HELP I set up a ship properly bu the warp controller wont power

Generate a ship and see if that works. If it does then you have not set something up properly. If it doesn't, what versions of the mods are you using?

I got 1 prob i do everything i go into advanced computer i type "pastebin get FAexu8FH startup"and it says No such program...

    H E L P !!!

You need to change the http_enable= line in the CC config file to say http_enable=true
If that doesn't work, there is a solution here http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/1938578-164-warpdrive-mod-ships-space-lasers/page__st__800#entry31131142

And what about the L.pos() ? where do I place it?

The pos() method returns the coordinates of the actual laser. You need them to work out the vector to fire along.
Anon explains it best here http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/1938578-164-warpdrive-mod-ships-space-lasers/page__st__780#entry31022053

Omg, playing in multiplayer did a huge difference! Things do work better in it! :D For instance, the CM actually did something according to the commands! It fires at the targeted direction. However, it acts like a normal laser, destroying the target instead of measuring its coordinates and stuff... Here's a pic of that happening:
    http://imgur.com/6bwG97n

Perheaps 1420 is not my targeting frequency? I don't know... any thoughts?
    Thanks

Double check you have set the laser frequency on the camera+laser to 1420 and not the camera frequency.
the laser frequency is set by using freq(1420) and the camera frequency is set by using camFreq()

    Here are them:

    Laser setup: http://imgur.com/k6ZmNbF
    CC code: http://imgur.com/589rU1e
Red light that appears once I execute the CC code file: http://imgur.com/AP2bYyl
PB never recharging due to the CL that never stops attempting to work: http://imgur.com/PTrPsPp

I have noticed that I did not put the L.pos() command anywhere in the code. Should I?

Also, should I experiment setting all this up in my multiplayer server? As you said WrapD wasn't very suitable for singleplyr...

If you set it up on your multiplayer server does it do the same thing?
If you're happy to, send me your server address and I'll connect and check out what's happening see if I can figure it out for you.

Hi! Sorry for the sudden disappearance :/ , but my exam season started and I had to drop everything not related to them... If you don't remember me, I'm the guy with the issued cameralaser who had no idea how to setup a laser... I've just restarted setting one, but the problematic CM continues. However, there is some new information I would like to add: -when I execute the laserstuff file, a small beam appears in the CM (small red light on its corner). -I am supposing that the CM is being activated by the file; and permanently, as it keeps on consuming energy endlessly. The proof of this is the fact that the PB never recharge after that, losing any energy they acquaire. -Also, all this still happens even if I eliminate the CL.getFirstHit() command from the file. This is becoming a unsolvable jigsaw... any ideas on what is going on? PS: i got some screenshots of what I have just described, I can post them if helpful. Thanks in advance, ricardogr

Can you post the screenshots of your setup and the CC code you are using?

Hello, I was going to use this mod to do an epic star-trek-style space battle between ships, but I cannot figure out how to use the lasers. The showcase says there is a tutorial on the forum, but I cannot find one. Can you create a tutorial for lasers?

Checkout page 40 for instructions on lasers: http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/1938578-164-warpdrive-mod-ships-space-lasers/page__st__780#entry31061278
Also page 41. Between the two pretty much every question is answered.

    Quote from ConnerSnikle

I don't have a server, could you make a quick video and explain all that?

Sorry ConnerSnickle, I don't do videos.
If you are playing the mod in single player though, you should note that single player is not officially supported.

I can't get the infinite energy block in the creative inventory. Please help.

What mod's do you have installed? WarpDrive (as far as I can see) does not have an infinite energy block. As you've been told already, there is one in Resonant Engine which is the core mod of Resonant Induction

Is there any documentation or examples for the radar or other peripherals? I'd like to make a radar for my ship, but with out documentation i'm stuck.

Page 40 and 41 have pretty much the answer to most questions in this forum.
The methods to use the radar are here: http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/1938578-164-warpdrive-mod-ships-space-lasers/page__st__780#entry31013974

I don't know why people refuse to answer the radar question but here is one that I found on pastebin that works: pastebin get 2zLxt0PD Hope that helps (I know it is a late reply)

It's not that people are refusing to answer the question, it's more so that it has already been answered (http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/1938578-164-warpdrive-mod-ships-space-lasers/page__st__800#entry31109962)

The mod is awesome and most of it works. But the main issue i have is once I've jumped with a ship, the cables don't connect to the warp core, and it stops receiving power. Another issue is when i jump in ships on smp i get an internal server error. I have a feeling that this is a problem with my setup, not the mod, but i felt it was worth bringing up.

The issue with the cables losing connection is a known issue.

For the error you are getting we need to see logs or we can't help.

    Quote from ConnerSnikle

I need help on everything, the coding i can easily get, i don't know the machinery setup and what computers need to be programed.
    Please help me.

The machine set up is basic, make sure you have a particle booster next to the laser and power the particle booster. Use a computer to connect to the laser and issue commands.
To use the camera+laser it still needs a particle booster touching it.
You can have up to 10 particle boosters in a line for max laser strength, they all need to be powered.

The easiest set up is a camera+laser with a particle booster touching it. Have a WarpDrive monitor on the same frequency as the camera frequency and when you use the monitor it will connect to the camera and you can fire that laser by pressing space.
You will need a computer to set the frequencies.

Once you have that working it's just a matter of the coding to make more complicated setups.

If you need a hand PM me and we can arrange a time for me to connect to your server and show you.

I did, still very confused about the lasers. Full basic setup instructions would be very helpful.

Which part of the set up do you need help on? Is there a part that you're not understanding?

when I do startup in the computer it says no warpcore controller detected can someone help me fix this issue?
    Quote from LemADEC

A warp controller block shall be in contact with your advanced computer.
The controller block shall be in contact with your warp core.

Also, check your version of CC. It should be 1.58

You need to use the Advanced Computer, dood. It's a rookie mistake. I tried to use a normal computer the first time too. :steve_wink:

Now I'm getting "No Such Program" :/ Sorry, I'm such a n00b at CC stuff.

Oh wait! I restarted my PC, and now it generated the config files(the CC config files weren't generating before I rebooted) where I enabled the Http API, and now everything's like clockwork!

Good to hear it's all working for you.

Okay, I'm probably being a complete noob, but when I try to hook up the computer, it does everything right until I do "startup", which then it says no Warp Controller detected, when it's right next to the Warp Controller. What am I doing wrong?

You need to have CC 1.58

    Quote from epicguyof1337

When I try to run the program, it says startup:16: Color not supported

    Fix anyone?

    Use the advanced computer

Hi, love your mod. Am I allowed to port it to UniversalElectricity?

I'm curious if you port this to UE and remove the IC2 dependency, what are you going to do to replace the non-power related requirements from IC2 like the scuba helmet to breathe in space?

    Quote from frenteria

Everytime I warp, the fiber cables disconnect from the warp core as well as in other places. Rebuilding the fiber cables does not result in reconnecting to the core. The warp core will not connect with anything after a warp jump. I have seen two other posts with this same problem. Is there a fix? I used the ship that is generated with the 'generate' command (and of course replaced the computer with an advanced one and added a warp controller) Please help!!

    Cisco

This is a known problem but as yet no fix has been released for it. I've been breaking the WarpCore and putting it down again to get the cables to reconnect. The issue is on GitHub if you want to see it - https://github.com/Cr0s/WarpDrive/issues/25
