A true - Gentleman... Now I hope his parents let him use it.
I don't understand. My parents have no problem with me installing and downloading things. My friend's parent does. I'm pretty sure that my friend can access a web page with little trouble.
Okay, scratch the, original post... Now my plugins REFUSE to make the files when I start the server.... WTF? O.o
Did you remember to ask politely and say please? Lol jks.
Anyways, you really should ask Fragnet for this as they are the experts for their own servers. (Or should be anyways.)
Another PVP / Factions server with godly donator items?
This sponsorship request is well written, but the idea isn't the best. (Not original at least.)
Also, you don't need a dedicated IP. You can use SRV records to direct your domain name to a port.
Why don't you show him around it by using the demo found on the McMyAdmin website?
Because the demo on the website won't load.
I get about a minute of loading time, and then the standard chrome error message when the connection timeouts.
"This webpage is not available
Google Chrome could not load the webpage because play.phonicuk.com took too long to respond. The website may be down, or you may be experiencing issues with your Internet connection."
Can you provide screenshots where you ran a MC server with 1MB of ram and McMyadmin?
The only way to provide you with that to experiment with is not on a game server, you need a VPS or make your own server locally. I suggest seriously, now, I suggest you create your own local server with your existing WIN7 install and run it locally.
Please send me your screenshots via PM
Since a normal cl looks like this:
Xmx1024M -Xms1024M -jar minecraft.jar
Will yours look like this:
Xmx 0001M -Xms 0001M -jar minecraft.jar
I do not intend for the actual .jar file to run. I'm attempting to have a McMyAdmin 2.0 panel to show a friend how to use it at their house, without downloading the panel because their parents prevent them from downloading and/or installing programs. I just stated 1 megabyte because I thought that some amount of memory was required in order to provision the server. If this is false, zero memory is fine too. I know that McMyAdmin can still be used even if the server is offline.
(My parents don't allow me to invite friends over and I don't have a laptop, so that doesn't work either. I'm also not allowed to access the router, and there is a password on it. No, I won't factory reset it because lots of configuration is done on it, and my parents would know. Admin log ins on the router also send an e-mail to my dad, so I can't brute force it. If you're going to suggest that I plug my computer directly into the modem, I don't have a long enough cable. My computer is located on the second floor and the modem in the basement.)

Are you sure you didn't make a typo? There is no way you can do anything on a 1 MB server.
Most hosts that I know of, allocate the amount of memory sold to the actual java dump file, and cover the rest as overhead. Well, if your host doesn't do that, then enough to run McMyAdmin would be good.
Essentially, enough to run McMyAdmin is good, I assumed that most hosts don't count that as memory use because that's what Provision Host does.
Use permission managers like PEX or GroupManager and make two ranks called Team Red and Team Blue?
You can also make more sub ranks if you'd like. For each of the teams, add permission nodes for the abilities you want to grant them. Use CommandSigns or whichever plugin you want to promote them to each team from the default rank.
In my opinion, you should definitely just go and pay for hosting. Setting up and maintaining a server is a great learning experience, but you can probably ask your dad if you want to do that just for fun. A Minecraft server uses a LOT of bandwidth, especially if there's hundreds of players on. Your connection speed also needs to be top notch, which residential connections usually aren't. Also, Internet Service Providers usually don't allow running servers in their Terms of Service. Also, latency should be greater on a residential pipe even if you do get it running. More hops are needed in order to reach your server.
What I think you should do is purchase a server from your dad, and co-locate it at a datacenter. Should probably be a 1U unit to save the most money.
(I haven't done any of this before, so research this yourself before taking my word on it.)
Hello, I'm here today to ask for a free or Über low cost server with 1Mb of ram. A nice 200Mb allocation of HDD space would be good too.
No, I'm not crazy, I'm only looking for one week of free hosting so that I can test out the McMyAdmin control panel with the user adding features and other stuff like that. I know that there is no logical reason for any of you to help me, but please? Out of the kindness of your ♥s?

I "lol" at this.

Meh, the equation isn't linear. After a certain point, there's a higher player to RAM ratio. The issue with 500 players isn't the RAM, it's the CPU.

Thank you very much! I hope the cost to you wasn't too big.

When he said "...much more free...", I think he meant freedom, not cost.

I wonder if you ever even read his post.
