Apologies for the grave bump, but I found a way to remove them without installing additional software. Place some TNT over them so the Fire Charge is inside the TNT, then set the TNT off. The force of the blast will unfreeze them and send them off in a random direction. This is ideal if there's only one floating Fire Charge, but quite a pain if you have a wall of them.

Thx, glad someone bothered to reply :) This is still a thing, and I guess I'll use TnT - had it happen to me with thaumcraft 5

This command works to get rid of them:

This worked for me to delete the floating fire charges on our server:

    /kill @e[type=SmallFireball]

loving this mod, it adds a lot to survival gameplay <3

one wierd thing I noticed but havent tested thoroughly is I had a buggy spawner that didnt quite stop/remove from game

it was one of those poison spider spawners with thaumcraft and when i broke it with a pick axe the particles remained. I really didn't test it further, don't know if logging in and out fixes it. I'll update again if I run into it some more.

Not sure if this is normal, but it seems some chuncks (16x16 square) amiright? spawns with snow covering or ice. This happens a lot in hot/temperate biomes and biomes like RWG river

i have big trees installed and I have biomes o plenty and ubc and thaumcraft thats about it.

I can't quite figure it out not sure if this is normal or not it seems wrong and it's very patchy/glitchy looking

I'm guessing it has more to do with the big trees spawning in or something...

I don't have this problem outside dimension 0

*** yeah the culprit is big trees, RWG > big trees mod xD thx, figured I would let u know ur mod is workin good!!!

I notice this bug is entirely cosmetic and seems to just be related to having big trees spawning in the world at generation. Even other mods that ad in big trees or biomes with them pop in and create wierd patches here and there. I reckon it could be ignored or it will iron itself out at some point. I don't think it functionally changes the biome or makes it colder (if RWG even regesters temps yet (would be surprised i forge didn't do something)

I see the option to enable different custom generation for multi[ple dimensions, any way to create some default values for the core/fusion/netherrocks mods

Config files confuse me and i'm lazy, really do like the mod, but not sure I want to mess with adding it to ALL:ALL or different ages

would be nice for it to work out of the box in all dimensions or just have a simple boolean, true false to get it working across ages

Oh, and the XML configs are very pretty and well documted (they are awesome in notepad++) alas (and i think you probably plan to put dimension configs in that) but there are none there would be nice than having to enable custom config lines in the api config

I guess if it is a problem with proper mod support of yours I get that too

Dense forest, looks allot like the magical forest from Thaumcraft. Both look awesome.

    Indeed very much so! :D

@mystic 1.8 is not ready yet, they need the crash reports though and any other good bug information you can to get it ready

I think they released it in an alpha state hoping they would get some data, IMO i would have wanted to have a limited alpha but they are pretty transparant and awesome on the BoP reddit/github about what their developing and how so it makes sense the 1.8 is so buggy for a public release

Sorry ur having probs. I'm still using mainly thaumcraft only so I wouldn't want to update for awhile anyway, but i feeeeel ur pain, cause there is a lot of goodness in 1.8

But it is the most drastic re-write and update of minecraft to date. So expect a really long time. Not much the modders can do about it. I'm sure their just as frustrated as you.

Did any one ever find a fix for stairs and walls turning into gneiss?

Long time ago, updating to newer versions of waila and NEI fixed it. I think the bug was in waila, and when that got fixed this mod worked fine.

    Sorry for the long reply.

I hope we get updates again :) I know a lot of people are patiently waiting for 1.8 to become the stable version.

TBH though, this is the best rock generation mod out there. Wish other modders would support it a bit better.

also, noticed an update to a new release on the files site :) with more mod support XD :D

also, anyone who wants to use wildcaves with this is super easy, just add the 3 rock types to the wildcaves3 block whitelist

That fix is no longer needed, Optifine updated and fixed the issue.

Thanks, I guess a 1.7.10 update came out.

Much much kudos to the fine folks at optifine for getting out a same day patch regardless of who is responsible! (I'm amazed, that was quick).

    did a quick search for java.lang.NoSuchMethodError: com.mojang.authlib.minecraft.MinecraftProfileTexture.(Ljava/lang/String;)V

and immediately found this super helpful thread. I had spent an hr scratching my head and trying different versions of forge, rolling back, trying to figure out what happened (i had played just this morning) on a fairly recent forge version wondering what could possibly be wrong lol.

I can see the age minecraft has now, and how it wasn't designed for this kind of environment at all. Maybe it will live a lot longer now that the kinks are getting worked out of it. I see a lot of good bug fixes from forge, and I guess, ultimately, stuff like this from Mojang will add to the longevity of the game.

But yeeesh, haven't seen this kind of bug fixing for a while in software.

Kind of cool, looks like a sandstorm :D!

It's be awesome if it picked up and went away, like the rain does (without the rain OFC -- because it hardly rains in the deserts). If it did rain, it would have to it a lot, and flood parts of the terrain!

That would be hard, maybe. Have it rain so much it places 'water buckets' in areas, and starts flowing/flooding. Heehee!

Offtopic, but there use to be a mod that did this, back in the 1.3 or 1.5 days, back when mystcraft was kind of new, and it actually made puddles which eventually became water sources and would dry up between rainstorms, so ages with perpetual storms flooded.z
