quick question. How would one go to effectively parent the Armour(as the 3d figure) onto the character rig?
Append in the armor (shift+f1), Use G to move the armor and place it carefully on the character rig. (Holding shift while moving will move the armor slower, and press x, y, z or mousewheel to move it in a specific axis. Just some tips to help move it more precisely)
Then to parent the armor:
1. Go into pose mode with the bones for the character rig.
2. Select the armour
3. Hold shift while selecting the bone you want to parent the armor to.
4. Press P
5. Select "Object"
And you should be good to go!
Hope this helped, if you're still having problems, let me know!
Hey! I am trying to make a night scene, but the lighting doesn't seem to be working from me; there is a lot of ambient light but i can't get rid of it. I have deleted very light, make sure that ambient lighting is off, and none of the textures have the emit property enabled, but there still is light! Any help is greatly appreciated!
Are you using internal or cycles render engine?
In internal, if all light sources are deleted and ambient occlusion is turned off under world properties, everything should be black. In that case you must have missed a lightsource somewhere, could it possible be hidden? (Alt + H to show all hidden objects)
If you are using cycles, keep in mind that the sky emits light as well, so try to give the sky a darker color.
A software that allows you to convert your old 64x32 skins into the new 64x64 skin format.
Convert both local skin files as well as skins in use by players simply by entering a username.
It's 100% free, extremely easy to use and no installation is required!
Can you try to work on support for the new skin format? That would be awesome!
yea, I already have some plans for it. There's a new update coming out for the rig this weekend, I won't be able to make it until then.
But I'll make sure to get it into the next one after that
the texture loads on the rigs like MinecraftPlayer but on my best(and favorite) rig the texture file doesnt load, ive tried everything i can think of to fix too :/
Try this:
1. Append the item rig into the set/rig you wanted it in. (Shift + F1)
2. Press "N" in the 3D view to bring up the toolbar at the left, Go under display and Select "Texture Solid" http://prntscr.com/2g8npg

At the download page there are 2 downloads, Internal and Cycles.

Since your currently using Cycles you need to download the cycles rig.
Internal and Cycles are 2 different render engines, you can switch between them at the top:

If there is any developers out there that would like to have a look at the source code, I posted it here:

Turns out I had got the new skin layout wrong, and the left arm and leg would be missing after converting.
But that is fixed and tested now! So it should work perfectly fine!
I also added a option too add a hat and a second layer template so you know where to draw.
