Now that the Multiplayer Version is out, I thought we could get some famous YouTubers to start playing the map together. I personally would love it if Simon and Lewis from the Yogscast did a series on it!!
I tried to delete the world file, I couldn't. I used a command in my computer's terminal to delete it. Then, I deleted the world in the actual game. I put the folder back. Still didn't work, so I used the command again.
The folder says, (invalid encoding)? I'm using Linux on a Chromebook, could that be the reason?
I don't know. Can't you delete it normally without going to the command line? I'm not familiar with Linux, so sorry but I cannot help you.
Thanks For the information on that I cant wait for the Multiplayer to finally come out
Just to let you know, multiplayer download links SHOULD be working!!!
It took a HECK of a long time to add them in due to the minecraftforum's annoying editor which keeps fudging everything up >.> I swear... I was about to hit something...
Hi. This probably comes up a lot, but, is there a way of fixing the ending (molten core into cm) for ourselves or will there be an update released in time that fixes it its self?
is it possible to play the map without the texture and get the same experience or no? I REALLY WANT TO PLAY IT!
The resource pack is included WITHIN the world folder, so you DONT have to enable it or anything... Open the world folder and it will be called resources.zip. If you STILL can't find it, then download it here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/nbn0wj135noxqi9/resources_PC.zip?dl=1
I came here to say ... that I've lost my thoughts ... there's really no way I could feasibly describe how awesome this map is in words alone.
I'm enjoying every minute of playing it through.
It really makes my day to see comments like these! Really glad you're enjoying it. And right now I'm uploading the first version of Multiplayer!!! So now you can all play with a friend!
I am at quest 14. ( making bread) when i planted the seeds i bonemealed them and when i colected it it didnt drop any seeds. Now i cant plant anymore because i dont have any seeds. Got any advice?
If you're playing in the standard version, you can kill creepers to get seeds and saplings. If you're playing LC, open the world to LAN with cheats enabled and spawn some in.
I think there is a bug or glitch in easy core , I died in easy core and the helmet destroy by creepers. As the result I can't play the map because I kept dying.
The suit in the ship will regenerate with each death.
Hey I love your map but I have one issue when Im sieving 75% of the time nothing comes out is there a solution to this issue if there is please message me
I'm still looking into this issue. Could you tell me what map version you're playing on and what Java version? If you're using Java 7, update to 8.
I am using Java 8, and after watching your "how the sieve works" video I think I figured out what is causing this bug: the items that randomly spawn on the grid of armor stands down in the command block area aren't despawning after each use of the sieve, so I can only get one of every type of drop until every pressure plate is held down and I have to wait for them to despawn normally before I can use the sieve again. Is there any way I can fix this without redownloading the world?
The items get killed every half-second. If you want, you can see for yourself if the items are down there and not despawning. Open the world to LAN and enable cheats, gamemode 1 and then dig down just behind the ship. I am unsure how a lot of people are experiencing this problem though as I cannot, for the life of me, reproduce it at all.
Inspired by the map itself (and the map creator) and Affonylmpastarr's post, I shall quote some of Affonylmpastarr's statements and add my own though on to that. I as well do not intend to insult any work done here, I'm just willing to give critique and suggestions to this amazing work.
Broad Introduction:
Exploration:
Items:
Quests:
Appreciated Qualities:
Events
Filetype
Hydration and temperature
Conclusion:
My feelings about this map are quite simple. I'm amazed about how much work was done in just vanilla and I am positively encouraged to express it on your map page. The amount of thought that got into this map is impressive, I can only commend that. I feel that perhaps it's not balanced quite correctly and there a few things that could be added (which is why I hope you are going to update this map). Once this map is "completed", this is going to be my favourite minecraft map of all (currently it is close to first place, though) - and therefore I shall give you a "business" suggestion - I am willing to join/help you out with building, artwork, or brainstorming lessons because this project is extremely awesome and I would thoroughly enjoy joining you in future endeavours reguarding this map.
Thanks for reading.
I could go through some of the points one by one, but I think I'll just touch on some of the main ones. Please firstly realise that this is only my second ever adventure map. I have only ever made 1 before this and it was relatively crap. Also remember that this is Vanilla. I'm limited in what I can achieve purely with command blocks and without causing too much lag. Anyway, now onto some of your points:
- Grinding for water is tough
You can get water when you place the wet foliage in a furnace and a bucket in the slot underneath. The furnace will dry out the leaves and leave a water bucket in the bottom slot.
- Exploration is boring
There is a 2000x2000 area map to explore. You don't need much water if you don't do too much sprint-jumping and are careful. Lots of areas of the map actually help the player, (finding items in chests etc), but I wanted to keep the core gameplay near the ship. Hell, I got enough complaints asking where mossy cobblestone is when it's literally around 50 blocks away...
- Crafting is a hassle
Custom crafting cannot be done any better without using tonnes more command blocks.
I appreciate that you do have some good points and I am planning on making a sequel which will hopefully improve upon the areas which people felt this map lacked.
So my current quest says to acquire 3 iron ingots, 3 zinc ingots and 3 charcoal/coal. I have 3 iron ingots, 3 zinc ingots, and 3 charcoal in my inventory and the quest is not completed. Help please?
Craft them into a galvanised steel ingot. See the recipe book for details on how to craft it.
I didn't have to redo the quests because all my stuff was the same as before. The quest book was on the grappling hook quest still and I had all my items.
Then you clearly did not update the map. Updating the map means downloading a new world and starting again. If you feel like you want to cheat your way through the chests, open the world to LAN and spawn in the items and do the quests quickly and you'll see that the grappling hook is fixed.

Hey everyone!!

I started a reddit thread here: http://www.reddit.com/r/Yogscast/comments/2zwfj9/suggestion_planetary_confinement_the_dunes/
You can also suggest the map using the form they have: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1efc_qzwKbWRRtJ4Zb6NbisR_1Yl8XHEbIaTlkBzYCjw/viewform
Please suggest it to as many people as possible Thank you!
