Yes no SRV records as its more time consuming in the long run, its from register.com but the DNS is managed by cPanel (I know how, but I will not be providing SRV records unfortunately)
Urgh, register.com. Well, you're a company at least. Most individuals that register there receive telemarketing calls and spam mail soon after they sign up.
Yeah, SRV is time consuming. Any chance that we can custom request an OS? Or is it all collectively managed under Windows?
Okee last post I can make due to my new account >_>
Will I still be able to buy a server from you, even if the website is not setup? and sorry if I missed it, but where do I send to the money to?

"Want to receive a free Minecraft server? The process is very simple. If you would like a free Minecraft server up to 3GB (you will choose between 1-3GB when placing your order) a one-time fee of $5.00USD is required. You are required to send $5.00USD to "[email protected]". Once you have sent the payment, please create a post on this thread with either your transaction ID or PayPal email and the desired amount of RAM, and we will send your details within 24 hours (though we strive to setup between 1-5 hours) through private message."
Hello there. I just wanted to know, can I buy a 12GB server? Or for anything above 4GB do I have to wait for the website form thingy?
I would also like a domain (eg) play.angelrealms.com or something, Thanks in advance
I'm sure you can custom request, but it'll take a bit longer. That's what someone else did.
For the domain name, you gotta get it yourself. I recommend using Namecheap and the coupon code MAYFLOWERS.
What's so hard about port forwarding? Called common sense if you do not understand the base of your router and where everything is there are easy guides for everything for every specific router. I was port forwarding 8113 for warcraft 3 only took me 2mins and that's the first time i had to port forward on my new router.
And you don't have to pay money! You can use hamachi though it is a pain in the @ and it's not very professional looking. and server hosting is very cheap 5$/month for 10 slots recommended if you think that's too much then all i can say is "I lost hope for humanity"
Problem here is that not all parent's allow the child to have access to the router. That, and nobody really wants to join a Hamachi Server.
Hmm, this is an unfortunate situation. I will see if I can try to pull up the console view from the administrative side of VMWare (which I don't have direct access to). I'll see what I can accomplish later tonight..
I think I stumbled around and screwed up too much, so if it's easier for you, you can just delete the virtual server and reset it. I didn't even install the Minecraft Server yet, just java.
Umm, what do we do with out VPS if we accidently crashed it? I clicked something in network, the screen hanged, and now I can't RDP into my server anymore. Whoops.
I actually host one of my own Minecraft servers there and I LOVE it!
They have good enterprise quality hardware like most other hosts do, but what makes them stand out in my eyes is there superb customer support!
I'd recommend their Redstone plan which provides 2.5 Gb of RAM. It also comes with an McMyAdmin 2.0 Control Panel!
It has a recommended player slot of 70, and I heard that their player slot recommendations are real! They expect you to use craftbukkit or some other mod, not vanilla. I've also heard that they allocate RAM to the control panel separately so that you can have the most ram for your server! I'd suggest you to really check out their site and contact support on the Live chat if you have any questions!
I wouldn't really trust any host that has advertisements on their website. Do you notice the Google ads at the bottom? How unprofessional. The multiple verification logos they have also don't mean anything. My PayPal account is verified and I could use that logo too. Just means that they have a bank account attached to their PayPal, The DMCA thing is not verified because they didn't pay. Their blog has a total of one post. You're better off going somewhere else to buy. I'm really not sure where to go, but not there.
Hmm, this does seem quite legitimate. I'm just wondering, because the goal of every business it to make money. It's literally in the definition of business. How do you cover the costs for all this, and why are you using Windows Server 2012?

Alright. And no SRV records? Which registrar does mineport.net use?

Probably meant that they can set up a free subdomain for you from places like noip.
Minecraft servers only? Or VPS too?
