keeping up with the updates. There is a rainbow chicken and a quartz chicken now. And everyone is suggesting a zombie chicken now
how bout adding a spider chicken, lays string and rarly spider eye. zombie chicken, lays rotten fleach and rarly tool,armer, the stuff zombies drop rarly, creeper chicken drops gunpoder and rarly TNT,bat chicken can fly, lays gravel and rarly ores (dimond, iron,stuff like that) zombie pigman chicken drops gold nuggels and rarly gold ingot, ghast chicken , drops ghast tears and rarly regen pots (what else would a ghast chicken drop =/ ) wither skelloton chickon, lays bones/stone sword and ralry and i mean there rarly a wither sckelloton head, blaze chicken drow blaze poder and rarly blaze rods, weich chickon, lays pots. ingredeints (glowstone dust, water bottel, stuff like that) and rarly pots, and last but the one i rly want is the random chickon, spawns THARE RARLY lays anything all the other chickons in the mod lays. good mod i most say
I can say for sure that creeper chicken and the random chicken will not be added as they either are already in the mod or have something that would constitute as them. the rest of your suggestions will be put into the contest i am holding.
i'm going to say this, everyone still has the modpack, even though its not on the FTB launcher, i am not going to give details, but i am going to say that you should look around your computer and you might find it.
I can't download the mod... When I click on the spoiler, nothing comes up. I don't want to use skydaz or something else because right after I used skydaz, my comp got a virus

Well aince he hasnt posted it yet, on behalf of aubinator, i would to thank you all for coming out for the charity, i know i had a lot of fun as well as many others that i talked to over the week. The final total was a little over $2600 which is more than 5 times aubinators goal. Again thank you everyone for donating and taking part in the event!
Troll chicken- Looks like a diamond chicken, and has the same attacks but doesn't lay diamonds, it lays dirt or some other kind of item.

Whenever I heard the sound of a chicken, I'd ignore it and kill the chicken if I could find it. NOW.. It has me jumping in a tree hiding whenever I hear a chicken. XD
Lol, trust me when i say that even if you remove the mod, the chicken sound will scare the crap out of you. Everyone who has played and talked to me has also said they fear the cluck of chickens now. As for your suggestion, that could be a cool idea, i will consider it, and who knows, maybe it will be added in the future.
To everyone reading, i am holding a contest, suggest your best chicken, what it lays, effects it gives, how to tame it, breed it, and get it to follow you. Eveny a texture idea if you wish. The one i like the most i will add in v1.4 of the mod and the chicken will be named after the person who suggested it. This contest will last through Saturday February 1st so any that are suggested on Sunday February 2nd EST will not be entered. I look forward to seeing what you guys suggest.
We know the server is down. We are working on fixing it and until the issue has been resolved the server will be on and off. We will inform you on when we have finished. Look pretty kwl, but if you wanted to balance it you could just have the chickens drop nuggets of their respective ore, rather than the smelted bar or gem itself. Either way, an option for that in the config would be greatly appreciated
I probably will not add nuggets, if i do allow them to lay nuggets it will be from other mods.

What do you mean the same download link? I have not released a 1.3 update yet It will be a bug fix update as well as reworking how the code is organized i do not plan on adding any new chickens.
